절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	도벳에서 한 예언 (예언자) 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “너는 가서, 토기장이에게서 항아리를 하나 사라. 백성 가운데 원로 몇 사람, 또 제사장 가운데 원로 몇 사람과 함께 가라.	Thus saith the Lord, Go and get a potter’s earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;
2	너는 벤힌놈 골짜기로 나가라. 하시드문 출입구에 있는 골짜기다. 거기서 외쳐라, 내가 너에게 하는 말을!	And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee,
3	너는 말해 주어라. (예언자) ‘여호와의 말씀을 들으십시오, 유다 임금님들! 예루살렘에 사는 여러분! 전능하신 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) 「보라, 내가 재난이 이곳에 닥치게 하겠다. 그 소식을 듣는 사람마다 귀가 얼얼해질 것이다.	And say, Hear ye the word of the Lord, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.
4	나의 백성이 나를 버리고 이곳을 낯설게 만들었다. 이 안에서 다른 신들에게 향을 피워 바쳤다. 그들이 알지 못하던 신들이다. 그들의 조상들과 유다 임금들도 알지 못했다. 그들은 또 이곳을 죄 없는 사람들의 피로 가득 채웠다.	Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
5	이 백성은 또 바알을 위해 높은곳(산당)들을 지었다. 자신들의 자녀들을 불살라 다태우는제물(번제물)로 바알에게 바치려 한 것이다. 그렇게 하라고 나는 명령한 적도 없고 말한 적도 없다. 그런 것이 내 마음에 떠오른 적도 없다.	They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:
6	이러므로, 보라, 때가 다가온다. ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 이곳을 사람들이 더는 도벳이나 벤힌놈 골짜기라 부르지 않을 것이다. 도살 골짜기라 부를 것이다.	Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.
7	내가 유다와 예루살렘의 계획을 이곳에서 망가뜨리겠다. 그래서 그들이 칼에 맞아 원수들 앞에서 쓰러지게 하겠다. 그들의 목숨을 노리는 사람들의 손을 빌려 그렇게 하겠다. 그들의 시체를 하늘의 새와 땅의 짐승에게 먹잇감으로 주겠다.	And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
8	내가 이 도시를 끔찍한 곳으로, 소리 내어 비웃을 데로 만들겠다. 그래서 그리로 지나가는 사람마다 소스라치게 놀랄 것이다. 모든 얻어맞은 곳들을 보고서 소리 내어 비웃을 것이다.	And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.
9	내가 그들이 아들들의 살과 딸들의 살을 먹게 하겠다. 그들은 또 서로 이웃의 살을 먹을 것이다. 그들의 목숨을 노리는 원수들이 몰아붙이는 바람에 그들에게 에워싸여 어려운 가운데서 그럴 것이다.」’	And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.
10	너는 너와 함께 간 사람들의 눈앞에서 항아리를 깨뜨려라.	Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,
11	그러고는 그들에게 말해 주어라. (예언자) ‘전능하신 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) 「이처럼 내가 이 백성과 이 도시를 깨뜨리겠다. 진흙그릇을 깨뜨리듯이 깨뜨리겠다. 사람이 더는 고쳐 쓸 수 없을 것이다. 도벳에서 사람들이 장례를 치르려고 하지만 죽은 사람을 묻을 곳이 없을 것이다.	And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter’s vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.
12	내가 이곳에 그렇게 하겠다. ― 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 이곳에 사는 사람들에게도 그렇게 하겠다. 그래서 이 도시를 도벳처럼 만들겠다.	Thus will I do unto this place, saith the Lord, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet:
13	예루살렘의 집들과 유다 임금들의 집들이 이곳 도벳처럼 더러운 집들이 될 것이다. 그 모든 집들의 옥상에서 사람들이 하늘의 모든 별에게 향을 피워 바치고 다른 신들에게 술을 부어 바쳤다.」’”	And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.
14	예레미야가 도벳에서 돌아왔다. 여호와께서 도벳으로 그를 보내어 거기서 예언하게 하셨던 것이다. 예레미야가 여호와의 집 뜰에 서서 모든 백성에게 말했다.	Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the Lord’s house; and said to all the people,
15	(예언자) “전능하신 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) ‘보라, 이 도시와 유다의 모든 도시에 내가 말한 온갖 재난이 닥치게 하겠다. 사람들이 목을 꼿꼿이 하여 나의 말을 듣지 않았기 때문이다.’”	Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.
