1	아이를 낳은 여자가 깨끗해지는 법 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2	“너는 이스라엘 사람들에게 말해 주어라. ‘여자가 아이를 가져 남자아이를 낳으면, 7일 동안은 깨끗하지 않다. 생리 기간에 깨끗하지 않은 것과 마찬가지이다.	Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.
3	여덟째 날에는 아이의 음경 끝을 덮은 살가죽을 잘라 내야 한다.	And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
4	어머니는 33일을 지내며 피를 깨끗이 해야 한다. 무엇이든 거룩한 것에는 닿지 말고, 거룩한 장소에도 들어가지 마라. 그러면서 깨끗이 하는 기간을 채워라.	And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.
5	여자아이를 낳으면, 2주 동안은 생리할 때처럼 깨끗하지 않다. 66일을 지내며 피를 깨끗이 해야 한다.	But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.
6	아들을 낳았든 딸을 낳았든 깨끗해지는 기간이 차면, 어머니는 만남의 천막 입구의 제사장에게로 제물을 가져가야 한다. 다태우는제물(번제물)로는 1년 된 어린 숫양을, 깨끗하게하는제물(속죄제물)로는 집비둘기 새끼나 멧비둘기를 가져가야 한다.	And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
7	제사장은 제물을 여호와 앞에 바쳐서 어머니의 깨끗하지 않음을 없애고, 어머니를 피의 근원에서부터 깨끗해지게 해 주어야 한다. 이것이 남자아이든 여자아이든 아이를 낳은 여자에 관한 법규이다.	Who shall offer it before the Lord, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.
8	양을 바치는 데까지 그의 힘이 자라지 못하면, 멧비둘기 두 마리나 집비둘기 새끼 두 마리를 가져다가, 한 마리는 다태우는제물(번제물)로, 다른 한 마리는 깨끗하게하는제물(속죄제물)로 바칠 수 있다. 제사장은 어머니의 깨끗하지 않음을 없애고, 어머니를 깨끗해지게 해 주어야 한다.’”	And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
