절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	다윗이 달아나다 다윗이 놉에 있는 아히멜렉 제사장에게 갔다. 아히멜렉이 떨며 다윗을 맞아들이고는 그에게 물었다. “어째서 그대가 혼자인 게요? 그대와 함께한 사람이 하나도 없는 겁니까?”	Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
2	다윗이 아히멜렉 제사장에게 말했다. “임금님이 한 가지를 명령하면서 저에게 말씀하셨습니다. ‘아무도 아무것도 알지 못하게 하여라, 내가 친히 그대를 보낸다는 것과 내가 그대에게 명령했다는 것을!’ 내가 부리는 젊은이들에게는 내가 이러저러한 곳으로 간다고 알려 주었습니다.	And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place.
3	지금 제사장님 손에 있는 것은 무엇입니까? 빵 다섯 덩어리를 제게 주십시오. 아니면 아무것이나 있는 대로요.”	Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present.
4	제사장이 다윗에게 대답하여 말했다. “평소에 먹는 빵은 내 손에 있지 않아요. 그렇지만 거룩하게 구별된 빵은 있습니다. 그 젊은이들이 자신을 지켜 여자를 멀리하기만 했다면요.”	And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
5	다윗이 제사장에게 대답하여 말했다. “여자가 우리와 관계를 한 적은 전혀 없습니다, 내가 떠나온 이후로 어제와 그저께는요. 그래서 세속적인 일로 길을 나섰는데도 이 젊은이들의 몸은 거룩해져 있습니다. 그렇다면 오늘은 그들의 몸이 더더욱 거룩해져 있지 않겠습니까?”	And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
6	제사장이 그에게 거룩한빵(진설병)을 주었다. 차려 놓았다가 여호와 앞에서 치워 놓은 빵 말고는 다른 빵이 거기에는 없었기 때문이다. 그날에 따뜻한 빵을 두려고 치워 놓은 것이었다.	So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the Lord, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
7	그날 거기에는 사울의 신하 가운데 한 사람이 여호와 앞에 붙잡혀 있었다. 그의 이름은 도엑이고 에돔 사람이며 사울의 목자들을 이끄는 사람이었다.	Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the Lord; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.
8	다윗이 아히멜렉에게 말했다. “여기에 제사장님이 관리하시는 창이나 칼은 없습니까? 제 칼도 무기도 손에 들고 오질 못했거든요. 임금님의 일이 긴급해서요.”	And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.
9	제사장이 말했다. “필리스티아 사람 골리앗의 칼이 있습니다. 그대가 엘라 골짜기에서 쳐 죽인 사람이지요. 보세요. 보자기에 싸인 채로 에봇 뒤에 있어요. 그걸 그대가 가져갈 거면 가져가세요. 그것 말고는 여기에 다른 것은 없으니까요.” 다윗이 말했다. “그것만 한 것이 없습니다. 그걸 저에게 주십시오.”	And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.
10	다윗이 그날 일어나 사울로부터 달아났다. 그러고는 가드 임금 아기스에게로 갔다.	And David arose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.
11	아기스의 신하들이 그에게 말했다. “이 사람은 그 땅의 임금 다윗이 아닙니까? 이 사람을 두고서 사람들이 둥글게 줄지어 춤추며 이런 노래를 주고받지 않았습니까? ‘쳐부수었다네, 사울은 수천 명을, 다윗은 수만 명을!’”	And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
12	다윗은 이런 말들을 마음에 담아 두었다. 그러고는 가드 임금 아기스를 매우 두려워했다.	And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath.
13	그래서 그들의 눈앞에서는 겉으로 꾸며서 그들이 손을 대면 미친 듯이 굴었다. 성문의 문짝에 낙서하고 수염에 침을 흘려 댔다.	And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.
14	아기스가 자신의 신하들에게 말했다. “이런, 그대들이 보다시피 미쳐 날뛰는 사람이 아니오! 무슨 까닭으로 그를 나에게로 데려오는 거요?	Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me?
15	미쳐 날뛰는 사람이 나에게 모자라서 이 사람을 데려온 거요? 내 앞에서 미쳐 날뛰라고? 이 사람이 나의 왕궁에 들어와야 하겠소?”	Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?
