1	여호와께서 모세에게 대답하셨다. “이제 너는, 내가 파라오에게 어떻게 하는지 보게 될 것이다. 내가 그를 강한 손으로 몰아붙여 이스라엘을 내보내게 할 것이다. 내가 그를 강한 손으로 몰아붙여 그의 땅에서 이스라엘을 내쫓게 할 것이다.”	Then the Lord said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
2	하나님이 이집트로 모세를 부르시다 하나님이 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 그에게 이르셨다. “나는 여호와다.	And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord:
3	아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게는 내가 엘샷다이(전능하신 하나님)로 나를 나타내 보여 주었다. 그렇지만 여호와라는 이름으로는 그들에게 나 자신을 알려 주지 않았다.	And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them.
4	또한 나의 언약을 그들과 세워서, 그들이 나그네로 살던 땅인 가나안 땅을 그들에게 주기로 했다.	And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
5	이제 또한 이집트 사람들이 노예로 부리고 있는 이스라엘 사람들의 신음 소리를 내가 직접 듣고는, 나의 언약을 기억했다.	And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
6	그러므로 이스라엘 사람들에게 이렇게 전해 주어라. ‘나는 여호와다. 너희를 이집트의 힘든 일에서 빠져나오게 하고, 너희를 노예살이하는 데서 빼내어 줄 것이다. 내 팔을 펴고 무거운 형벌을 내려 너희를 구해 낼 것이다.	Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
7	내가 너희를 나의 백성으로 삼고, 나는 너희의 하나님이 될 것이다. 그러면 너희가 알게 될 것이다, 내가 여호와 너희의 하나님이라는 것을! 내가 너희를 이집트의 힘든 일에서 빠져나오게 할 것이다.	And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
8	아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 주기로 내가 손 들고 굳게 약속한 땅으로 너희를 데려갈 것이다. 그 땅을 너희에게 주어 차지하게 할 것이다. 나는 여호와다.’”	And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the Lord.
9	모세는 이스라엘 사람들에게 그렇게 전해 주었다. 그러나 그들은 모세의 말을 듣지 않았다. 기가 꺾였고 일이 고되었기 때문이다.	And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
10	그러자 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
11	“가서 이집트 임금 파라오에게 말하거라. 그래서 이스라엘 사람들을 이집트 땅에서 내보내게 하거라!”	Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
12	이에 모세가 여호와 앞에서 아뢰었다. “보십시오, 이스라엘 사람들도 제 말을 듣지 않는데, 파라오가 어떻게 제 말을 듣겠습니까? 저는 말이 아주 서툰 사람입니다.”	And Moses spake before the Lord, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?
13	여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하여 명령하셨다. 이스라엘 사람들과 이집트 임금 파라오에게 가서, 이스라엘 사람들을 이집트 땅에서 이끌고 나오라고 하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
14	모세와 아론의 계보 모세와 아론의 아버지 쪽 집안 어른들은 이러하다. 이스라엘의 맏아들 르우벤의 아들은 하녹, 발루, 헤스론, 갈미이다. 이들은 르우벤 가문이다.	These be the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.
15	시므온의 아들은 여무엘, 야민, 오핫, 야긴, 소할, 사울이다. 사울은 가나안 여자의 아들이다. 이들이 시므온 가문이다.	And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.
16	레위의 아들 이름은 세대별로 이러하다. 곧 게르손, 그핫, 므라리이다. 레위는 137년을 살았다.	And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi were an hundred thirty and seven years.
17	게르손의 아들은 가문별로 립니와 시므이이다.	The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.
18	그핫의 아들은 아므람, 이스할, 헤브론, 웃시엘이다. 그핫은 133년을 살았다.	And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years.
19	므라리의 아들은 마흘리와 무시이다. 이들이 세대별로 레위 가문이다.	And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi according to their generations.
20	아므람은 고모 요게벳을 아내로 맞아들였고, 요게벳은 아므람에게 아론과 모세를 낳아 주었다. 아므람은 137년을 살았다.	And Amram took him Jochebed his father’s sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and thirty and seven years.
21	이스할의 아들은 고라흐, 네벡, 시그리이다.	And the sons of Izhar; Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.
22	웃시엘의 아들은 미사엘, 엘사반, 시드리이다.	And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri.
23	아론은 암미나답의 딸이자 나흐손의 누이인 엘리세바를 아내로 맞아들였다. 엘리세바는 나답, 아비후, 엘르아살, 이다말을 아론에게 낳아 주었다.	And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
24	고라흐의 아들은 앗실, 엘가나, 아비아삽이다. 이들은 고라흐 가문이다.	And the sons of Korah; Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korhites.
25	아론의 아들 엘르아살은 부디엘의 딸을 아내로 맞아들였다. 그는 엘르아살에게 비느하스를 낳아 주었다. 이들이 가문별 레위 집안의 어른들이다.	And Eleazar Aaron’s son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families.
26	바로 이 아론과 모세가 여호와께로부터, 이스라엘 사람들을 이집트 땅에서 군대 조직으로 나누어 이끌어 내라는 명령을 받은 사람들이다.	These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the Lord said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.
27	이집트 임금 파라오에게 가서 이집트에서 이스라엘 사람들을 데리고 나가게 해 달라고 말했던 사람도 바로 이 모세와 아론이었다.	These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron.
28	모세와 아론이 여호와의 명령대로 하다 이집트 땅에서 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하시던 그날에 있었던 일이다.	And it came to pass on the day when the Lord spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt,
29	여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. “나는 여호와다. 내가 너에게 말하는 것을 이집트 임금 파라오에게 모두 말해 주어라!”	That the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, I am the Lord: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.
30	그러자 모세는 여호와 앞에서 아뢰었다. “저는 말이 아주 서툰 사람인데, 파라오가 어떻게 제 말을 듣겠습니까?”	And Moses said before the Lord, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?
