1	잃어버린 짐승이나 옷은 돌려주십시오 “형제자매의 황소나 양이 길 잃은 것을 보고도 못 본 체하지 마십시오. 그 짐승을 반드시 형제자매에게 돌려보내 주도록 하십시오.	Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
2	형제자매가 그대와 가까운 곳에 살지 않거나 그가 누구인지 그대가 알지 못할 수 있습니다. 그때는 그 짐승을 그대의 집 가운데로 들여서 그대 곁에 두었다가 형제자매가 찾으면 그에게 돌려보내 주도록 하십시오.	And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
3	형제자매의 나귀도 그렇게 하고, 형제자매의 옷도 그렇게 하도록 하십시오. 형제자매가 무엇을 잃어버렸든지 그렇게 하도록 하십시오. 그대가 보고도 못 본 체해서는 안 됩니다.	In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
4	형제자매의 나귀나 황소가 길에 쓰러져 있는 것을 보고도 못 본 체하지 마십시오. 반드시 일으켜 세워 주도록 하십시오.”	Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
5	이성의 옷을 입지 마십시오 “남자의 옷을 여자에게 걸치게 하지 말고, 남자는 여자의 옷을 입지 마십시오. 이렇게 하는 사람은 모두 여호와 그대의 하나님께 역겨운 사람이니까요.”	The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
6	어미 새까지 잡아가지는 마십시오 “길을 가다가 그대 앞의 나무나 땅에 새 보금자리가 있는 것을 보았다고 합시다. 거기에 새끼나 알이 있고, 어미가 새끼나 알을 품고 있다고 합시다. 그러면 어미를 새끼와 함께 잡아가지 마십시오.	If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:
7	어미는 반드시 놓아주어야 하지만, 새끼는 잡아가도 됩니다. 그러면 그대가 잘되고 오래 살 것입니다.”	But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
8	집 지을 때는 난간을 만드십시오 “집을 새로 지을 때는 옥상에 난간을 만들도록 하십시오. 그러면 사람이 거기에서 떨어지더라도, 그 사람이 피를 쏟고 죽은 책임을 그대의 집에 돌리지는 않을 것입니다.”	When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
9	두 가지를 섞지 마세요 “포도밭에 두 가지 씨앗을 뿌리지 마십시오. 그대가 뿌린 씨의 알찬 열매와 그 포도밭에서 난 것을 거룩한 것으로 구별해서 다루어야 하는 일이 없도록요.	Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
10	황소와 나귀에 같은 겨리를 지워 밭을 갈지 마십시오.	Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11	털과 리넨을 섞어 만든 옷을 입지 마십시오.”	Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.
12	겉옷에 술을 다십시오 “그대가 입을 겉옷의 네 끝단에 술을 만들어 달도록 하십시오.”	Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
13	아내가 처녀가 아니라고 주장한다면 “한 남자가 한 여자를 아내로 맞이하여 그에게 들어가고 나서는 그를 미워한다고 합시다.	If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
14	그래서 염치없는 짓을 했다고 아내에 대해 떠들어 대면서 아내의 명예를 더럽혔다고 합시다. 곧 ‘이 여자를 내가 아내로 맞이하여 가까이했는데, 처녀라는 표를 찾지 못했습니다.’ 하고 말한다고 합시다.	And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:
15	그럴 때 그 여자의 아버지와 어머니는 딸이 처녀라는 표를 가지고 성문으로 가서 그 도시의 원로들에게 내놓도록 하십시오.	Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:
16	그리고 그 여자의 아버지는 원로들에게 이렇게 말하도록 하십시오. ‘내 딸을 이 남자에게 주어 아내로 맞아들이게 했는데, 그가 내 딸을 미워합니다.	And the damsel’s father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;
17	그래서, 보십시오, 내 딸이 염치없는 짓을 했다고 떠들어 대면서 「따님이 처녀라는 표를 찾지 못했습니다.」라고 말합니다. 그렇지만 내 딸이 처녀라는 표가 여기 있습니다.’ 그러고는 그 도시의 원로들 앞에 잠옷을 펼쳐 보이도록 하십시오.	And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18	그러면 그 도시의 원로들이 그 남자를 데려다가 벌주도록 하십시오.	And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
19	또 그에게 벌금을 매겨 100개의 은을 그 젊은 여자의 아버지에게 주도록 하십시오. 그가 이스라엘 처녀의 명예를 더럽혔기 때문입니다. 이제 그에게 그 여자는 아내로 남게 됩니다. 그는 평생 그 여자를 내보낼 수 없습니다.	And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
20	그러나 남자의 말이 사실로 드러났다고 합시다. 아무도 그 젊은 여자에게서 처녀라는 표를 찾아내지 못했다고 합시다.	But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21	그러면 그 젊은 여자를 친정집 문 앞으로 끌고 와서, 그 도시 사람들이 그 여자에게 돌을 던져 죽이도록 하십시오. 그 여자는 이스라엘에서 어처구니없는 일을 저질러, 친정집에서 놀아난 것이니까요. 이처럼 나쁜 짓은 그대 이스라엘 가운데서 뿌리 뽑아 버리도록 하십시오.”	Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
22	남편 있는 여자와 함께 누웠다면 “어떤 남자가 남편 있는 여자와 함께 누워 있다가 들켰다고 합시다. 그러면 여자와 함께 누운 남자와 그 여자, 둘 다 죽이도록 하십시오. 이처럼 나쁜 짓은 그대 이스라엘 가운데서 뿌리 뽑아 버려야 합니다.”	If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
23	도시에서 남의 약혼녀와 함께 누웠다면 “한 남자와 결혼하기로 약속한 젊은 여자가 있는데, 다른 남자가 도시에서 그를 만나 그와 함께 누웠다고 합시다.	If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24	그러면 그 둘을 그 도시의 성문으로 끌어내어 돌을 던져 죽이도록 하십시오. 그 젊은 여자는 도시 안인데도 소리치지 않았기 때문이고, 그 남자는 이웃의 여자를 욕보였기 때문입니다. 이처럼 나쁜 짓은 그대 이스라엘 가운데서 뿌리 뽑아 버리도록 하십시오.”	Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25	들판에서 남의 약혼녀와 함께 누웠다면 “약혼한 젊은 여자를 어떤 남자가 들판에서 만났는데, 그를 붙잡아다가 그와 함께 누웠다고 합시다. 그러면 그와 함께 누운 남자만 죽이도록 하십시오.	But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:
26	그 젊은 여자에게는 아무 짓도 하지 마십시오. 그 젊은 여자에게는 죽을 죄가 없습니다. 이 일은 어떤 사람이 그 이웃을 덮쳐서 죽인 것과 마찬가지니까요.	But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27	또 남자가 여자를 들판에서 만난 것이어서, 약혼한 젊은 여자가 소리쳤더라도 도와줄 사람이 없었을 것이기 때문입니다.”	For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
28	약혼하지 않은 여자와 함께 누웠다면 “아직 약혼하지 않은 젊은 여자를 어떤 남자가 만났는데, 그를 붙잡아서 그와 함께 누웠다가 들켰다고 합시다.	If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29	그와 함께 누운 남자는 그 젊은 여자의 아버지에게 50개의 은을 주도록 하십시오. 그에게 그 여자는 아내가 됩니다. 그 여자를 욕보였으니까요. 그는 평생 그 여자를 내보낼 수 없습니다.”	Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
30	아버지의 아내를 건드리지 마십시오 “아버지의 아내를 건드리지 말고, 아버지의 옷자락을 들추어내지 마십시오.”	A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor discover his father’s skirt.
