1	나답과 아비후가 죽다 아론의 아들들인 나답과 아비후가 각자 자기 들통(향로)을 가져다가, 불을 담고 그 위에 향을 올렸다. 그런데 그들은 여호와께서 명령하지 않으신 낯선 불을 여호와 앞에 가져왔다.	And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.
2	그러자 불이 여호와 앞에서 나와 그들을 집어삼켰고, 그들이 여호와 앞에서 죽었다.	And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.
3	모세가 아론에게 말했다. “여호와께서 하신 말씀이 이러합니다. ‘내 가까이 있는 사람들에게 내가 나의 거룩함을 드러내고, 온 백성이 보는 앞에서 나 스스로를 영광 가운데 드러내겠다.’” 아론은 아무 말도 할 수 없었다.	Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
4	모세가 미사엘과 엘사반을 불렀다. 이들은 아론의 삼촌 웃시엘의 아들들이었다. 모세가 그들에게 말했다. “가까이 오세요. 제 조카들을 거룩한곳(성소) 앞에서 진영 밖으로 옮겨 주세요.”	And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.
5	그들이 가까이 와서, 긴 겉옷을 입은 채로 죽은 조카들을 진영 밖으로 옮겨 갔다. 모세가 명령한 대로였다.	So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.
6	모세가 아론에게, 또 조카 엘르아살과 이다말에게 말했다. “머리카락을 흩뜨리지도 말고 옷을 찢지도 마십시오. 그래야 형님도 두 조카도 죽지 않고, 하나님이 온 무리를 두고 노여워하지도 않으실 것입니다. 여호와께서 이 둘을 불태워 죽이신 일을 두고서는 이스라엘 온 집의 형제자매들이 슬퍼할 것입니다.	And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.
7	여호와께서 부어 주신 기름이 형님과 두 조카에게 있으므로, 죽지 않도록 만남의 천막 입구를 떠나지 마십시오.” 그들은 모세가 말한 대로 했다.	And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
8	제사장이 지킬 규정을 일러 주다 여호와께서 아론에게 말씀하셨다.	And the Lord spake unto Aaron, saying,
9	“너나 너와 함께한 너의 아들들이나 만남의 천막에 들어올 때에, 포도주나 맥주를 마시지 마라. 그렇게 해야 죽지 않을 것이다. 이것은 너희가 대대로 지켜야 할 영원한 규정이다.	Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
10	그렇게 해야 너희가 하나님의 것과 세상의 것, 깨끗하지 않은 것과 깨끗한 것을 구별할 수 있을 것이다.	And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;
11	여호와가 모세를 시켜 이스라엘 사람들에게 말해 준 온갖 규정을 그들에게 가르칠 수 있을 것이다.”	And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.
12	모세가 아론과 또 그에게 남아 있는 아들들인 엘르아살과 이다말한테 말했다. “여호와께 바치는 불사르는제물(화제물)에서 남은 곡식제물(소제물)을 조카들과 함께 가져다가, 그것을 누룩 없이 제단 옆에서 잡수십시오. 그 제물은 매우 거룩한 것입니다.	And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
13	거룩한 장소에서 잡수셔야 합니다. 그것은 여호와께 바치는 불사르는제물(화제물)에서 형님과 형님의 자녀가 받을 몫이기 때문입니다. 저는 그런 명령을 받았습니다.	And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire: for so I am commanded.
14	흔드는제물(요제물)인 가슴살과 높이드는제물(거제물)인 뒤 넓적다리는 깨끗한 곳에서 잡수실 수 있습니다. 형님과 함께하는 형님의 아들들과 딸들도 먹을 수 있습니다. 그것들은 이스라엘 사람들이 바치는 평화의희생제물(화목제물)에서 형님과 형님의 아들들과 딸들이 받을 몫으로 정해진 것이니까요.	And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
15	높이드는제물(거제물)인 뒤 넓적다리와 흔드는제물(요제물)인 가슴살을 그들이 가져와서, 불사르는제물(화제물)인 기름과 함께 여호와 앞에서 흔드는제물(요제물)로 흔들어야 합니다. 그것은 형님에게, 또 형님과 함께하는 아들들과 딸들에게 영원히 돌아가도록 정해진 것입니다. 여호와께서 명령하신 대로입니다.”	The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the Lord; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the Lord hath commanded.
16	죄없애는제물(속죄제물)인 숫염소를 모세가 찾고 찾았다. 그런데, 아뿔싸, 그 숫염소를 누군가가 불태워 버린 것이 아닌가! 모세는 아론에게 남아 있는 아들들인 엘르아살과 이다말에게 노여워하며 물었다.	And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
17	“너희는 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)을 왜 거룩한 장소에서 먹지 않았느냐? 그 제물은 매우 거룩한 것이다. 무리가 저지른 잘못의 짐을 너희가 짊어지고 여호와 앞에서 그들의 죄를 없애도록 하나님이 그것을 너희에게 주셨다.	Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?
18	이런! 제물의 피를 아무도 거룩한곳(성소) 안으로 가져오지 않았구나. 내가 명령한 대로, 제물은 너희가 반드시 거룩한 장소에서 먹었어야 했다.”	Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.
19	아론이 모세에게 말했다. “이보시게! 오늘 아이들이 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)과 다태우는제물(번제물)을 자신들을 위해 여호와 앞에 바치려고 했지. 그러다가 이런 일들이 나에게 닥쳤다네. 이런 판국에 죄없애는제물(속죄제물)을 오늘 내가 먹었더라면, 여호와 눈에 들었겠는가?”	And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the Lord?
20	모세가 듣고 보니, 자기가 보기에도 그렇겠다는 생각이 들었다.	And when Moses heard that, he was content.
