| 1 | യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകൻമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവ ബാബേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചും കല്ദയദേശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും കല്പിച്ച അരുളപ്പാടു: | The word that the Lord spake against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet. |
| 2 | ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുവിൻ; കൊടി ഉയൎത്തുവിൻ; മറെച്ചുവെക്കാതെ ഘോഷിപ്പിൻ; ബാബേൽ പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ബേൽ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോയി, മേരോദാക്ക് തകൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോയി, അതിലെ ബിംബങ്ങൾ തകൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറവിൻ. | Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces. |
| 3 | വടക്കുനിന്നു ഒരു ജാതി അതിന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു; അതു ആ ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കുന്നു; അതിൽ ആരും വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; മനുഷ്യരും മൃഗങ്ങളും ഓടിപ്പോയ്ക്കളയുന്നു. | For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast. |
| 4 | ആ നാളുകളിൽ, ആ കാലത്തു, യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും ഒരുമിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു വന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the Lord their God. |
| 5 | അവർ സീയോനിലേക്കു മുഖം തിരിച്ചു അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു: വരുവിൻ; മറന്നുപോകാത്തതായ ഒരു ശാശ്വത നിയമത്താൽ നമുക്കു യഹോവയോടു ചേൎന്നുകൊള്ളാം എന്നു പറയും. | They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. |
| 6 | എന്റെ ജനം കാണാതെപോയ ആടുകൾ ആയീത്തീൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഇടയന്മാർ അവരെ തെറ്റിച്ചു മലകളിൽ ഉഴന്നുനടക്കുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ മലയിൽനിന്നു കുന്നിന്മേൽ പോയി തങ്ങളുടെ കിടപ്പിടം മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. | My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace. |
| 7 | അവരെ കാണുന്നവരൊക്കെയും അവരെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; അവരുടെ വൈരികൾ: നാം കുറ്റം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; അവർ നീതിനിവാസമായ യഹോവയോടു, അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ പ്രത്യാശയായ യഹോവയോടു തന്നേ, പാപം ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers. |
| 8 | ബാബേലിൽനിന്നു ഓടി കല്ദയദേശം വിട്ടു പോകുവിൻ; ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിന്നു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുന്ന മുട്ടാടുകളെപ്പോലെ ആയിരിപ്പിൻ. | Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks. |
| 9 | ഞാൻ ബാബേലിന്റെ നേരെ വടക്കെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു മഹാജാതികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തെ ഉണൎത്തിവരുത്തും; അവർ അതിന്റെ നേരെ അണി നിരത്തും; അവിടെവെച്ചു അതു പിടിക്കപ്പെടും; അവരുടെ അമ്പുകൾ വെറുതെ മടങ്ങാതെ സമൎത്ഥവീരന്റെ അമ്പുകൾ പോലെ ഇരിക്കും. | For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. |
| 10 | കല്ദയദേശം കൊള്ളയിട്ടുപോകും; അതിനെ കൊള്ളയിടുന്നവൎക്കു ഏവൎക്കും തൃപ്തിവരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the Lord. |
| 11 | എന്റെ അവകാശം കൊള്ളയിട്ടവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, നിങ്ങൾ ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, ധാന്യം മെതിക്കുന്ന പശുക്കിടാവിനെപ്പോലെ തുള്ളിക്കളിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, ബലമുള്ള കുതിരയെപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങൾ ചിറാലിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു, | Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls; |
| 12 | നിങ്ങളുടെ അമ്മ ഏറ്റവും ലജ്ജിക്കും; നിങ്ങളെ പ്രസവിച്ചവൾ നാണിച്ചുപോകും; അവൾ ജാതികളിൽ അന്ത്യജാതിയും മരുഭൂമിയും വരണ്ട നിലവും ശൂന്യദേശവും ആകും. | Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert. |
| 13 | യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം ഹേതുവായി അതു നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാതെ അശേഷം ശൂന്യമായിത്തീരും; ബാബേലിന്നരികത്തു കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവരും സ്തംഭിച്ചു അതിന്റെ സകലബാധകളുംനിമിത്തം ചൂളുകുത്തും. | Because of the wrath of the Lord it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues. |
| 14 | ബാബേലിന്റെ നേരെ ചുറ്റം അണിനിരത്തുവിൻ; എല്ലാ വില്ലാളികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, അമ്പുകളെ ലോഭിക്കാതെ അതിലേക്കു എയ്തുവിടുവിൻ; അതു യഹോവയോടു പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. | Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the Lord. |
