| 1 | Cantique et Psaume d'Asaph. | Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. |
| 2 | Ô Dieu ! ne garde point le silence, ne te tais point, et ne te tiens point en repos, ô Dieu Fort ! | For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. |
| 3 | Car voici, tes ennemis bruient ; et ceux qui te haïssent ont levé la tête. | They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. |
| 4 | Ils ont consulté finement en secret contre ton peuple, et ils ont tenu conseil contre ceux qui se sont retirés vers toi pour se cacher. | They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. |
| 5 | Ils ont dit : venez, et détruisons-les, en sorte qu'ils ne soient plus une nation, et qu'on ne fasse plus mention du nom d'Israël. | For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: |

| 14 | Mon Dieu ! rends-les semblables à une boule, et au chaume chassé par le vent ; | As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; |
| 15 | Comme le feu brûle une forêt, et comme la flamme embrase les montagnes. | So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. |
| 16 | Poursuis-les ainsi par ta tempête, et épouvante-les par ton tourbillon. | Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord. |
| 17 | Couvre leurs visages d'ignominie, afin qu'on cherche ton Nom, ô Eternel ! | Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: |
| 18 | Qu'ils soient honteux et épouvantés à jamais, qu'ils rougissent, et qu'ils périssent ; Afin qu'on connaisse que toi seul, qui as nom l'Eternel, es Souverain sur toute la terre. | That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth. |
