절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	메뚜기 떼 환상 (예언자) 나에게 주 여호와께서 이런 것을 보여 주셨습니다. 아, 주님이 메뚜기 떼를 만드시는 것이 아닙니까! 늦은 풀이 돋아나기 시작한 때였습니다. 아, 임금을 위해 풀을 베고 나서 돋아난 풀입니다!	Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king’s mowings.
2	메뚜기 떼가 땅의 푸성귀를 다 먹어 치웠을 때 내가 말씀드렸습니다. “주 여호와여, 제발 용서해 주십시오! 야곱이 어떻게 살아남겠습니까? 그는 너무 보잘것없습니다.”	And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord God, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
3	여호와께서 이 재난을 내리실 뜻을 거두어들이셨습니다. (하나님) “이런 일은 일어나지 않을 것이다.” (예언자) 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다.	The Lord repented for this: It shall not be, saith the Lord.
4	불 환상 (예언자) 나에게 주 여호와께서 이런 것을 보여 주셨습니다. 아, 불로써 다투라고 주 여호와께서 외치시는 것이 아닙니까! 그러자 불이 크고 깊은 물을 집어삼켰습니다. 토지도 삼켰습니다.	Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord God called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.
5	내가 말씀드렸습니다. “주 여호와여, 제발 멈춰 주십시오! 야곱이 어떻게 살아남겠습니까? 그는 너무 보잘것없습니다.”	Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
6	여호와께서 이 재난을 내리실 뜻을 거두어들이셨습니다. (하나님) “이런 일 또한 일어나지 않을 것이다.” (예언자) 주 여호와께서 말씀하셨습니다.	The Lord repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord God.
7	수직추 환상 (예언자) 나에게 여호와께서 이런 것을 보여 주셨습니다. 아, 주님이 수직추를 드리우고 쌓은 성벽 곁에 서 계시는 것이 아닙니까! 손에는 수직추를 잡고 계셨습니다.	Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.
8	여호와께서 내게 물으셨습니다. (하나님) “네가 무엇을 보고 있는 것이냐, 아모스야?” (예언자) 내가 대답했습니다. “수직추입니다.” 주님이 말씀하셨습니다. (하나님) “보라, 내가 수직추를 나의 백성 이스라엘 가운데로 드리울 것이다. 내가 더는 그들을 봐주지 않겠다.	And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
9	이삭의 높은곳(산당)들이 황폐해지고, 이스라엘의 거룩한곳(성소)들이 쑥대밭이 될 것이다. 내가 일어나 여로보암 집안에 맞설 것이다. 칼로 칠 것이다.”	And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
10	아마샤와 아모스가 만나다 베델의 제사장 아마샤가 이스라엘 임금 여로보암에게 사람을 보내어 말했다. “아모스가 이스라엘 집안 한가운데서 임금님에게 맞서 반역을 꾀하고 있습니다. 이 땅의 백성이 그의 모든 말을 참을 수가 없습니다.	Then Amaziah the priest of Beth–el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
11	아모스가 이렇게 말하기 때문입니다. ‘여로보암은 칼에 죽을 것이다. 이스라엘은 반드시 사로잡혀 자기 땅에서 떠나게 될 것이다.’”	For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.
12	아마샤가 아모스에게 말했다. “예견자님, 가시오. 그대는 달아나시오, 유다 땅으로. 거기서 빵을 먹고 거기서 예언하시오.	Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
13	베델에서는 절대로 더 이상 예언하지 마시오. 임금님의 거룩한곳(성소)이 여기 있고, 왕국의 집이 여기 있으니까요.”	But prophesy not again any more at Beth–el: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.
14	아모스가 대답하여 아마샤에게 말했다. “나는 예언자가 아니고, 나는 예언자 무리에 속하는 사람도 아니오. 나는 짐승을 먹이는 사람이고 돌무화과나무를 가꾸는 사람이오.	Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:
15	여호와께서 나를 양 떼 뒤에서 빼내셨소. 그러고는 나에게 이렇게 말씀하셨소. ‘가서 나의 백성 이스라엘에게 예언해라!’	And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
16	그러니 이제 여호와의 말씀을 들으시오! 제사장께서는 이렇게 말씀하셨소. ‘이스라엘에 좋지 않게 예언하지 마시오! 이삭 집안에 좋지 않게 침 튀기며 예언하지 마시오!’	Now therefore hear thou the word of the Lord: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.
17	이러므로 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨소. ‘너의 아내는 도시에서 놀아날 것이고, 너의 아들들과 너의 딸들은 칼에 쓰러질 것이다. 너의 땅은 측량 밧줄로 재어 나누어질 것이고, 너는 더러운 땅에서 죽을 것이다. 이스라엘은 사로잡혀 자기 땅에서 떠나게 될 것이다.’”	Therefore thus saith the Lord; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
