| 1 | Psaume de David, donné au maître chantre, pour le chanter sur Guittith. | O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. |
| 2 | Eternel notre Seigneur ! que ton Nom est magnifique par toute la terre, vu que tu as mis ta Majesté au-dessus des cieux. | Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. |
| 3 | De la bouche des petits enfants, et de ceux qui tètent, tu as fondé ta force, à cause de tes adversaires ; afin de faire cesser l'ennemi et le vindicatif. | When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; |
| 4 | Quand je regarde tes cieux, l'ouvrage de tes doigts, la lune et les étoiles que tu as arrangées, | What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? |
| 5 | Je dis : qu'est-ce que de l'homme, que tu te souviennes de lui ; et du fils de l'homme, que tu le visites ? | For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. |
