절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	외국 여자와 그들에게서 태어난 아이들을 내쫓다 에스라가 기도하며 잘못을 털어놓고 있었다. 하나님의 집 앞에서 울면서 엎드려 있었다. 그때 이스라엘 사람 가운데 남자, 여자, 아이들의 수많은 무리가 그에게 몰려들었다. 백성이 많이 울었다.	Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.
2	엘람 사람들 가운데 여히엘의 아들 스가냐가 에스라에게 말했다. “우리가 우리 하나님께 신의를 저버렸습니다. 우리가 이 땅 백성 가운데 있는 외국 여자들을 데려와 살았습니다. 그러나 이제 이 일을 보니 이스라엘에 희망이 있습니다.	And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.
3	이제 우리가 우리 하나님과 언약을 하고 모든 여자들과 그들에게서 태어난 아이들을 쫓아내면 됩니다. 주님의 뜻과 우리 하나님의 명령 앞에 떠는 사람들의 뜻을 따르면 됩니다. 율법대로 행동이 이루어져야 합니다.	Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.
4	일어나십시오. 이 일은 제사장님께 달려 있습니다. 우리는 제사장님과 함께할 것입니다. 힘을 내어 일하십시오.”	Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.
5	에스라가 일어났다. 그는 지도층 제사장들, 레위 사람들, 모든 이스라엘 사람들에게 이 말대로 하겠다고 맹세하라고 했다. 그러자 그들이 맹세했다.	Then arose Ezra, and made the chief priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they should do according to this word. And they sware.
6	에스라는 일어나 하나님의 집 앞을 떠나 엘리아십의 아들 여호하난의 방으로 갔다. 그곳에 가서는 빵을 먹지도 않고 물을 마시지도 않았다. 사로잡혀 갔던 사람들의 배반을 두고 슬퍼했던 것이다.	Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.
7	유다와 예루살렘에 명령이 내렸다. 사로잡혀 갔던 사람들의 모든 자손은 예루살렘으로 모이라는 것이었다.	And they made proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem unto all the children of the captivity, that they should gather themselves together unto Jerusalem;
8	지도자들과 원로들의 뜻에 따라 3일 안에 오지 않는 사람은 누구든 모든 재산을 빼앗길 것이라고 했다. 또한 그런 사람은 사로잡혀 갔던 사람들의 모임에서 떨어져 나가게 될 것이라고 했다.	And that whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.
9	유다와 베냐민의 모든 사람이 3일 안에 예루살렘으로 모였다. 그날은 아홉째 달 스무째 날이었다. 모든 백성이 하나님의 집 광장에 앉아 있었다. 그들은 이 일도 있는 데다 비도 많이 내려서 덜덜 떨고 있었다.	Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.
10	에스라 제사장이 일어나서 그들에게 말했다. “여러분이 신의를 저버리고 외국 여자들을 데려와 살았습니다. 그렇게 해서 이스라엘 사람들의 죄에 무게를 더했습니다.	And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
11	이제 여호와 여러분 조상들의 하나님께 털어놓고 그분 마음에 드는 일을 하십시오. 이 땅의 백성에게서, 외국 여자들에게서 떨어져 나오십시오.”	Now therefore make confession unto the Lord God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.
12	모인 무리가 모두 큰 소리로 대답했다. “우리는 당신의 말씀대로 그렇게 하겠습니다.	Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.
13	그러나 백성이 많기도 하고 지금은 비가 많이 내리고 있어서 바깥에 서 있기가 어렵습니다. 우리가 이 일로 죄를 많이 지었으니 하루 이틀에 될 일도 아닙니다.	But the people are many, and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.
14	우리 지도자들이 온 무리를 대신해 서게 하십시오. 외국 여자를 데려와 우리 여러 도시에 살고 있는 사람 모두가 때에 맞춰 와야 합니다. 도시마다 있는 원로들과 재판관들도 그들과 함께 와야 합니다. 그래서 이 일로 불붙은 우리 하나님의 분노가 우리에게서 떠나가게 해 주십시오.”	Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.
15	그러나 아사헬의 아들 요나단과 디과의 아들 야흐스야는 여기에 반대했다. 므술람과 레위 사람 삽브대도 그들을 도왔다.	Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahaziah the son of Tikvah were employed about this matter: and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite helped them.
16	그렇지만 사로잡혀 갔던 사람들의 자손은 찬성하며 따랐다. 에스라 제사장과 그 아버지 쪽 집안의 우두머리인 사람들이 따로 세워졌다. 그들 모두의 이름이 불렸다. 그들은 열째 달 첫째 날에 그 일을 살펴보려고 자리 잡고 앉았다.	And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.
17	첫째 달 첫째 날에 이르러서야 외국 여자를 데려와 살고 있는 사람들에 관한 일이 마무리되었다.	And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the first day of the first month.
