| 2 | Herre, høyr på mi røyst, lat dine øyro merka mi bønerøyst! | Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
| 3 | Dersom du, Herre, vil gøyma på misgjerningar, Herre, kven kann då standa? | If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? |
| 4 | For hjå deg er forlatingi, at dei skal ottast deg. | But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. |
| 5 | Eg vonar på Herren, mi sjæl vonar, og eg ventar på hans ord. | I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. |
