1	새 언약 안에서 하나님을 섬기는 새 길이 열리다 사실 첫 번째 언약에도 하나님을 섬겨 예배하는 규정과 세상에 딸린 거룩한곳(성소)이 있었습니다.	Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
2	천막이 마련되었는데, 첫째 칸에는 등불받침대와 상과 차려 둔 거룩한빵(진설병)이 있습니다. 이곳을 ‘거룩한곳(성소)’이라고 합니다.	For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
3	두 번째 나눔막 뒤에는 ‘거룩거룩한곳(지성소)’이라고 하는 천막이 있습니다.	And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
4	거기에는 금으로 된 분향 제단과 모든 면이 금으로 입혀진 언약상자가 있습니다. 언약상자 안에는 만나를 담은 금항아리와 아론의 싹 난 지팡이와 언약을 새긴 돌판들이 있습니다.	Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
5	언약상자 위로는 영광스러운 크룹들이 속죄판을 덮어 그림자를 드리우고 있습니다. 이것들에 대해 지금은 일일이 말할 수 없습니다.	And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
6	이러한 것들이 이렇게 갖추어져 있어서, 천막의 첫째 칸으로 제사장들이 언제든지 들어가서 하나님을 섬기는 직무를 다합니다.	Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
7	그러나 둘째 칸으로는 1년에 딱 한 번, 대제사장만 들어갑니다. 그것도 자신을 위해 또 백성이 알지 못하고 지은 죄를 위해 가져다 바치는 피가 없이는 들어가지 않습니다.	But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
8	이로써 성령님이 보여 주시는 사실은, 거룩한곳(성소)으로 들어가는 길이 아직은 드러나지 않았다는 것입니다. 첫 번째 천막이 그대로 서 있는 동안에는요.	The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
9	첫 번째 천막은 현재 세대를 빗대어 가리키는 것입니다. 천막의 규례를 따라 예물과 희생제물을 가져다 바치지만, 예배하는 사람의 양심을 그것들이 완전하게 할 수 없습니다.	Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
10	그것들은 오직 여러 음식과 여러 음료와 다양한 씻는 예식에 관한 것으로, 육신에 관련된 규정들입니다. 새로운 질서가 설 때까지만 효력이 있습니다.	Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
11	그러나 그리스도께서 이미 현실이 된 좋은 일들의 대제사장으로 와 계십니다. 그분이 들어가신 천막은 더 크고 완전합니다. 그 천막은 손으로 만든 것이 아닙니다. 곧 이 창조 세계에 속한 것이 아니라는 말입니다.	But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12	그분은 숫염소나 송아지의 피를 통하지 않고, 자기 자신의 피를 쏟으셨습니다. 그렇게 단 한 번 거룩한곳(성소)에 들어가셔서, 영원히 죄에서 풀어 주는 일을 해내셨습니다.	Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13	숫염소나 황소의 피와 더럽혀진 사람들에게 뿌리는 암송아지의 재가 그들을 거룩하게 하여 육신을 깨끗하게 합니다.	For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14	그렇다면 그만큼 더 그리스도의 피가 효력이 있을 것입니다. 그분은 영원한 성령님을 통해 자신을 흠 없는 제물로 하나님께 바치신 분이십니다. 그분의 피가, 죽음에 이르게 하는 행실들로부터 우리의 양심을 깨끗하게 하여 살아 계신 하나님을 섬기도록 할 것입니다.	How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15	그리스도의 죽으심으로 유효하게 된 새 언약 이런 까닭에 그리스도께서는 새 언약의 중보자이십니다. 그리스도께서는 첫 번째 언약 아래 있을 때 엇나간 죄에서 우리를 완전히 풀어 주시려고 죽으셨기 때문입니다. 그리하여 부름받은 사람들이 약속하신 영원한 상속을 받게 해 주셨습니다.	And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
16	유언이 있는 곳에서는 유언한 사람의 죽음이 반드시 확인되어야 합니다.	For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17	유언은 그 사람이 죽은 것을 봐야 유효하게 되기 때문입니다. 유언한 사람이 살아 있을 때는 아무 효력이 없으니까요.	For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18	그러므로 첫 번째 언약도 피 없이 들어선 것이 아닙니다.	Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
19	율법에 따라 모세가 온 백성에게 계명을 다 말해 주었습니다. 그러고는 송아지와 숫염소의 피를 받아서 물과 섞었습니다. 그것을 붉은 양털과 히솝(우슬초)을 써서 바로 그 두루마리와 온 백성에게 뿌렸습니다.	For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20	그러면서 말했습니다. “이것은 언약의 피입니다. 그 언약은 하나님이 여러분한테 명령하신 것입니다.”	Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21	모세는 그 천막과 하나님을 섬기는 데 쓰는 모든 물건들에도 같은 방식으로 피를 뿌렸습니다.	Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22	율법에 따르면 거의 모든 것이 깨끗해지는 것은 피로 됩니다. 피 쏟음이 없이는 용서가 이루어지지 않습니다.	And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23	단 한 번 제물로 바쳐지신 그리스도 그러므로 하늘에 있는 것들의 모형들은 이런 식으로 깨끗해져야만 하지만, 하늘에 있는 것들 자체는 이보다 더 나은 희생제물들로 깨끗해져야만 합니다.	It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24	그리스도께서는 손으로 만든 거룩한곳(성소)으로, 곧 참된 것들을 대신하여 본뜬 곳으로 들어가지 않으셨으니까요. 오히려 하늘 자체로 들어가셨습니다. 이제 우리를 위해 하나님 앞에 나타나시려고 말입니다.	For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25	자신을 여러 번 가져다 바치려고 들어가지도 않으셨습니다. 대제사장이 거룩한곳(성소)으로 해마다 다른 피를 가지고 들어가는 것하고는 다릅니다.	Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26	그렇지 않다면 세상의 기초가 놓일 때부터 그분이 여러 번 고난을 겪어야만 하셨을 테니까요. 그러나 이제 단 한 번, 세대들의 끝에 자신을 희생제물로 바침으로 죄를 없애려고 나타나셨습니다.	For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27	사람들에게 한 번 죽는 것은 정해진 일이고, 그 뒤에는 심판이 있습니다.	And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28	이와 같이 그리스도께서도 많은 사람들의 죄를 짊어지시려고 단 한 번 제물로 바쳐지셨습니다. 두 번째는 죄 없이 나타나셔서 자기를 간절히 기다리는 사람들에게 구원이 되실 것입니다.	So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
