1	솔로몬이 여호와의 집을 위해 했던 온갖 일이 마무리되었다. 솔로몬은 자신의 아버지 다윗이 구별하여 드린 거룩한 것들을 가져왔다. 은과 금과 온갖 기구였다. 그것들을 하나님의 집에 있는 보물 창고에 두었다. ()	Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the Lord was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.
2	언약상자를 성전으로 모셔 올라오다 그때 솔로몬은 이스라엘의 원로들을 불러 모았다. 모든 지파의 우두머리들로서 이스라엘 사람들의 집안 지도자들이었다. 이들을 예루살렘으로 불러 모았다. 여호와의 언약상자를 다윗의 도시 곧 시온에서 모시고 올라오려는 것이었다.	Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.
3	모든 이스라엘 사람들이 명절에 임금에게로 모여들었다. 이는 일곱째 달이었다.	Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.
4	이스라엘의 원로들이 모두 왔다. 그러자 레위 사람들이 상자(궤)를 들었다.	And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.
5	상자(궤)와 만남의 천막과 천막 안에 있던 거룩한 기구들을 들고 올라갔다. 그것들을 레위 사람 제사장들이 들고 올라갔다.	And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.
6	솔로몬 임금과 그에게 모인 이스라엘 온 무리는 상자(궤) 앞에 있었다. 그들이 양과 소를 제물로 바쳤는데, 제물이 너무 많아 셀 수도 없고 헤아릴 수도 없었다.	Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
7	제사장들이 여호와의 언약상자를 제자리로, 그 집의 안쪽 방인 거룩거룩한곳(지성소)으로 모셔 왔다. 크룹들의 날개 아래로 모셔 온 것이다.	And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:
8	크룹들은 상자(궤)가 있는 자리 위에서 날개를 펴고 있었다. 그렇게 해서 크룹들은 상자(궤)와 거기에 딸린 막대기들을 위에서 덮고 있었다.	For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
9	그 막대기들은 길었다. 막대기 머리 부분은 안쪽 방 앞에 있는 상자(궤) 앞에서는 보이지만 밖에서는 보이지 않았다. 그것이 오늘까지 거기에 있다.	And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
10	상자(궤) 안에는 두 돌판 말고는 아무것도 없었다. 모세가 호렙에서 주었던 돌판들이었다. 호렙은 이스라엘 사람들이 이집트에서 나올 때 여호와께서 그들과 언약을 맺었던 곳이었다.	There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
11	성전에 여호와의 영광이 가득 차다 제사장들이 그 거룩한곳(성소)에서 나올 때였다. 거기에 있었던 모든 제사장들은 맡은 일의 구분 없이 스스로를 거룩하게 했다.	And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:
12	노래하는 사람들인 레위 사람들은 아삽, 헤만, 여두둔, 그들의 아들들과 형제들이었다. 그들은 모두 고급 리넨으로 만든 옷을 입고 있었다. 심벌즈, 하프, 기타를 가지고 제단 동쪽에 서 있었다. 그들과 함께 있던 제사장들은 120명이나 되었다. 그들은 트럼펫을 불고 있었다.	Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)
13	트럼펫 부는 사람들과 노래하는 사람들이 하나가 되어 여호와께 찬양하고 감사하는 소리를 한목소리로 들려드렸다. 트럼펫과 심벌즈와 다른 악기들로 노랫소리를 높이며 여호와께 찬양드렸다. “여호와는 좋은 분이십니다! 영원합니다, 여호와의 한결같은 사랑은!” 그러자 그 집, 곧 여호와의 집이 구름으로 가득 찼다!	It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;
14	제사장들은 구름 때문에 서서 섬길 수가 없었다. 여호와의 영광이 하나님의 집에 가득 차 있었기 때문이다.	So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
