| 2 | Syng for Herren, lova hans namn, forkynn frå dag til dag hans frelsa! | Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. |
| 3 | Fortel millom heidningar hans æra, millom alle folkeslag hans under! | Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. |
| 4 | For Herren er stor og mykje lovsungen, skræmeleg er han framfor alle gudar. | For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. |
| 5 | For alle gudar hjå folki er avgudar; men Herren hev gjort himmelen. | For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. |
| 6 | Høgd og herlegdom er for hans åsyn, styrke og prydnad i hans heilagdom. | Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. |
