1	우상들은 바람에 쓸려 가리라 (하나님) “의인이 죽어도 마음 쓰는 사람이 없구나. 한결같은 사람들이 숨을 거두어도 아랑곳하는 사람이 없구나. 재난이 닥치기 전에 의인이 숨을 거두었구나.	The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
2	평안히 들어가 자기 눕자리에서 쉴 것이다, 자신의 곧은길로 걷는 사람은!	He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
3	너희는 이리로 가까이 오너라, 마술사의 자식들아! 바람피우며 놀아나는 사람의 후손아!	But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.
4	누구를 너희가 놀리는 것이냐? 누구에게 입을 크게 벌리고 혀를 길게 빼는 것이냐? 너희는 범죄의 자식들이고 거짓의 후손이 아니냐?	Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
5	너희는 참나무 숲의 울창한 나무 아래라면 어디서든 사랑을 불태웠구나. 마른시내의 바위의 갈라진 틈새 아래에서 자녀들을 죽여서 제물로 바쳤구나.	Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks?
6	마른시내의 매끄러운 돌들 중에 너의 몫이 있구나. 그것들, 그것들이 너의 몫이다. 그것들에게도 네가 붓는제물(전제물)을 붓고 곡식제물(소제물)을 바쳤구나. 이것들 때문에 내가 뜻을 바꾸겠느냐?	Among the smooth stones of the stream is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
7	높이 솟은 산 위에는 네가 너의 눕자리를 두었구나. 또한 거기에 올라가서 희생제물을 바쳤구나.	Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
8	문과 문기둥 뒤에 네가 너의 기념물을 두었구나. 참으로 네가 나한테서 벗어나 벌거벗고 올라갔구나. 너의 눕자리를 넓게 했구나. 그들과 언약을 맺었구나. 네가 그들의 눕자리를 좋아했구나. 아랫도리를 바라보았구나.	Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself to another than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest it.
9	네가 기름을 바르고서 임금에게 갔구나. 향유도 많이 썼구나. 너는 사신들을 멀리까지 보냈다. 스올(죽은 사람들의 나라)에까지 내려보냈구나.	And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.
10	너의 길이 멀어서 네가 지쳤는데도 ‘지긋지긋해!’ 하고 말하지 않았다. 너의 아랫도리 힘이 살아났구나. 이런 까닭에 네가 약해지지 않았구나.	Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.
11	누가 무섭고 두렵길래, 네가 거짓말하는 것이냐? 나를 기억하지도 않고, 너의 마음에 두지도 않는 것이냐? 내가 침묵한 채 오래 있었다고, 나를 네가 두려워하지 않는 것이냐?	And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?
12	내가 직접 알려 주겠다, 네가 공의로운지, 네가 무엇을 했는지를. 그것들이 너한테 쓸모없을 것이다.	I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.
13	너 부르짖을 때, 네가 모아 둔 우상들이 너를 구해 내도록 해 보아라. 그것들은 모두 바람에 쓸려 가고, 입김에 날려 갈 것이다. 그러나 나에게로 피하는 사람은 땅을 나누어 받고, 나의 거룩한 산을 차지할 것이다.”	When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
14	악인에게는 평화가 없다 (예언자) 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “너희는 돋우어라, 돋우어라, 길을 닦아라! 걸려 넘어지게 하는 것을 들어내라, 나의 백성의 길에서!”	And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.
15	(예언자) 높으신 하나님, 들어 올려지신 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. 영원히 살아 계신 하나님이 말씀하셨습니다. 거룩하신 하나님이 그 하나님의 이름입니다. (하나님) “높고 거룩한 장소에 내가 산다. 그렇지만 뉘우치는 사람과 겸손한 영의 사람과 함께한다. 그래서 겸손한 사람들의 영을 되살리고, 뉘우치는 사람들의 마음을 되살려 주려 한다.	For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16	나는 영원히 다투지 않고, 영구히 노여워하지 않을 것이기 때문이다. 영이 내 앞에서 약해지고, 내가 만들어 준 숨결도 약해질 것이기 때문이다.	For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made.
17	부당한 이득을 취하는 이스라엘의 잘못 때문에 내가 노여워하여 그를 때렸다. 나 자신을 숨기고 노여워했다. 그런데도 그는 돌아서서 자기 마음에 내키는 길로 갔다.	For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
18	그의 길을 내가 보았으니 내가 그를 치료해 주겠다. 내가 그를 이끌어 주겠다. 그와 그를 두고 슬퍼하는 사람들에게 위로의 보상을 내려 주겠다.	I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
19	나는 입술의 열매를 창조한다. 평화, 평화가 있기를, 멀리 있는 사람에게든, 가까이 있는 사람에게든! ― 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다. ― 내가 그를 치료해 주겠다.	I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him.
20	그러나 악인들은 솟구치는 바닷물 같아서 가만 있지 못한다. 그 물은 바다 쓰레기와 진흙을 솟구쳐 낼 뿐이다.	But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21	평화는 없다, ― 나의 하나님이 말씀하셨습니다. ― 악인들에게는!”	There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