| 15 | അതിന്നുചുറ്റും നിന്നു ആൎപ്പിടുവിൻ; അതു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ കൊത്തളങ്ങൾ വീണുപോയി; അതിന്റെ മതിലുകൾ ഇടിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതു യഹോവയുടെ പ്രതികാരമല്ലോ; അതിനോടു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്‌വിൻ; അതു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അതിനോടും ചെയ്‌വിൻ. | Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her. |
| 16 | വിതെക്കുന്നവനെയും കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തു അരിവാൾ പിടിക്കുന്നവനെയും ബാബേലിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളവിൻ; നശിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വാൾ പേടിച്ചു ഓരോരുത്തൻ സ്വജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകയും സ്വദേശത്തേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോകയും ചെയ്യും. | Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land. |
| 17 | യിസ്രായേൽ ചിന്നിപ്പോയ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടം ആകുന്നു; സിംഹങ്ങൾ അതിനെ ഓടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; ആദ്യം അശ്ശൂർരാജാവു അതിനെ തിന്നു; ഒടുക്കം ഇപ്പോൾ ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു. | Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones. |
| 18 | അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിനെ സന്ദൎശിച്ചതുപോലെ ബാബേൽ രാജാവിനെയും അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തെയും സന്ദൎശിക്കും. | Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria. |
| 19 | പിന്നെ ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ അവന്റെ മേച്ചൽപുറത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തും; അവൻ കൎമ്മേലിലും ബാശാനിലും മേഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും; എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിലും ഗിലെയാദിലും മേഞ്ഞു അവന്നു തൃപ്തിവരും. | And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead. |
| 20 | ഞാൻ ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവരോടു ക്ഷമിക്കയാൽ ആ നാളുകളിൽ, ആ കാലത്തു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അകൃത്യം അന്വേഷിച്ചാൽ അതു ഇല്ലാതെ ഇരിക്കും; യെഹൂദയുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ അന്വേഷിച്ചാൽ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve. |
| 21 | ദ്വിമത്സരം (മെറാഥയീം) എന്ന ദേശത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ചെല്ലുക; അതിന്റെ നേരെയും സന്ദൎശനം (പെക്കോദ്) എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലെ നിവാസികളുടെ നേരെയും തന്നേ; നീ അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു വെട്ടി നിൎമ്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തി ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്ക എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith the Lord, and do according to all that I have commanded thee. |
| 22 | യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ ആരവവും മഹാസംഹാരവും ദേശത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടു. | A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction. |
| 23 | സൎവ്വഭൂമിയുടെയും ചുറ്റിക പിളൎന്നു തകൎന്നുപോയതെങ്ങനെ? ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ബാബേൽ ശൂന്യമായിത്തീൎന്നതെങ്ങനെ? | How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations! |
| 24 | ബാബേലേ, ഞാൻ നിനക്കു കണിവെച്ചു, നീ അറിയാതെ അകപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തി പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയോടല്ലോ നീ പൊരുതിയതു. | I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the Lord. |
| 25 | യഹോവ തന്റെ ആയുധശാല തുറന്നു തന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങളെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവിന്നു കല്ദയദേശത്തു ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്‌വാനുണ്ടു. | The Lord hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord God of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans. |
| 26 | സകലദിക്കുകളിലും നിന്നു അതിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു അതിന്റെ കളപ്പുരകളെ തുറപ്പിൻ; അതിനെ കറ്റപോലെ കൂമ്പാരം കൂട്ടുവിൻ; അതിൽ ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കാതെ നിൎമ്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തുവിൻ; | Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left. |
| 27 | അതിലെ കാളയെ ഒക്കെയും കൊല്ലുവിൻ; അവ കുലെക്കു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോകട്ടെ; അവൎക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; അവരുടെ നാൾ, അവരുടെ സന്ദൎശനകാലം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. | Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation. |
