| 1 | ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܡܢܟ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܒܥܘܬܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܩܪܒ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܘܨܠܘܬܐ ܘܬܚܢܢܬܐ ܘܬܘܕܝܬܐ ܚܠܦ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܀ | I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; |
| 2 | ܚܠܦ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܪܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܥܘܡܪܐ ܫܠܝܐ ܘܢܝܚܐ ܢܥܡܪ ܒܟܠܗ ܕܚܠܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܕܟܝܘܬܐ ܀ | For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. |

| 4 | ܗܘ ܕܨܒܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܢܚܘܢ ܘܢܬܦܢܘܢ ܠܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܀ | Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. |
| 5 | ܚܕ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܚܕ ܗܘ ܡܨܥܝܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܕܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܀ | For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; |
| 6 | ܗܘ ܕܝܗܒ ܢܦܫܗ ܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܚܠܦ ܟܠ ܐܢܫ ܤܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܐܬܬ ܒܙܒܢܗ ܀ | Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. |
| 7 | ܗܝ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܬܤܝܡܬ ܟܪܘܙܗ ܘܫܠܝܚܗ ܩܘܫܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܕܓܠ ܐܢܐ ܕܗܘܝܬ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܕܥܡܡܐ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܀ | Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. |
| 8 | ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܗܘܘ ܡܨܠܝܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܒܟܠ ܕܘܟܐ ܟܕ ܡܪܝܡܝܢ ܐܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܕܟܝܐܝܬ ܕܠܐ ܪܘܓܙܐ ܘܕܠܐ ܡܚܫܒܬܐ ܀ | I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. |
| 9 | ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܢܫܐ ܒܐܤܟܡܐ ܢܟܦܐ ܕܠܒܘܫܐ ܒܬܚܡܨܬܐ ܘܒܢܟܦܘܬܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܬܨܒܝܬܗܝܢ ܠܐ ܒܓܕܘܠܐ ܘܒܕܗܒܐ ܐܘ ܒܡܪܓܢܝܬܐ ܐܘ ܒܢܚܬܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܀ | In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; |
| 10 | ܐܠܐ ܒܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܝܐܐ ܠܢܫܐ ܕܡܫܬܘܕܝܢ ܕܚܠܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܀ | But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. |
| 11 | ܐܢܬܬܐ ܒܫܠܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܝܠܦܐ ܒܟܠ ܫܘܥܒܕ ܀ | Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. |
| 12 | ܠܐܢܬܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܡܠܦܘ ܠܐ ܡܦܤ ܐܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܠܡܡܪܚܘ ܥܠ ܓܒܪܐ ܐܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܒܫܠܝܐ ܀ | But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. |
| 13 | ܐܕܡ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܓܒܠ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܚܘܐ ܀ | For Adam was first formed, then Eve. |
| 14 | ܘܐܕܡ ܠܐ ܛܥܐ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܛܥܬ ܘܥܒܪܬ ܥܠ ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܀ | And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. |
| 15 | ܚܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܝܕ ܝܠܕܝܗ ܐܢ ܢܩܘܘܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܚܘܒܐ ܘܒܩܕܝܫܘܬܐ ܘܒܢܟܦܘܬܐ ܀ | Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. |
