1	흠 있는 제물은 바치지 마십시오 “여호와 그대의 하나님께는 흠이나 무슨 나쁜 점이 있는 소나 양을 제물로 바치지 않도록 하십시오. 그것은 여호와 그대의 하나님께 역겨운 것이니까요.”	Thou shalt not sacrifice unto the Lord thy God any bullock, or sheep, wherein is blemish, or any evilfavouredness: for that is an abomination unto the Lord thy God.
2	다른 신들 섬긴 사람은 죽이십시오 “여호와 그대의 하나님이 그대에게 주신 성문 안에서, 그대 이스라엘 가운데 여호와 그대의 하나님 보시기에 나쁜 짓을 하는 남자나 여자를 만날 수 있습니다. 여호와와 맺은 언약을 어긴 사람을요.	If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the Lord thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the Lord thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
3	가서 다른 신들을 섬기고 엎드려 절하는 사람, 또 해나 달이나 하늘의 온갖 별에게 엎드려 절하는 사람을요. 그렇게 하라고 여호와께서는 명령하신 적이 없는데도요.	And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
4	누군가가 그것을 그대에게 이야기해 주어서 그대가 들었다면, 잘 조사해 보도록 하십시오. 아뿔싸, 그 일이 사실로 판명되고, 이 역겨운 일이 이스라엘에서 일어났다고 합시다.	And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
5	그러면 이 나쁜 짓을 저지른 남자나 여자를 그대의 성문으로 끌어내어, 돌을 던져 죽이도록 하십시오.	Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
6	두 명의 증인이나 세 명의 증인의 말이 있으면 그를 죽여도 됩니다. 증인 한 명의 말만으로는 죽이지 않도록 하십시오.	At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
7	증인들이 먼저 그에게 손대어 그를 죽이고, 그런 다음에야 온 백성이 손대도록 하십시오. 그래서 이처럼 나쁜 짓은 그대 이스라엘 가운데서 뿌리 뽑아 버리도록 하십시오.”	The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.
8	어려운 사건은 이렇게 처리하십시오 “피 쏟은 일이든 권리 주장이든 폭행이든, 그대의 성문 안에서 일어난 여러 다툼에서 그대가 판가름하는 일이 어려울 수가 있습니다. 그러면 그대는 일어나서 여호와 그대의 하나님이 골라 주시는 곳으로 올라가도록 하십시오.	If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the Lord thy God shall choose;
9	그러고는 레위 사람 제사장들과 그 당시 재판관에게 가서 물어보도록 하십시오. 그러면 그들이 그대에게 판가름하는 말을 일러 줄 것입니다.	And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:
10	그대는 그들이 그대에게 일러 준 말을 실행하도록 하십시오. 여호와께서 골라 주시는 곳에서요. 그대는 그들이 그대에게 가르쳐 준 그대로 잘 실행하도록 하십시오.	And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the Lord shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:
11	그대는 그들이 그대에게 가르쳐 준 가르침과 그대에게 일러 준 판결을 실행하도록 하십시오. 그들이 그대에게 일러 준 말에서 오른쪽으로든 왼쪽으로든 벗어나지 마십시오.	According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.
12	그런데 제멋대로 행동하는 사람이 있다고 합시다. 여호와 그대의 하나님을 섬기려고 거기에 서 있는 제사장이나 재판관의 말을 듣지 않는다고 합시다. 그런 사람은 죽어 마땅합니다. 이처럼 나쁜 짓은 이스라엘 가운데서 뿌리 뽑아 버리도록 하십시오.	And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the Lord thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
13	그러면 온 백성이 듣고 두려워할 것입니다. 더는 제멋대로 행동하지 않을 것입니다.”	And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.
14	임금은 이렇게 세우십시오 “여호와 그대의 하나님이 주신 땅으로 그대가 들어가서, 그 땅을 차지하고 거기서 살게 되었다고 합시다. 그때 그대가 이렇게 말할 수 있습니다. ‘내 둘레의 모든 민족처럼 나도 내 위에 임금을 두고 싶어.’	When thou art come unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
15	반드시 여호와 그대의 하나님께서 뽑아 주시는 임금을 그대 위에 세우도록 하십시오. 그대의 형제 가운데서 누군가를 그대 위에 임금으로 세우도록 하십시오. 다른 나라 사람 곧 그대의 형제 아닌 사람을 그대 위에 세울 수는 없습니다.	Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
16	그렇지만 임금이라고 해도 자신을 위해 말의 수를 늘리지 못하도록 하십시오. 백성을 이집트로 돌려보내어 말의 수를 늘리려 하지 못하도록 하십시오. 여호와께서 그대들에게 ‘이 길로 다시는 돌아가지 마라!’ 하고 말씀하셨거든요.	But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the Lord hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.
17	또 임금이 자신을 위해 아내를 많이 두지 못하도록 하십시오. 그러면 그의 마음이 엇나가지 않을 것입니다. 자신을 위해 은과 금을 많이 모아들이지도 못하도록 하십시오.	Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
18	임금자리에 올랐을 때 임금은 자신을 위해 이 가르침을 두루마리에 옮겨 적어 두도록 하십시오. 레위 사람 제사장들 앞에서요.	And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
19	그런 다음에는 그 두루마리를 곁에 두고 평생 읽도록 하십시오. 여호와 그의 하나님 두려워하기를 배우고, 이 가르침의 모든 말씀과 이 규정들을 지키며 실행하도록요.	And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the Lord his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:
20	임금의 마음이 자신의 형제들보다 높아지지 않고, 그 명령에서 오른쪽으로든 왼쪽으로든 벗어나지 않도록요. 그러면 임금도 임금의 자손들도 이스라엘 가운데서 오랫동안 임금의 자리에 있을 것입니다.”	That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.
