Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; |
| 2 | ബയീത്തും ദീബോനും കരയേണ്ടതിന്നു പൂജാഗിരികളിൽ കയറിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; നെബോവിലും മേദെബയിലും മോവാബ് നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ തലയൊക്കെയും മൊട്ടയടിച്ചും താടിയൊക്കെയും കത്രിച്ചും ഇരിക്കന്നു. | He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off. |

| 4 | ഹെശ്ബോനും എലെയാലെയും നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഒച്ച യഹസ് വരെ കേൾക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു മോവാബിന്റെ ആയുധപാണികൾ അലറുന്നു; അവന്റെ പ്രാണൻ അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ നടങ്ങുന്നു. | And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him. |
| 5 | എന്റെ ഹൃദയം മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ കുലീനന്മാർ സോവാരിലേക്കും എഗ്ലത്ത് ശെളീശീയയിലേക്കും ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നു; ലൂഹീത്തിലേക്കുള്ള കയറ്റത്തിൽ കൂടി അവർ കരഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു; ഹോരോനയീമിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയിൽ അവർ നാശത്തിന്റെ നിലവിളി കൂട്ടുന്നു. | My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction. |
| 6 | നിമ്രീമിലെ ജലാശയങ്ങൾ വരണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു പുല്ലുണങ്ങി, ഇളമ്പുല്ലു വാടി, പച്ചയായതൊക്കെയും ഇല്ലാതെയായിരിക്കുന്നു. | For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing. |
| 7 | ആകയാൽ അവർ സ്വരൂപിച്ച സമ്പത്തും സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുവെച്ചതും അലരിത്തോട്ടിന്നക്കരെക്കു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. | Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows. |
| 8 | നിലവിളി മോവാബിന്റെ അതൃത്തികളെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അലൎച്ച എഗ്ലയീംവരെയും കൂക്കൽ ബേർ-ഏലീംവരെയും എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. | For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beer–elim. |
| 9 | ദീമോനിലെ ജലാശയങ്ങൾ രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ദീമോന്റെമേൽ ഇതിലധികം വരുത്തും; മോവാബിൽനിന്നു ചാടിപ്പോയവരുടെമേലും ദേശത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവരുടെമേലും ഞാൻ ഒരു സിംഹത്തെ വരുത്തും. | For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land. |
