1	속이는 저울은 여호와께서 역겨워하시지만, 제대로 된 저울추는 그분 마음에 들지.	A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.
2	우쭐대는 마음이 생기면 부끄러움이 따라오지만, 겸손한 사람들에게는 지혜가 있어.	When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
3	올곧은 사람들은 흠 없이 살아가지만, 배신하는 사람들은 비뚤게 살다 망하지.	The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4	재산은 진노의 날에 아무 도움이 되지 않지만, 공의는 죽음에서 건져 주지.	Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
5	흠 없는 사람들은 공의로 자기 길을 곧게 펴지만, 악인들은 자기 악함 때문에 넘어지지.	The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6	올곧은 사람들은 공의로 자기를 건져 내지만, 배신하는 사람들은 자기 욕심에 사로잡히지.	The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
7	악인이 죽으면 그의 희망이 사라지고, 부자가 될 기대도 사라지지.	When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
8	의인은 어려움에서 풀려나고, 악인이 와서 그 자리를 채우지.	The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9	하나님을 멀리하는 사람은 입으로 이웃을 무너뜨리지만, 의인들은 앎이 있어 풀려나지.	An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
10	의인들이 잘되면 주민들이 기쁨에 겨워하고, 악인들이 망하면 즐거운 외침이 울려 퍼지지.	When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
11	의인들이 비는 복으로 도시가 솟아오르지만, 악인들의 입 때문에 허물어지지.	By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12	자기 이웃을 얕보는 사람은 얼빠진 사람이지만, 깨우친 사람은 입을 다물고 있지.	He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
13	헐뜯으며 다니는 사람은 비밀을 드러내지만, 마음이 참된 사람은 일을 덮어 두지.	A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
14	안내가 없으면 백성이 넘어지지만, 조언하는 사람이 많으면 이기지.	Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
15	낯선 사람의 보증을 서면 좋지 않은 일로 힘들어하게 되지만, 마주 손뼉 치기를 싫어하는 사람은 마음이 편하지.	He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
16	은혜를 베푸는 여자는 명예를 거머쥐지만, 난폭한 사람들은 재산만 거머쥘 뿐이지.	A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
17	한결같은 사람은 스스로에게 잘하지만, 잔인한 사람은 자기 몸을 괴롭히지.	The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
18	악인은 헛된 보상을 받지만, 공의를 뿌린 사람은 진짜 삯을 받지.	The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.
19	공의를 단단히 붙들면 삶에 이르지만, 나쁜 짓을 따라가는 사람은 죽음에 이르지.	As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.
20	마음이 뒤틀린 사람은 여호와께서 역겨워하시지만, 흠 없이 길 가는 사람들은 그분 마음에 들지.	They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
21	나쁜 사람은 벌을 피할 수 없지만, 의인들의 후손은 어려움에서 벗어나지.	Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
22	돼지 코에 걸린 금고리이지, 아름답지만 분별력이 없는 여자는.	As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
23	의인들이 바랄 것은 좋은 것뿐이지만, 악인들이 기다릴 것은 진노이지.	The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24	나누어 주면서도 더 얻는 사람이 있지만, 마땅히 줄 것을 아끼고도 더 모자라게 되는 사람도 있지.	There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
25	베푸는 사람은 넉넉하게 되고, 마실 물을 주는 사람은 마실 물을 얻지.	The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26	곡식을 내놓지 않는 사람은 백성이 저주하지만, 곡식을 내다 파는 사람의 머리에는 복이 있지.	He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
27	좋은 것을 얻으려는 사람은 은총을 구하지만, 나쁜 일을 쫓아가는 사람에게는 나쁜 일이 찾아오지.	He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
28	자기 재산을 믿는 사람은 넘어지지만, 의인은 푸른 잎사귀같이 돋아나지.	He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
29	자기 집안을 괴롭히는 사람은 바람을 물려받고, 미련한 사람은 마음이 지혜로운 사람의 종이 되지.	He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30	의인이 맺는 열매는 생명나무이고, 지혜로운 사람은 사람을 얻지.	The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
31	저것 봐, 의인도 땅에서 되갚음받네! 악인이나 죄짓는 사람이야 얼마나 더 그럴까!	Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
