1	지혜를 찾는 사람은 복을 받는다 얘야, 네가 나의 말을 받고, 내 명령을 너의 안에 간직한다면,	My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2	지혜에 너의 귀를 기울여 주의 깊게 듣는다면, 깨우침에 너의 마음을 기울인다면,	So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3	네가 정말 깨달음을 부른다면, 깨우침에게 소리를 지른다면,	Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4	은을 찾듯 찾고, 숨겨 둔 보물을 찾듯 뒤진다면,	If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5	그러면 여호와 두려워하는 법을 깨닫고, 하나님 아는 법을 찾아낼 거야.	Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
6	여호와께서 지혜를 주시거든. 그분 입에서는 앎과 깨우침이 나오거든.	For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7	숨겨 두시는 거야, 올곧은 사람들을 위해서 성공을, 흠 없이 걷는 사람들을 위해서 방패를.	He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8	정의의 길을 보존하시고, 그분께 한결같은 사람들의 길을 지키시려는 거야.	He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9	그제야 너는 공의와 정의를 깨달을 거야, 올곧음과 모든 좋은 길도.	Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10	지혜가 너의 마음에 들고, 앎이 너를 기분 좋게 할 테니까.	When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11	신중함이 너를 지켜 줄 테니까. 깨우침이 너를 보살펴 줄 테니까.	Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12	너를 건져 내려는 거야, 나쁜 사람의 길에서, 거짓으로 막말하는 사람에게서.	To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13	그들은 올곧음의 길을 버리는 사람들, 어둠의 길을 걸으려는 사람들이지.	Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14	나쁜 짓 하는 것을 기뻐하는 사람들은 흥겨워하지, 나쁜 사람이 막 나가는 것을.	Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15	그들의 길은 구불구불하고, 그들은 길을 갈 때 어긋나가지.	Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16	너를 건져 내려는 거야, 낯선 여자에게서, 말을 번지르르하게 하는 다른 나라 여자에게서.	To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17	그는 젊을 때의 짝을 저버린 여자야. 자기 하나님과 한 언약을 잊었어.	Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18	그의 집은 죽음 쪽으로 가라앉아 있고, 그의 길은 죽은 영들 쪽으로 이어져 있어.	For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19	그에게 가는 사람은 그 누구도 돌아오지 못하고, 생명의 길에 이르지 못하는 거야.	None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20	그러니 너는 착한 사람들이 가는 길을 가야 하고, 의로운 사람들이 가는 길을 따라야 해.	That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21	올곧은 사람들이 땅에 살고, 흠 없는 사람들이 거기 살아남을 테니까.	For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22	악한 사람들은 땅에서 끊어지고, 배신하는 사람들은 거기에서 뽑히는 거야.	But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
