1	므낫세 지파가 나누어 받은 땅 므낫세 지파가 제비 뽑아 나누어 받은 땅은 이러하다. 므낫세는 요셉의 맏아들이다. 마길은 므낫세의 맏아들이자 길르앗의 조상인데, 전쟁에 유능한 사람이었다. 그래서 그에게는 길르앗과 바산이 돌아갔다.	There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of Joseph; to wit, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.
2	나머지 므낫세 사람들로는 가문을 따라 아비에셀 사람들, 헬렉 사람들, 아스리엘 사람들, 세겜 사람들, 헤벨 사람들, 스미다 사람들이 있었다. 가문을 따라서 보면 요셉의 아들인 므낫세의 남자 자손이 이러하다.	There was also a lot for the rest of the children of Manasseh by their families; for the children of Abiezer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida: these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph by their families.
3	헤벨의 아들이자 길르앗의 손자이자 마길의 증손자이자 므낫세의 고손자인 슬로브핫에게는 아들이 없고 딸만 있었다. 그의 딸들은 이름이 마흘라, 노아, 호글라, 밀가, 디르사였다.	But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
4	그들이 엘르아살 제사장과 눈의 아들 여호수아와 지도자들 앞으로 나아와서 말했다. “여호와께서는 모세에게 명령하여, 우리 집안 남자들과 마찬가지로 우리에게도 땅을 나누어 주라고 하셨습니다.” 그리하여 여호와의 명령에 따라서 그들도 아버지 집안의 남자들과 마찬가지로 땅을 나누어 받았다.	And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the Lord he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.
5	므낫세가 나누어 받은 지역으로는 요르단강 건너편에 있는 길르앗과 바산 말고도 열 군데가 더 있었다.	And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, beside the land of Gilead and Bashan, which were on the other side Jordan;
6	므낫세 지파의 딸들이 아들들과 마찬가지로 땅을 나누어 받았기 때문이다. 길르앗 땅은 나머지 므낫세 사람들에게 돌아갔다.	Because the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons: and the rest of Manasseh’s sons had the land of Gilead.
7	므낫세의 땅의 경계는 아셀에서부터 세겜 맞은편에 있는 믹므닷에 이른다. 그러고는 남쪽으로 경계가 돌아서 엔답부아흐에 사는 사람들에게로 갔다.	And the coast of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethah, that lieth before Shechem; and the border went along on the right hand unto the inhabitants of En–tappuah.
8	답부아흐 땅은 므낫세에게 돌아갔지만, 답부아흐는 므낫세 경계에 있어서 에브라임 사람들에게 돌아갔다.	Now Manasseh had the land of Tappuah: but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim;
9	그 경계가 가나 마른시내로 내려간다. 그 마른시내 남쪽에 도시들이 있었다. 이 도시들은 므낫세의 도시들 가운데 있지만 에브라임에게 돌아갔다. 므낫세의 경계는 그 마른시내 북쪽에서 시작하여, 그 끝이 지중해에 이른다.	And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea:
10	남쪽에는 에브라임이 북쪽에는 므낫세가 있는데, 지중해가 그 경계이다. 므낫세는 북쪽으로 아셀과, 동쪽으로 잇사갈과 마주친다.	Southward it was Ephraim’s, and northward it was Manasseh’s, and the sea is his border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east.
11	잇사갈과 아셀에도 므낫세에게 돌아간 곳이 있었다. 벳스안과 그에 딸린 여러 마을, 이블르암과 그에 딸린 여러 마을이 그런 곳이다. 도르와 그에 딸린 여러 마을 사람들, 엔돌과 그에 딸린 여러 마을 사람들이 그러했다. 다아낙과 그에 딸린 여러 마을 사람들, 므깃도와 그에 딸린 여러 마을 사람들, 세 언덕도 그러했다.	And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Beth–shean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, even three countries.
12	이 여러 도시 사람들은 므낫세 사람들이 몰아내지 못했다. 그리하여 가나안 사람들이 마음을 단단히 먹고 이 땅에서 계속 살았다.	Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
13	그러다가 이스라엘 사람들에게 힘이 생기자, 가나안 사람들을 부려 먹었다. 그러나 그들을 완전히 몰아내지는 않았다.	Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them out.
14	요셉 사람들에게 숲을 농토로 일구라고 권하다 요셉 사람들이 여호수아에게 불평했다. “우리는 사람이 많습니다. 여호와께서 우리에게 지금까지 복을 주셨거든요. 그런데 어르신은 우리에게 왜 제비를 하나만 뽑아 땅을 한 몫만 나누어 받게 하십니까?”	And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the Lord hath blessed me hitherto?
15	여호수아가 그들에게 대답했다. “여러분이 사람이 많다면, 숲으로 올라가서 거기를 여러분의 농토로 일구십시오. 숲은 브리스 사람들과 라바 사람들의 땅에 있습니다. 에브라임 산지가 여러분에게 너무 비좁다면요.”	And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
16	요셉 사람들이 말했다. “그 산지는 우리에게 넉넉하지 않습니다. 게다가 골짜기 지역에 사는 모든 가나안 사람에게는 쇠 전투수레가 있습니다. 벳스안과 그에 딸린 여러 마을, 또 이스르엘 골짜기에 사는 사람들에게는요.”	And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are of Beth–shean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel.
17	여호수아가 요셉 집안 곧 에브라임과 므낫세 지파에게 말했다. “여러분은 사람이 많고 힘도 셉니다. 제비 뽑아 나누어 받을 땅도 한 몫만은 아닐 것입니다.	And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only:
18	그 산지를 여러분이 차지할 것입니다. 숲도 차지할 것이므로, 그 숲을 농토로 일구십시오. 그 끝부분까지 여러분이 차지할 것입니다. 가나안 사람들에게 쇠 전투수레가 있어서 강하다고 해도, 여러분이 그들을 몰아낼 것입니다.”	But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.
