1	부활하신 주님이 사울에게 나타나시다 사울은 주님의 제자들에게 여전히 살기를 품고 씩씩거리며 위협하고 있었다. 그는 대제사장을 찾아갔다.	And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
2	사울은 다마스쿠스에 있는 여러 회당에 보내는 편지들을 대제사장한테 요청했다. 믿음의 길을 가고 있는 사람들을 만나면 남자든 여자든 잡아 묶어서 예루살렘으로 끌고 오기 위해서였다.	And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3	길을 가는 가운데 다마스쿠스에 가까이 이르렀을 때의 일이다. 갑자기 하늘로부터 빛이 그를 둘러 비추었다.	And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4	사울이 땅에 쓰러져서 자기에게 말하는 목소리를 들었다. “사울아, 사울아! 왜 나를 박해하느냐?”	And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5	사울이 말했다. “당신은 누구십니까, 주님?” 그분이 말씀하셨다. “나는, 바로 네가 박해하는 예수다.	And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6	일어나 그 도시 안으로 들어가라! 네가 무엇을 해야만 할지를 거기서 듣게 될 것이다.”	And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
7	사울과 함께 길을 가던 사람들은 말문이 막힌 채 서 있었다. 목소리는 들었으나 예수님은 볼 수 없어서였다.	And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
8	사울이 땅에서부터 일으킴을 받았다. 그런데 그는 눈을 뜨고는 있었지만 아무것도 볼 수는 없었다. 사람들이 사울의 손을 잡고 이끌어 다마스쿠스로 데리고 들어갔다.	And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
9	사울은 3일 동안 보지 못하는 채로 지냈다. 또 먹지도 않고 마시지도 않았다.	And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
10	주님이 하나냐에게 나타나 사울한테로 가라고 하시다 다마스쿠스에 어떤 제자가 있었는데, 이름이 하나냐였다. 주님이 환상 가운데서 하나냐한테 “하나냐!” 하고 말씀하셨다. 그가 대답했다. “예, 제가 여기 있습니다, 주님!”	And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11	주님이 하나냐한테 말씀하셨다. “일어나서 유쎄이아(곧은길)라 하는 거리로 가거라! 유다의 집에서 이름이 사울인 타르수스 사람을 찾거라! 보라, 그가 기도하고 있다.	And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
12	그는 환상 가운데서 하나냐라는 이름의 남자가 들어와 자기에게 두 손을 얹어 안수하여 다시 보게 해 주는 것을 보았다.”	And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
13	그러자 하나냐가 대답했다. “주님, 많은 사람이 이 사람을 두고 하는 말을 들었는데, 그는 예루살렘에서 주님의 성도들에게 온갖 나쁜 짓을 저질렀다고 합니다.	Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
14	그러고는 주님의 이름을 부르는 사람들을 모두 잡아 묶을 권한을 대제사장들한테 받아서 여기에 와 있습니다.”	And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15	주님이 하나냐한테 대답하셨다. “가라! 내가 선택한 그릇이 바로 이 사람이기 때문이다. 이 사람은 민족들과 임금들과 이스라엘 사람들 앞에서 내 이름을 알려야 한다.	But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16	그가 내 이름을 위해 겪어야 할 온갖 일을 내가 직접 그에게 보여 줄 것이다.”	For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.
17	그러자 하나냐가 떠나서 그 집으로 들어갔다. 그리고 사울에게 두 손을 얹어 안수하고 말했다. “사울 형제님, 주님이 저를 보내셨습니다. 예수님, 곧 형제님이 오던 길에서 나타나셨던 그분이 말입니다. 형제님이 다시 보고 성령으로 가득 차게 하시려는 것이지요.”	And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18	그러자 곧바로 사울의 두 눈에서 비늘 같은 것들이 떨어져 나갔다. 사울이 다시 보게 되었고, 일어나서 세례를 받았다.	And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
19	그리고 음식을 받아서 먹고 다시 힘을 얻었다. 사울이 다마스쿠스에 있는 제자들과 함께 며칠을 보냈다.	And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
20	사울이 다마스쿠스에서 그리스도를 선포하다 그리고 곧바로 여러 회당에서 예수님을 두고 “이분이 하나님의 아들이시다.” 하고 선포했다.	And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
21	듣고 있던 사람들이 모두 얼떨떨해하며 말했다. “이 사람은 예루살렘에서 이 이름을 부르는 사람들을 모조리 잡아 없앴던 사람 아닌가요? 여기서도 그 일을 하려고 온 것이 아닌가요? 그들을 잡아 묶어 대제사장들 앞으로 끌고 가려고 말입니다.”	But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
22	사울은 더욱더 힘을 받았고, 다마스쿠스에 자리 잡고 사는 유대아 사람들을 혼란에 빠뜨렸다. ‘이분이 그리스도이심’을 입증했던 것이다.	But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
23	사울이 유대아 사람들에게서 달아나다 제법 여러 날이 지났을 때, 유대아 사람들이 사울을 없애려고 함께 못된 일을 꾸몄다.	And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:
24	그런데 그들이 꾸민 못된 일이 사울에게 알려졌다. 그들은 사울을 없애려고 성문들까지 밤과 낮으로 지키고 있었다.	But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
25	사울의 제자들이 사울을 모셔다가 밤에 성벽을 통해서 광주리로 달아 내려 빠져나가게 해 주었다.	Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
26	사울이 예루살렘에 갔다가 타르수스로 가다 사울이 예루살렘에 이르러 제자들과 어울리려고 애썼다. 그러나 모두가 그를 두려워하고 있었다. 사울이 제자라는 것을 그들이 믿지 못해서였다.	And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.
