1	예수님의 부활과 여자들 안식일이 지나고 한 주간의 첫날이 밝아 올 때였다. 막달라 사람 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 살펴보러 갔다.	In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2	그런데, 보라, 큰 지진이 일어났다. 주님의 천사가 하늘에서 내려와 무덤에 다가가서는 입구의 돌을 굴려 치워 버리고 그 돌 위에 앉았기 때문이다.	And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3	그의 모습은 번개처럼 번쩍거렸고, 그의 옷은 눈처럼 새하얬다.	His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4	그를 두려워한 나머지, 지키던 사람들은 덜덜 떨었고 죽은 사람들처럼 되었다.	And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5	그 천사가 여자들에게 말을 건넸다. “두려워하지 마세요, 그대들은! 내가 알고 있으니까요. 예수님, 곧 십자가에 못 박혀 매달리신 분을 그대들이 찾고 있다는 것을요.	And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6	그분은 여기 계시지 않아요. 일으킴받아 살아나셨거든요. 그분이 말씀하신 대로입니다. 이리 와서 보세요. 그분이 누워 계시던 그 자리를요.	He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7	이제 빨리 가서 그분의 제자들에게 이렇게 말해 주세요. ‘그분이 죽은 사람들 가운데서 일으킴받아 살아나셨어요!’ 보세요, 예수님이 그대들보다 앞서 갈릴래아로 가고 계십니다. 거기서 그대들은 그분을 뵙게 될 겁니다. 보세요, 내가 그대들에게 말해 주었어요.”	And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8	그러자 여자들은 빨리 무덤에서 나왔다. 두려움과 큰 기쁨에 휩싸인 상태였다. 그들은 그분의 제자들에게 소식을 알려 주려고 달려갔다.	And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9	그런데, 보라, 예수님이 그 여자들을 만나서 “평안하냐?” 하고 말씀하셨다. 그들은 다가가서 그분의 발을 붙잡고 그분께 엎드려 절했다.	And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10	그때에 예수님이 그들에게 말씀하신다. “두려워하지 마라. 가서, 나의 형제자매들에게 알려서 갈릴래아로 가라고 하여라. 거기서 그들이 나를 볼 것이다.”	Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11	대제사장들이 경비병들을 시켜 헛소문을 퍼뜨리다 그 여자들이 가고 있는 동안에, 보라, 경비대 몇 명이 도시로 가서 일어난 일을 모두 대제사장들에게 알려 주었다.	Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12	대제사장들은 원로들과 함께 모여 회의를 한 뒤에, 경비병들에게 돈을 충분히 주었다.	And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
13	그러면서 말했다. “너희들은 말하기를 ‘그의 제자들이 밤에 와서, 우리가 자고 있는 사이에 그를 훔쳐 갔다.’라고 해라.	Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14	이 일이 총독 귀에 들어가면, 우리가 직접 총독을 설득해서 너희는 염려 없도록 해 주겠다.”	And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
15	경비병들은 돈을 받고서, 대제사장들이 가르쳐 준 대로 했다. 그리고 이 말이 유대아 사람들 사이에 두루 퍼져서 오늘날에 이르고 있다. (; ; ; )	So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16	제자들에게 마지막 부탁을 하시다 열한 명의 제자가 갈릴래아에 있는 그 산으로 갔다. 예수님이 그들에게 지정해 주신 산이다.	Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17	예수님을 뵙자 그들은 엎드려 절했다. 그러나 어떤 사람들은 머뭇머뭇했다.	And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18	그때 예수님이 그들에게 다가가서 말씀하셨다. “하나님이 나에게 하늘과 땅의 모든 권한을 주셨다!	And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19	그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아라. 그들에게 아버지와 아들과 성령님의 이름으로 세례를 주어라.	Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20	또 내가 너희에게 명령했던 것은 무엇이나 다 그들에게 가르쳐 지키게 하여라. 보라, 바로 내가 너희와 함께 있다. 날마다, 세상이 끝날 때까지!”	Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
