절	새한글성경 (2024)	King James Version
1	니네베가 황폐해질 것이다 (하나님) “아시리아 사람들을 흩어 버릴 사람이 너 니네베의 앞으로 올라왔다. 너는 요새들을 지켜라. 길을 살펴보아라. 허리를 동여매고, 온 힘을 모아라.	He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
2	여호와가 야곱의 위엄을 회복해 줄 것이다, 이스라엘의 위엄처럼! 황폐하게 하는 사람들이 그들을 황폐하게 하고, 그들의 가지를 망가뜨렸기 때문이다.	For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
3	그의 용사들의 방패는 붉게 칠해져 있었고, 군인들은 진홍빛 옷을 입었다. 전투 채비를 하는 날에 전투수레의 강철이 불처럼 번쩍였다. 창 자루들도 춤추었다.	The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
4	거리에서는 전투수레를 미친 듯이 몰아 대고, 광장을 내닫는다. 그 모습이 횃불 같고, 번개처럼 이리저리 내달린다.	The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
5	아시리아 사람들을 흩어 버릴 사람이 자신의 지휘관들을 불러냈다. 지휘관들은 가면서 비틀대기도 했다. 서둘러 니네베 성벽을 향해 나아가서, 화살막이 방패를 세웠다.	He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.
6	강으로 드나드는 문들이 열리고, 궁전이 뒤흔들렸다.	The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
7	확정된 대로 왕비가 벌거벗긴 채 끌려갔다. 왕비의 시녀들은 흐느껴 울고 있었다. 비둘기 소리 같았다. 시녀들은 가슴을 치고 있었다.	And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
8	니네베는 처음 있을 때부터 연못 같았다. 그 물이 빠져나가고 있다. ‘멈추어 서라! 멈추어 서라!’ 했지만, 몸을 돌리는 사람이 없다.	But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
9	은을 챙겨라! 금을 챙겨라! 그렇게 모아 둔 것이 끝도 없구나. 온갖 값진 그릇이 엄청나구나.	Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
10	텅 비어 있고 텅텅 비어 있고 완전히 비어 있구나. 마음이 무너져 내리고 두 무릎이 덜덜거리는구나. 온 허리에 떨림이 있고, 그 모든 사람의 얼굴이 핏기를 잃었구나.	She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
11	어디에 있느냐, 사자들이 숨어드는 곳이? 젊은 사자들이 먹는 곳이? 수사자와 암사자가 새끼와 함께 다녀도 그것들 겁줄 짐승이 없는 곳이?	Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion’s whelp, and none made them afraid?
12	수사자는 먹잇감을 잡아 찢어 새끼들이 배불리 먹게 하고, 암사자들을 위해 먹이의 숨통을 끊는다. 제 소굴을 먹잇감으로 채웠고, 자기 굴에 잡아 찢은 먹이를 두었다.	The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
13	보라, 내가 너 니네베와 맞서겠다. ― 전능하신 여호와의 말씀입니다. ― 내가 너의 전투수레를 불태워 연기가 나게 하겠고, 너의 젊은 사자들을 칼이 삼킬 것이다. 내가 땅에서부터 너의 먹잇감을 끊어 없애 버리겠다. 너의 사신들의 목소리가 더는 들리지 않을 것이다.”	Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
