1	등불을 켜는 방법 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2	“너는 아론에게 말해 주고, 그에게 일러두어라. ‘형님이 등불을 켜실 때 등불받침대 앞쪽으로 일곱 개의 등불이 비치게 하십시오.’”	Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
3	아론이 그렇게 했다. 아론은 등불받침대 앞쪽으로 등불을 켰다. 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로였다.	And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the Lord commanded Moses.
4	등불받침대는 금을 두들겨 만들었는데, 밑동에서 꼭대기 꽃까지 두들겨 만들었다. 여호와께서 모세에게 보여 주신 모양대로 등불받침대를 만들었다.	And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the Lord had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.
5	레위 사람들을 깨끗하게 하다 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
6	“너는 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서 레위 사람들을 데려다가 깨끗하게 하여라.	Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
7	그들을 깨끗하게 하려면 이렇게 해야 한다. 너는 죄 없애는 물을 그들 위에 뿌려야 한다. 그들은 털 깎는 칼로 자기들의 온몸을 밀고, 자기들의 옷을 빨아 깨끗하게 해야 한다.	And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
8	수송아지를 기름 섞은 고운 밀가루의 곡식제물(소제물)과 함께 끌고 와야 한다. 또 두 번째 수송아지를 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로 끌고 와야 한다.	Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.
9	레위 사람들을 만남의 천막 앞으로 가까이 오게 하고, 이스라엘 사람들의 온 무리를 불러 모아라.	And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:
10	레위 사람들을 여호와 앞에 가까이 오게 하고, 이스라엘 사람들이 레위 사람들 위에 손을 얹게 하여라.	And thou shalt bring the Levites before the Lord: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:
11	아론은 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서 레위 사람들을 흔드는제물(요제물)로서 여호와 앞에 흔들어 바쳐서, 그들이 여호와의 일을 하게 해야 한다.	And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the Lord.
12	레위 사람들은 수송아지들의 머리 위에 손을 얹어야 한다. 너는 여호와에게 한 마리는 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)로, 다른 한 마리는 다태우는제물(번제물)로 바쳐서 레위 사람들의 죄를 없애 주어야 한다.	And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the Lord, to make an atonement for the Levites.
13	너는 레위 사람들을 아론과 그의 아들들 앞에 세우고, 흔드는제물(요제물)로 여호와에게 흔들어 바쳐야 한다.	And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the Lord.
14	레위 사람들은 네가 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서 따로 떼어 내야 한다. 레위 사람들은 내 것이 되어야 한다.	Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
15	그런 다음에 레위 사람들은 가서 만남의 천막을 보살피는 일을 하게 하여라. 너는 흔드는제물(요제물)로 그들을 깨끗하게 하여 흔들어 바쳐라.	And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.
16	참으로 그들은 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서 나에게 완전히 바쳐진 사람들이다. 나는 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서 어머니 몸에서 처음 태어난 맏아들을 모두 그들이 대신하게 했다. 그들을 내 것으로 삼았다.	For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
17	참으로 이스라엘 사람들의 집에서 처음 태어난 것은 사람이든 짐승이든 모두 내 것이다. 내가 이집트 땅에서 처음으로 태어난 것을 모조리 죽이던 날에 그들을 거룩하게 하여 내 것으로 삼았다.	For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
18	내가 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서 맏아들을 모두 레위 사람들이 대신하게 했다.	And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.
19	내가 이스라엘 사람들 가운데서 레위 사람들을 아론과 그의 아들들에게 주었다. 그래서 이스라엘 사람들이 할 일을 그들이 만남의 천막에서 하게 하고 이스라엘 사람들의 죄를 없애 주게 했다. 이스라엘 사람들이 거룩한곳(성소)에 다가올 때 이스라엘 사람들에게 재난이 닥치지 않게 했다.”	And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
20	모세와 아론과 이스라엘 사람들의 온 무리가 레위 사람들에게, 여호와께서 레위 사람들을 두고 모세에게 명령하신 대로 해 주었다. 그들에게 이스라엘 사람들도 그렇게 해 주었다.	And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
21	레위 사람들은 죄를 씻고 옷을 빨았다. 아론은 흔드는제물(요제물)로 그들을 여호와 앞에서 흔들어 바쳤다. 아론은 그들을 위해 죄 없애는 예식을 하여 그들을 깨끗하게 해 주었다.	And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the Lord; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
22	그런 다음에 레위 사람들은 만남의 천막에서 자기들이 할 일을 하려고 아론과 그의 아들들 앞으로 나아갔다. 그들은 여호와께서 레위 사람들을 두고 모세에게 명령하신 대로 레위 사람들에게 했다.	And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
23	여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
24	“레위 사람들에게 해당되는 규정은 이러하다. 25세부터 만남의 천막에 와서 할 일을 해야 한다.	This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:
25	50세부터는 하던 일에서 물러나고 더는 일하지 말아야 한다.	And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:
26	만남의 천막에서 그의 형제들이 지킬 것을 지킬 때 시중을 들 수는 있다. 그렇지만 하던 일은 하지 말아야 한다. 레위 사람들에게 이렇게 자기들의 할 일을 하게 하여라.”	But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.
