1	이웃의 편의를 봐주어라 우리는, 우리 강한 사람들은 강하지 않은 사람들의 약점들을 품어 주어야 합니다. 우리 편한 대로 해서는 안 됩니다.	We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2	우리는 저마다 이웃의 편의를 봐주어 그에게 좋은 일을 해 주고 세워 주어야 합니다.	Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3	그리스도께서도 자신에게 편한 대로 하지 않으셨으니까요. 오히려 성경에 이렇게 적혀 있는 대로입니다. “주님을 욕하는 사람들의 욕이 나한테 떨어졌다.”	For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
4	앞서 성경에 기록된 것은 무엇이든 우리를 가르치기 위해 기록되었습니다. 성경이 가르치는 인내와 용기를 통해 우리가 희망을 가지도록 하려는 것입니다.	For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
5	인내하게 하시고 용기를 주시는 하나님이 여러분에게 그리스도 예수님을 따라서 서로 같은 생각을 품게 해 주시기를 빕니다.	Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
6	그래서 여러분이 한마음 한입으로 하나님, 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 해 주시기를 빕니다.	That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7	유대아 백성도 다른 민족도 다 함께 하나님을 찬양할 것이다 그러므로 서로를 기꺼이 받아 주십시오. 그리스도께서도 하나님의 영광을 위하여 여러분을 기꺼이 받아 주신 것처럼 말입니다.	Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
8	내가 말합니다. 그리스도께서 할례받은 사람이 되셔서 섬기신 것은 하나님의 참되심을 보이시기 위해서였습니다. 곧 조상들에게 하신 여러 약속을 확인해 주시려는 것이었습니다.	Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9	그리고 다른 민족들도 하나님의 한결같은 사랑을 두고 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하시려는 것이었습니다. 성경에 이렇게 적혀 있는 대로입니다. “이런 까닭에 내가 주님께 찬양드리겠네, 다른 민족들 가운데서. 주님의 이름을 찬송하겠네.”	And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
10	그리고 다시 이렇게도 말합니다. “즐거워하라, 다른 민족들아, 그분의 백성과 함께!”	And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11	그리고 다시 이런 곳도 있습니다. “찬양하라, 모든 다른 민족들아, 주님을! 주님을 높여 찬양해야 하리라, 모든 백성들은!”	And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12	그리고 다시 이사야도 말합니다. “돋아날 것이다, 이새의 뿌리가, 일어나 다른 민족들을 다스리실 분이. 그분께 다른 민족들이 희망을 둘 것이다.”	And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
13	여러분이 그분을 믿을 때에 희망의 하나님이 여러분을 모든 기쁨과 평화로 가득하게 해 주시기를 빕니다. 그리하여 여러분이 성령님의 능력 안에서 희망으로 차고 넘치기를 빕니다.	Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
14	바울이 자기의 직무를 되돌아보다 나의 형제자매 여러분, 바로 나야말로 여러분에 대해서 확신하고 있습니다. 여러분이야말로 착한 마음으로 꽉 차 있고, 온갖 지식으로 가득 차 있고, 서로 타이를 수도 있는 분들이라는 것을요.	And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15	그러나 나는 여러분의 기억을 되살려 드리는 의미에서 아주 과감하게 여러분에게 몇 가지 적어 보냈습니다. 하나님이 나에게 은혜로 주신 직무 때문입니다.	Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
16	나의 직무는 다른 민족들을 위해서 그리스도 예수님을 모시는 사람이 되어, 하나님의 복음을 전하는 제사장 일을 하는 것입니다. 그래서 다른 민족들이 하나님께 기꺼이 받아들여질 만한 제물, 성령님 안에서 거룩하게 된 제물이 되도록 하는 것입니다.	That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
17	그러므로 나는 하나님을 위한 나의 섬김을 두고 그리스도 예수님을 자랑합니다.	I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
18	그리스도께서 나를 통해 이루신 일, 곧 다른 민족들이 순종하게 하신 일 말고는 어떤 것도 감히 말하지 않을 테니까요. 그 일은 내 말과 행동을 통해 이루어졌습니다.	For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
19	여러 징표와 놀라운 일의 능력으로, 하나님의 영의 능력으로 이루어졌습니다. 그리하여 내가 예루살렘으로부터 빙 돌아 일루리곤에 이르기까지 그리스도의 복음 전파하는 일을 남김없이 다했습니다.	Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
20	이렇게 나는, 그리스도의 이름이 알려지지 않은 곳에서 좋은 소식 전하는 것을 명예로운 일로 열망했습니다. 나는 다른 사람이 닦아 놓은 터 위에다 집을 세우지 않으려고 한 것입니다.	Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:
21	성경에 이렇게 적혀 있는 대로입니다. “그분에 대해 전해 듣지 못한 사람들이 볼 것이고 들어 본 적 없는 사람들이 깨닫게 될 것이다.”	But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
22	바울의 로마 방문 계획 그래서 내가 여러분한테 가려고 했지만 여러 차례 발목이 잡혔던 것입니다.	For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.
23	그러나 이제는 이 지역에 더 이상 일할 곳이 없기도 하고, 아주 여러 해 전부터 나는 여러분한테 가기를 애타게 바라고 있습니다.	But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
24	스페인으로 가게 될 때 말이지요. 거쳐 가는 길에 여러분을 들여다보고, 여러분과 잠시 교제를 즐기다가, 거기서 여러분의 후원을 받아 떠나게 되기를 희망하기 때문입니다.	Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.
25	그러나 지금은 내가 성도들을 돕는 일로 예루살렘으로 가고 있습니다.	But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
26	마케도니아와 아카이아의 성도들이 예루살렘에 있는 성도들 가운데 가난한 사람들을 위해 구제금을 기꺼이 모아 주었기 때문입니다.	For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
27	그들이 기꺼이 그렇게 했는데, 사실 그들도 예루살렘 성도들에게 빚진 사람들이기 때문입니다. 다른 민족들이 예루살렘 성도들의 영적인 것들을 나누어 가졌다면, 다른 민족들 또한 육적인 것들로 그들을 지원하는 것이 마땅하거든요.	It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
28	그러므로 나는 이 일을 잘 마무리하고 그들에게 이 열매를 안전하게 전해 줄 것입니다. 그런 뒤에 여러분 계신 곳을 거쳐서 스페인으로 갈 겁니다.	When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.
29	나는 압니다. 여러분한테 갈 때 나는 그리스도의 복을 가득 받아 가게 될 것입니다.	And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
30	형제자매 여러분! 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통해 또 성령님의 사랑으로 여러분에게 권유합니다. 나를 위해 하나님께 기도드림으로 나와 함께 싸워 주십시오.	Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
31	곧 유대아에 있는 믿지 않는 사람들한테서 내가 건짐받도록 또 예루살렘을 위해 내가 섬기는 일이 성도들에게 잘 받아들여지도록 기도해 주십시오.	That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
32	그래서 기쁨 가운데 여러분한테 가서, 하나님의 뜻을 따라서 여러분과 함께 쉼을 누리게 되기를 바랍니다.	That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
33	평화의 하나님이 여러분 모두와 함께하시기를! 아멘!	Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