27	그런데 바르나바가 사울을 붙들어다가 사도들한테 데리고 갔다. 그러고는 길에서 어떻게 사울이 주님을 뵙게 되었는지와 또 주님이 사울에게 말씀하셨다는 사실을 이야기해 주었다. 어떻게 사울이 다마스쿠스에서 예수님의 이름으로 거리낌 없이 말했는지도 이야기해 주었다.	But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
28	그리하여 사울이 사도들과 함께 지내며 예루살렘에 드나들었다. 그러면서 주님의 이름으로 거리낌 없이 말했다.	And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
29	사울은 그리스말을 쓰는 유대아 사람들한테 말을 건네기도 하고 논쟁도 했다. 그런데 그들은 사울을 없애려고 손을 썼다.	And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
30	형제자매들이 이것을 알아차리고는 사울을 데리고 카이사레아로 내려가서 그를 타르수스로 떠나보냈다.	Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Cesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.
31	교회가 평화를 누리며 커지다 그렇게 하여 교회는 유대아와 갈릴래아와 사마리아 온 지역에 걸쳐서 평화를 누리며 굳게 세워져 갔다. 또 주님을 두려워하며 나아갔고, 성령님의 격려 덕분에 계속 커졌다.	Then had the churches rest throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
32	아이네아스가 고침받다 베드로가 온 지역을 두루 지나서 룻다에 자리 잡고 사는 성도들한테까지 내려왔을 때의 일이었다.	And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.
33	거기서 어떤 사람을 만났는데, 이름은 아이네아스였고 8년째 병상에 드러누워 있었다. 마비증에 시달리는 사람이었다.	And there he found a certain man named Eneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.
34	베드로가 그에게 말했다. “아이네아스! 예수 그리스도께서 그대를 낫게 해 주십니다. 일어나 자리를 정돈하세요!” 그러자 곧바로 그가 일어났다.	And Peter said unto him, Eneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.
35	룻다와, 샤론 평지에 자리 잡고 사는 사람들 모두가 그를 보았다. 본 사람들은 다 주님께로 돌아왔다.	And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
36	도르가가 살아나다 욥바에 어떤 여자 제자가 있었는데, 이름이 타비다였다. 그리스어로 옮기면 도르가이다. 이 여자가 한 착한 일과 구제 활동은 수두룩했다.	Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
37	그런데 그즈음에 이 여자가 병약해져서 죽은 일이 일어났다. 사람들이 그 여자를 씻겨서 위층 방에 눕혀 두었다.	And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
38	룻다는 욥바에서 가까웠다. 제자들이 베드로가 룻다에 있다는 소식을 듣고서 두 사람을 베드로한테 보냈다. 그 둘은 베드로한테 사정사정했다. “머뭇거리지 말고 우리 있는 데로 건너와 주세요!”	And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
39	그러자 베드로가 일어나서 두 사람과 함께 갔다. 베드로가 도착하자 그들이 그를 위층 방으로 모시고 올라갔다. 그러자 남편 여읜 여자들이 모두 베드로 곁에 서서 울었다. 또 도르가가 자기들과 함께 있을 때 만들어 준 통옷과 겉옷을 다 보여 주었다.	Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
40	베드로가 사람들을 모두 밖으로 내보내고는 무릎을 꿇고서 기도했다. 그러고는 시신 곁으로 돌아와서 말했다. “타비다! 일어나세요!” 그러자 타비다가 눈을 떴다. 그리고 베드로를 보더니 일어나 앉았다.	But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
41	베드로가 손을 내밀어 타비다를 일으켜 세웠다. 그러고는 성도들과 남편 여읜 여자들을 불러들여 타비다가 살아 있는 것을 보여 주었다.	And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.
42	이 일이 욥바 온 지역에 알려져서, 많은 사람들이 주님을 믿게 되었다.	And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
43	베드로는 욥바에서 가죽 다루는 사람 시몬의 집에 꽤 여러 날 머물게 되었다.	And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