18	외국 여자를 아내로 맞아들인 사람들 제사장들 가운데서 외국 여자를 데리고 사는 것으로 드러난 사람들이 있었다. 여호사닥의 아들 예수아와 그의 형제들의 자손 가운데서는 마아세야, 엘리에셀, 야립, 그달랴가 있었다.	And among the sons of the priests there were found that had taken strange wives: namely, of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren; Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.
19	그들은 아내를 내보내기로 약속했다. 그들의 잘못에 대한 잘못없애는제물(속건제물)은 숫양이었다.	And they gave their hands that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their trespass.
20	임멜 사람들 가운데서는 하나니와 스바댜가 있었다.	And of the sons of Immer; Hanani, and Zebadiah.
21	하림 사람들 가운데서는 마아세야, 엘리야, 스마야, 여히엘, 웃시야가 있었다.	And of the sons of Harim; Maaseiah, and Elijah, and Shemaiah, and Jehiel, and Uzziah.
22	바스훌 사람들 가운데서는 엘료에내, 마아세야, 이스마엘, 느다넬, 요사밧과 엘르아사가 있었다.	And of the sons of Pashur; Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Jozabad, and Elasah.
23	레위 사람들 가운데서는 요사밧, 시므이, 글리다로도 불리는 겔라야, 브다히야, 유다, 엘리에셀이 있었다.	Also of the Levites; Jozabad, and Shimei, and Kelaiah, (the same is Kelita,) Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.
24	노래하는 사람들 가운데서는 엘리아십이 있었고, 문지기들 가운데서는 살룸과 델렘과 우리가 있었다.	Of the singers also; Eliashib: and of the porters; Shallum, and Telem, and Uri.
25	이스라엘 사람들 가운데서는 다음과 같은 사람들이 있었다. 바로스 사람들 가운데서는 라먀, 잇시야, 말기야, 미야민, 엘르아살, 말기야, 브나야가 있었다.	Moreover of Israel: of the sons of Parosh; Ramiah, and Jeziah, and Malchiah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah.
26	엘람 사람들 가운데서는 맛다냐, 스가랴, 여히엘, 압디, 여레못, 엘리야가 있었다.	And of the sons of Elam; Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, and Abdi, and Jeremoth, and Eliah.
27	삿두 사람들 가운데서는 엘료에내, 엘리아십, 맛다냐, 여레못, 사밧, 아시사가 있었다.	And of the sons of Zattu; Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Jeremoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
28	베배 사람들 가운데서는 여호하난, 하나냐, 삽배, 아들래가 있었다.	Of the sons also of Bebai; Jehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, and Athlai.
29	바니 사람들 가운데서는 므술람, 말룩, 아다야, 야숩, 스알, 라못이 있었다.	And of the sons of Bani; Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Jashub, and Sheal, and Ramoth.
30	바핫모압 사람들 가운데서는 아드나, 글랄, 브나야, 마아세야, 맛다냐, 브살렐, 빈누이, 므낫세가 있었다.	And of the sons of Pahath–moab; Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
31	하림 사람들 가운데서는 엘리에셀, 잇시야, 말기야, 스마야, 시므온이 있었다.	And of the sons of Harim; Eliezer, Ishijah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,
32	베냐민, 말룩, 스마랴도 있었다.	Benjamin, Malluch, and Shemariah.
33	하숨 사람들 가운데서는 맛드내, 맛닷다, 사밧, 엘리벨렛, 여레매, 므낫세, 시므이가 있었다.	Of the sons of Hashum; Mattenai, Mattathah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Jeremai, Manasseh, and Shimei.
34	바니 사람들 가운데서는 마아대, 아므람, 우엘이 있었다.	Of the sons of Bani; Maadai, Amram, and Uel,
35	브나야, 베댜, 글루후도 있었다.	Benaiah, Bedeiah, Chelluh,
36	와냐, 므레못, 엘리아십이 있었다.	Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
37	맛다냐, 맛드내, 야아수도 있었다.	Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Jaasau,
38	또 바니, 빈누이, 시므이가 있었다.	And Bani, and Binnui, Shimei,
39	또 셀레먀, 나단, 아다야가 있었다.	And Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,
40	막낫배, 사새, 사래도 있었다.	Machnadebai, Shashai, Sharai,
41	아사렐, 셀레먀, 스마랴도 있었다.	Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,
42	살룸, 아마랴, 요셉도 있었다.	Shallum, Amariah, and Joseph.
43	느보 사람들 가운데서는 여이엘, 맛디댜, 사밧, 스비나, 얏대와 요엘, 브나야가 있었다.	Of the sons of Nebo; Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jadau, and Joel, Benaiah.
44	이들은 모두 외국 여자를 아내로 맞아들인 사람들이었다. 그 여자들 가운데 자녀를 낳은 사람들도 있었다.	All these had taken strange wives: and some of them had wives by whom they had children.
