1	에돔을 심판하실 것이다 (예언자) 다른 민족에 속한 여러분, 가까이 와서 듣도록 하세요! 다른 나라 백성 여러분, 주의 깊게 들으세요! 땅과 땅을 채운 것들이여, 듣도록 하세요. 세상과 거기서 나온 모든 것들이여!	Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it.
2	여호와의 노여움이 모든 민족 위에 쏟아질 것이니까요. 분노가 그들의 모든 군대 위에도 쏟아질 것이니까요. 여호와께서 그들을 완전히 없애 버리실 것입니다. 도살당하도록 넘겨주실 것입니다.	For the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.
3	찔려 죽은 사람들이 내던져지고, 그들의 시체에서 고약한 냄새가 날 것입니다. 산들이 그들의 피로 녹아내릴 것입니다.	Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
4	하늘의 모든 군대가 녹아내리고, 하늘이 두루마리처럼 말릴 것입니다. 그 모든 군대가 시들 것입니다. 포도나뭇잎이 시드는 것처럼, 무화과 열매가 시드는 것처럼 될 것입니다.	And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
5	(하나님) “하늘에서 나의 칼이 실컷 마셨기 때문이다. 보라, 에돔 위로 이 칼이 내려갈 것이다. 내가 완전히 없애 버릴 백성 위로 내려가서 심판하겠다.”	For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.
6	(예언자) 여호와의 칼에 피가 잔뜩 묻어 있고, 기름이 뚝뚝 떨어집니다. 어린 숫양들과 숫염소들의 피, 숫양들의 콩팥 기름입니다. 여호와를 위한 희생제물이 보스라에 있고, 엄청난 도살이 에돔 땅에 있을 것이기 때문입니다.	The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the Lord hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.
7	들소들이 그들과 함께, 수송아지들이 황소들과 함께 내려갈 것입니다. 그들의 땅이 피를 실컷 마실 것입니다. 그래서 그들의 흙이 기름으로 범벅이 될 것입니다.	And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
8	여호와께서 앙갚음하시는 날, 시온을 위해 다투어 되갚으시는 해이기 때문입니다.	For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.
9	에돔의 강들이 역청으로 바뀌고, 에돔의 흙이 유황으로 바뀔 것입니다. 에돔 땅이 불타는 역청이 될 것입니다.	And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
10	밤이든 낮이든 불이 꺼지지 않아 연기가 영원히 피어오를 것입니다. 그 땅이 대대로 쑥대밭이 될 것입니다. 그리로 지나가는 사람이 영영 없을 것입니다.	It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.
11	갈까마귀와 올빼미가 그 땅을 차지할 것입니다. 황갈색올빼미와 까마귀가 거기 머물 것입니다. 여호와께서 그 땅 위에 거칠어진 측량 끈과 비어 있는 추를 드리우실 것입니다.	But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.
12	에돔의 귀족들 가운데서는 거기에 왕국을 선포할 사람들이 없습니다. 에돔의 모든 고위 관리가 허깨비가 될 것입니다.	They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing.
13	에돔의 궁궐에는 가시구기자나무들이 돋아날 것입니다. 쐐기풀과 엉겅퀴가 그 요새들 안에 돋아날 것입니다. 에돔 땅이 자칼들이 사는 곳이 되고 수리부엉이들이 머무는 곳이 될 것입니다.	And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.
14	하이에나들이 자칼들과 만나고, 숫염소 귀신들이 서로 부를 것입니다. 거기서 올빼미 귀신이 쉴 것입니다. 그래서 에돔 땅이 그에게 쉴 곳이 될 것입니다.	The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.
15	거기서 부엉이가 둥지를 틀고 알을 낳아 까서 그 그늘로 모을 것입니다. 거기에 솔개들이 제 짝과 함께 모일 것입니다.	There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.
16	여러분은 여호와의 책에서 찾아 읽어 보세요. 이 동물들 가운데 하나도 빠진 것이 없고, 그 짝이 없는 것도 없습니다. 여호와의 입이 명령하셨고, 여호와의 영이 그것들을 모아들이셨기 때문입니다.	Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
17	여호와께서 그것들을 위하여 제비 뽑으셨습니다. 여호와의 손이 측량 끈으로 재어 그것들에게 나누어 주셨습니다. 그것들이 영원히 에돔 땅을 차지하여 대대로 거기 살 것입니다.	And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
