1	나귀를 타고 예루살렘에 들어가시다 예수님 일행이 예루살렘에 가까이, 곧 올리브산의 기슭에 있는 벳바게와 베다니에 가까이 이르렀을 때이다. 예수님이 자신의 제자 가운데 두 명에게 일을 맡겨 보내신다.	And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
2	그러면서 그들에게 말씀하신다. “그대들 맞은편 마을로 가세요. 그리로 들어가서 보면 곧바로 어린 나귀 한 마리가 매여 있는 것이 눈에 띌 겁니다. 아직까지 어떤 사람도 탄 적이 없는 나귀예요. 그 나귀를 풀어서 끌고 오세요.	And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
3	왜 이렇게 하느냐고 묻는 사람이 있으면 이렇게 대답하세요. ‘주님께 그것이 필요합니다. 그리고 곧바로 다시 여기로 돌려보내실 것입니다.’”	And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
4	두 제자가 떠나가서 보니 어린 나귀가 문에 매여 거리 쪽 바깥에 있는 것이 눈에 띄었다. 그들은 그 나귀를 푼다.	And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
5	그러자 거기에 서 있던 사람들 가운데 어떤 사람들이 물었다. “어린 나귀를 풀어서 뭘 하려는 거요?”	And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
6	두 제자는 예수님이 말씀해 주신 대로 대답했다. 그러자 사람들은 두 제자를 내버려두었다.	And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
7	두 제자는 어린 나귀를 예수님께로 끌고 와서 그 위에 자기들의 겉옷을 펴 놓는다. 그러자 예수님이 그 위에 앉으셨다.	And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
8	많은 사람들이 겉옷을 벗어 길에 쭉 펴 놓았다. 다른 사람들은 들에서 잎이 무성한 나뭇가지들을 꺾어다가 그렇게 했다.	And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9	그리고 앞서가는 사람들도 뒤따르는 사람들도 소리쳤다. “호산나! 찬양받으시기를, 주님의 이름으로 오시는 분이!	And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
10	찬양받기를, 오는 나라, 우리 조상 다윗의 나라가! 호산나, 더없이 높은 곳에서!”	Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11	그리고 예수님이 예루살렘 성전에 들어가셨다. 모든 것을 두루 살펴보시고는, 시간이 이미 늦었으므로, 열둘과 함께 베다니로 나가셨다. ()	And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
12	무화과나무를 저주하시다 다음날 예수님 일행이 베다니에서 나갔을 때, 예수님은 배가 고프셨다.	And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13	무화과나무에 잎이 무성한 것을 멀리서 보시고는, 그 나무에 뭐가 있을까 해서 가 보셨다. 그러나 그쪽으로 가서 보시니 이파리 말고는 아무것도 눈에 띄지 않았다. 무화과 철이 아니었기 때문이다.	And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14	이때 예수님이 그 나무에게 말씀하셨다. “너한테서 다시 열매를 따 먹을 사람이 영영 하나도 없을 것이다!” 제자들이 예수님 말씀을 듣고 있었다. (; ; )	And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
15	성전을 깨끗하게 하시다 예수님 일행이 예루살렘으로 간다. 예수님이 성전에 들어가셔서 성전에서 파는 사람들과 사는 사람들을 내쫓기 시작하셨다. 그리고 돈 바꾸어 주는 사람들의 탁자와 비둘기 파는 사람들의 의자를 뒤집어엎으셨다.	And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16	누구도 물건을 들고 성전을 지나다니지 못하게 하셨다.	And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17	예수님이 그들을 가르쳐 말씀하셨다. “성경에 이렇게 적혀 있지 않소? ‘나의 집은 기도의 집이라 불릴 것이다, 모든 민족들을 위해서.’ 그런데 바로 당신들은 이곳을 강도들 소굴로 만들어 놓았소.”	And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
18	대제사장들과 율법학자들이 듣고서, 예수님을 어떻게 없애 버릴지 그 방법을 찾고 있었다. 그들이 예수님을 두려워해서였다. 온 무리가 예수님의 가르침에 몹시 놀라워하고 있었기 때문이다.	And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
19	날이 저물었을 때 예수님 일행은 예루살렘 밖으로 나갔다. ()	And when even was come, he went out of the city.
20	말라 버린 무화과나무를 두고 말씀하시다 예수님 일행이 새벽에 지나가는데 그 무화과나무가 뿌리까지 말라 버린 것이 눈에 띄었다.	And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21	베드로는 생각이 나서 예수님께 말씀드린다. “랍비님, 보세요! 랍비님이 저주하신 무화과나무가 말라 버렸습니다.”	And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22	그러자 예수님이 대답하신다. “하나님에 대한 믿음을 가지세요.	And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23	아멘 그대들에게 말합니다. 누군가가 이 산더러 ‘일어나서 바다에 빠져라!’ 하고 말하면서 마음에 의심하지 않고 믿는다고 합시다. 말한 것이 이루어지리라고요. 그런 사람에게는 그대로 이루어질 것입니다.	For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24	그러므로 그대들에게 말합니다. 그대들이 기도하고 달라고 하는 것은 무엇이나 다 받았다고 믿으세요. 그러면 그대들에게 이루어질 것입니다.	Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25	서서 기도할 때, 누군가에게 맺힌 앙금이 있는 경우에는 그를 용서해 주세요. 그러면 그대들의 아버지, 곧 하늘에 계신 분도 그대들이 저지른 잘못을 용서해 주실 것입니다.”	And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26	(없음) (; )	But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
27	예수님의 권리를 두고 실랑이하다 예수님 일행이 다시 예루살렘에 들어간다. 예수님이 성전에서 거니시는 동안 대제사장들과 율법학자들과 원로들이 예수님께로 온다.	And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28	그리고 예수님께 따졌다. “당신은 무슨 권리로 이런 일을 하는 것이오? 누가 당신에게 이런 권리를 주어 이 일들을 하도록 했소?”	And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
29	예수님이 그들에게 대답하셨다. “당신들에게 한 말씀 좀 물어볼 테니 나에게 대답해 주시오. 그러면 내가 무슨 권리로 이런 일을 하는지 당신들에게 알려 주겠소.	And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30	요한의 세례가 비롯된 것은 하늘에서요, 사람에게서요? 나에게 대답해 주시오.”	The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
31	그들은 서로 이야기를 주고받으며 말했다. “‘하늘에서 비롯됐다.’라고 대답하면, 그가 이렇게 말할 텐데요. ‘그러면 무엇 때문에 요한을 믿지 않았소?’	And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32	아니면 ‘사람에게서 비롯됐다.’라고 대답해야 할까요?” 그들은 무리를 두려워하고 있었던 것이다. 모두들 요한이 진짜로 예언자라고 여기고 있었기 때문이다.	But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
33	그래서 그들은 예수님께 대답한다. “알지 못하오.” 그러자 예수님이 그들에게 말씀하신다. “나도 무슨 권리로 이런 일들을 하는지 당신들에게 말하지 않겠소.”	And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
