1	에서의 계보 에서의 계보는 이러하다. 에서는 에돔이다.	Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
2	에서가 가나안의 딸들 가운데서 아내를 여럿 맞아들였다. 엘론의 딸인 히타이트 사람 아다와, 아나의 딸이자 시브온의 외손녀인 히위 사람 오홀리바마를 맞아들였다.	Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
3	이스마엘의 딸이자 느바욧의 누이인 바스맛도 맞아들였다.	And Bashemath Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebajoth.
4	아다는 에서에게 엘리바스를 낳아 주었고, 바스맛은 르우엘을 낳아 주었다.	And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;
5	오홀리바마는 여우스, 얄람, 고라흐를 낳아 주었다. 이들이 가나안 땅에서 태어난 에서의 아들들이다.	And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
6	에서는 여러 아내와 아들과 딸과 자기 집의 모든 사람을 데리고 길을 나섰다. 자신의 소유인 짐승과 모든 집짐승과 가나안 땅에서 모은 모든 재산도 챙겨 가지고 나섰다. 그러고는 다른 땅으로 갔다. 자신의 아우 야곱에게서 떨어져 있는 곳이었다.	And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.
7	형제의 재산이 너무 많아 함께 살 수 없었고, 그들이 나그네로 살던 땅이 좁아 짐승을 함께 먹일 수 없었기 때문이다.	For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.
8	그래서 에서는 세일산에서 살았다. 에서는 에돔이다.	Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
9	에돔의 조상 에서의 계보는 이러하다. 그는 세일산에서 살았다.	And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
10	에서 자손의 이름은 이러하다. 첫째는 엘리바스인데 에서의 아내 아다의 아들이다. 다음은 르우엘인데 에서의 아내 바스맛의 아들이다.	These are the names of Esau’s sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.
11	엘리바스의 아들은 데만, 오말, 스보, 가담, 그나스이다.	And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12	딤나는 에서의 아들 엘리바스의 다른 아내였는데, 엘리바스에게 아말렉을 낳아 주었다. 이들은 에서의 아내 아다의 자손이다.	And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau’s wife.
13	르우엘의 아들은 이러하다. 곧 나핫, 세라흐, 삼마, 밋사이다. 이들이 에서의 아내 바스맛의 자손이다.	And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.
14	시브온의 딸인 아나의 딸로 에서의 아내가 된 오홀리바마의 아들들은 이러하다. 오홀리바마는 에서에게 여우스, 얄람, 고라흐를 낳아 주었다.	And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
15	에서 자손의 족장들은 이러하다. 에서의 맏아들 엘리바스의 아들들은 데만 족장, 오말 족장, 스보 족장, 그나스 족장,	These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,
16	고라흐 족장, 가담 족장, 아말렉 족장이다. 이들은 에돔 땅에 살던 엘리바스에게서 난 족장들이었다. 이들은 아다의 자손이다.	Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.
17	에서의 아들 르우엘의 아들들은 이러하다. 나핫 족장, 세라흐 족장, 삼마 족장, 밋사 족장이다. 이들은 에돔 땅에 살던 르우엘에게서 난 족장들이었다. 이들은 에서의 아내 바스맛의 자손이다.	And these are the sons of Reuel Esau’s son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.
18	에서의 아내 오홀리바마의 아들들은 이러하다. 여우스 족장, 얄람 족장, 고라흐 족장이다. 이들은 에서의 아내이자 아나의 딸인 오홀리바마에게서 난 족장들이었다.	And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau’s wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.
19	이들은 에서의 자손이다. 이들은 또한 그들의 족장들이었다. 에서는 에돔이다. ()	These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.
20	세일의 자손 그 땅에 살던 세일의 자손 곧 호리 사람은 이러하다. 로단, 소발, 시브온, 아나,	These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
21	디손, 에셀, 디산이다. 이들은 에돔 땅에 살던 호리 사람들 곧 세일 자손의 족장들이었다.	And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
22	로단의 아들은 호리와 헤맘이었다. 로단의 누이는 딤나였다.	And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
23	소발의 아들은 이러하다. 곧 알완, 마나핫, 에발, 스보, 오남이다.	And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
24	시브온의 아들은 이러하다. 곧 아야와 아나이다. 아나는 광야에서 아버지 시브온의 나귀들을 돌보다가 온천을 발견한 사람이다.	And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
25	아나의 자녀는 이러하다. 곧 디손과 오홀리바마이다. 오홀리바마는 아나의 딸이다.	And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.
26	디손의 아들은 이러하다. 곧 헴단, 에스반, 이드란, 그란이다.	And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
27	에셀의 아들은 이러하다. 곧 빌한, 사아완, 아간이다.	The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.
28	디산의 아들은 이러하다. 곧 우스와 아란이다.	The children of Dishan are these; Uz, and Aran.
29	호리 사람들의 족장들은 이러하다. 로단 족장, 소발 족장, 시브온 족장, 아나 족장,	These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,
30	디손 족장, 에셀 족장, 디산 족장이다. 이들은 호리 사람들의 족장들이었다. 세일 땅에 있었던 족장들이었다. ()	Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.
31	에돔의 임금들 이스라엘 사람들을 임금이 다스리기 전에 에돔 땅을 다스리던 임금들은 이러하다.	And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
32	첫째로는 브올의 아들 벨라가 에돔을 다스렸는데, 그의 도시 이름은 딘하바였다.	And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33	그런데 벨라가 죽었다. 그러자 그를 뒤이어 임금이 된 사람은 세라흐의 아들 요밥이었다. 보스라 출신이었다.	And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
34	요밥도 죽었다. 그러자 그를 뒤이어 임금이 된 사람은 후삼이었다. 데만 사람들의 땅 출신이었다.	And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.
35	후삼도 죽었다. 그러자 그를 뒤이어 임금이 된 사람은 브닷의 아들 하닷이었다. 미디안을 모압 들판에서 쳐부순 사람이었다. 그의 도시 이름은 아윗이었다.	And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
36	하닷도 죽었다. 그러자 그를 뒤이어 임금이 된 사람은 사믈라였다. 마스레가 출신이었다.	And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
37	사믈라도 죽었다. 그러자 그를 뒤이어 임금이 된 사람은 사울이었다. 유프라테스강 가 르호봇 출신이었다.	And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
38	사울도 죽었다. 그러자 그를 뒤이어 임금이 된 사람은 악볼의 아들 바알하난이었다.	And Saul died, and Baal–hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
39	악볼의 아들 바알하난도 죽었다. 그러자 그를 뒤이어 임금이 된 사람은 하달이었다. 그의 도시 이름은 파우였다. 그의 아내 이름은 므헤다브엘이었다. 그는 마드렛의 딸이자 메사합의 외손녀였다.	And Baal–hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
40	에서에게서 난 족장들의 이름은 이러하다. 친족과 장소와 이름에 따라 나눈 것이다. 족장 딤나, 족장 알와, 족장 여뎃,	And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,
41	족장 오홀리바마, 족장 엘라, 족장 비논,	Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
42	족장 그나스, 족장 데만, 족장 밉살,	Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
43	족장 막디엘, 족장 이람이다. 이들은 거주지와 소유지에 따라 나눈 에돔의 족장들이다. 에돔의 조상은 에서이다.	Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.
