절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	예후 예견자가 여호사밧을 꾸짖다 유다 임금 여호사밧은 아무 탈 없이 예루살렘에 있는 자기 집으로 돌아왔다.	And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.
2	하나니의 아들 예후 예견자가 그를 맞으러 나갔다. 그는 여호사밧 임금에게 말했다. “불의한 사람을 돕고 여호와를 미워하는 사람들을 사랑하시다니요? 이렇게 하셨으니 여호와께로부터 임금님께 노여움이 닥칠 겁니다.	And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord.
3	그렇지만 임금님한테서 좋은 일들도 보이는군요. 임금님은 아세라 말뚝을 이 땅에서 없애 버리셨지요. 마음을 굳게 다잡고 하나님을 찾으셨지요.”	Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.
4	여호사밧이 재판관을 세우다 여호사밧은 예루살렘에서 지냈다. 그러더니 다시 백성들 사이로 나가 브엘세바부터 에브라임 산지까지 갔다. 그는 그들을 여호와 그들의 조상들의 하나님께로 돌아오게 했다.	And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from Beer–sheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the Lord God of their fathers.
5	그러고는 그 땅 유다의 모든 튼튼한 도시에 빠짐없이 재판관을 세웠다.	And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city,
6	그 재판관들에게 말했다. “여러분이 무슨 일을 하는지 보세요. 여러분은 사람을 위해 재판하시면 안 되고, 여호와를 위해 하셔야 합니다. 재판하는 일에 그분이 여러분과 함께하실 겁니다.	And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgment.
7	이제 여호와를 두려워하는 마음이 여러분 가운데 있기를 바랍니다. 조심해서 일하세요. 불의한 일이나 얼굴 봐서 편드는 일이나 뇌물 받는 일은 여호와 우리 하나님께는 있을 수 없는 일이기 때문입니다.”	Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
8	또한 예루살렘에서도 여호사밧은 레위 사람들과 제사장들과 이스라엘 집안의 우두머리들 가운데서 사람을 세웠다. 여호와께 관련된 재판이나 서로 다툼이 생긴 일을 맡기려는 것이었다. 그들은 예루살렘에 살았다.	Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the Lord, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.
9	그는 그들에게 명령했다. “이렇게 일하셔야 합니다. 여호와를 두려워하면서 믿음직하게, 온전한 마음으로요.	And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the Lord, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
10	여러 도시에 살고 있는 여러분의 형제들에게서 다툼이 생긴 온갖 일이 여러분에게로 올라오겠지요. 피 쏟은 일, 율법이나 명령, 규정이나 법령들에 관한 일이요. 그러면 여러분은 그들에게 단단히 일러 주어서 그들이 여호와께 벌받지 않게 해야 합니다. 노여움이 여러분과 여러분의 형제들 위에 내리지 않도록 해야 합니다. 이렇게 일하시면 벌받지 않으실 겁니다.	And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the Lord, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.
11	보세요, 아마랴 대제사장이 여러분에게 있습니다. 그는 여호와에 관한 일을 모두 맡고 있습니다. 이스마엘의 아들 스바댜는 유다 집안의 우두머리로 임금에 관한 일을 모두 맡고 있습니다. 레위 사람들은 행정관들로서 여러분 앞에 있습니다. 마음 굳게 먹고 일하십시오. 여호와는 옳은 사람과 함께하십니다.”	And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the Lord; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king’s matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and the Lord shall be with the good.
