1	주인 여러분, 올바르고 공평하게 종들을 대하십시오. 여러분 자신들도 하늘에 주인을 모시고 있다는 것을 아시잖아요.	Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
2	기도와 말에 대한 권유 기도에 정성을 쏟으십시오. 감사하면서 기도에 깨어 있으십시오.	Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
3	아울러 우리를 위해서도 기도해 주십시오. 하나님이 우리에게 말씀의 문을 열어 주셔서 그리스도의 비밀을 말하게 해 주시도록 기도해 주십시오. 그 일 때문에 나는 묶여서 갇힌 몸이 되어 있습니다.	Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
4	내가 꼭 말해야 하는 대로 그 비밀을 드러낼 수 있도록 기도해 주십시오.	That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
5	바깥 사람들을 대할 때는 지혜롭게 살아가십시오. 기회를 잘 이용하십시오.	Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
6	여러분의 말은 언제나 은혜롭고, 소금 간이 되어 있기를 바랍니다. 그리하여 여러분이 각 사람 하나하나에게 어떻게 대답하는 것이 마땅한지를 알게 되기를 바랍니다.	Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
7	바울이 개인적으로 전하는 말 나의 형편은 두기고가 여러분에게 다 알려 드릴 것입니다. 그는 주님 안에서 사랑받는 형제, 믿음직한 섬김이, 함께 종 된 동료입니다.	All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:
8	내가 그를 여러분한테 보낸 것은 바로 이 일을 위해서입니다. 곧 우리의 형편을 여러분에게 알려 드리고, 여러분의 마음을 위로하려는 것입니다.	Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
9	믿음직하고 사랑받는 형제 오네시모와 함께 그를 보냅니다. 오네시모는 여러분과 같은 고향 사람입니다. 그들이 여기 형편을 여러분에게 다 알려 드릴 것입니다.	With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.
10	바울의 동료들이 전하는 인사 나와 함께 갇힌 아리스타르코스가 여러분에게 안부를 전합니다. 바르나바의 사촌 마가도요. (마가에 대해서는 여러분이 지시를 받았습니다. 그가 여러분한테 가면 잘 맞이해 주십시오.)	Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister’s son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)
11	유스투스라고 하는 예수도 안부를 전합니다. 이들 세 사람은 할례받은 사람에 속합니다. 할례받은 사람들 가운데서는 이들만 하나님 나라를 위해 함께 일하는 사람입니다. 이들은 나에게 힘이 되었습니다.	And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
12	에바브라가 여러분에게 안부를 전합니다. 그는 여러분과 같은 고향 사람이고 그리스도 예수님의 종입니다. 그는 기도할 때마다 여러분을 위해서 언제나 애써 싸웁니다. 여러분이 완전하게 또 모든 면에서 하나님의 뜻에 확신을 가지고서 든든히 세워지도록 하기 위해서입니다.	Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
13	그에 대해서 내가 증언합니다. 그는 여러분과 라오디게아에 있는 분들과 히에라폴리스에 있는 분들을 위해 많이 애쓰고 있습니다.	For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
14	사랑받는 의사 누가와 데마도 여러분에게 안부를 전합니다.	Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
15	라오디게아에 있는 형제자매들과 눔파와 그의 집에서 모이는 교회에 안부를 전해 주십시오.	Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.
16	여러분이 모인 자리에서 편지를 읽어 준 뒤에는 라오디게아에 있는 교회에서도 읽어 주게 하십시오. 또 여러분 자신들도 라오디게아에서 받은 편지를 읽도록 하십시오.	And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
17	아르킵보에게 이렇게 말해 주십시오. “주님 안에서 넘겨받은 섬김의 직무에 조심하여, 그것을 이루어 내도록 하십시오!”	And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
18	바울의 서명과 축복 이 인사는 나 바울이 손수 씁니다. 내가 갇혀 있는 것을 기억해 주십시오. 은혜가 여러분과 함께하기를 빕니다!	The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. Written from Rome to the Colossians by Tychicus and Onesimus.