| 28 | നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രതികാരം, തന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള പ്രതികാരം തന്നേ, സീയോനിൽ അറിയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ബാബേൽദേശത്തുനിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നവരുടെ ഘോഷം! | The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, the vengeance of his temple. |
| 29 | ബാബേലിന്റെ നേരെ വില്ലാളികളെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടുവിൻ; വില്ലു കുലെക്കുന്ന ഏവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, അതിന്റെ നേരെ ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങുവിൻ; ആരും അതിൽ നിന്നു ചാടിപ്പോകരുതു; അതിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അതിന്നു പകരം കൊടുപ്പിൻ; അതു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അതിനോടും ചെയ്‌വിൻ; അതു യഹോവയോടു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനോടു തന്നേ, അഹങ്കാരം കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. | Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel. |
| 30 | അതുകൊണ്ടു അതിലെ യൌവനക്കാർ അതിന്റെ വീഥികളിൽ വീഴും; അതിലെ യോദ്ധാക്കാൾ ഒക്കെയും അന്നു നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the Lord. |
| 31 | അഹങ്കാരിയേ, ഞാൻ നിനക്കു വിരോധിയായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു; നിന്റെ നാൾ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സന്ദൎശിക്കുന്ന കാലം, വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. | Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord God of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee. |
| 32 | അഹങ്കാരി ഇടറി വീഴും; ആരും അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കയില്ല; ഞാൻ അവന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കു തീ വെക്കും; അതു അവന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള എല്ലാവരെയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും. | And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him. |
| 33 | സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും ഒരുപോലെ പീഡിതരായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയവരൊക്കെയും അവരെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു. | Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go. |
| 34 | എന്നാൽ അവരുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരൻ ശക്തിമാൻ; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നാകുന്നു അവന്റെ നാമം; ഭൂമിക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും ബാബേൽനിവാസികൾക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും അവരുടെ വ്യവഹാരം അവൻ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ നടത്തും. | Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon. |
| 35 | കല്ദയരുടെമേലും ബാബേൽനിവാസികളുടെമേലും അതിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേലും ജ്ഞാനികളുടെമേലും വാൾ വരുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the Lord, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men. |
| 36 | വമ്പു പറയുന്നവർ ഭോഷന്മാരാകത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരുടെ മേൽ വാൾ വരും; അതിലെ വീരന്മാർ ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരുടെ മേലും വാൾ വരും. | A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed. |
| 37 | അവരുടെ കുതിരകളുടെമേലും രഥങ്ങളുടെമേലും അതിന്റെ നടുവിലെ സൎവ്വസമ്മിശ്രജാതിയും സ്ത്രീകളെപ്പോലെ ആയിത്തീരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരുടെ മേലും വാൾ വരും; അതിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങൾ കവൎന്നുപോകത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവയുടെ മേലും വാൾവരും. | A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed. |
| 38 | അതിലെ വെള്ളം വറ്റിപ്പോകത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ അതിന്മേൽ വറുതി വരുത്തും; അതു വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ ദേശമല്ലോ; ഘോരബിംബങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം അവർ ഭ്രാന്തന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു. | A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols. |
| 39 | ആകയാൽ അവിടെ മരുമൃഗങ്ങൾ കുറുനരികളോടുകൂടെ പാൎക്കും; ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷിയും അവിടെ വസിക്കും; ഇനി അതിൽ ഒരു നാളും കുടിപാൎപ്പുണ്ടാകയില്ല; തലമുറതലമുറയായി അതു നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാതെ കിടക്കും. | Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation. |
| 40 | ദൈവം സൊദോമും ഗൊമോരയും അവയുടെ അയൽ പട്ടണങ്ങളും നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞശേഷം എന്നപോലെ അവിടെയും ആരും പാൎക്കയില്ല; ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും അവിടെ വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the Lord; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein. |
| 41 | വടക്കുനിന്നു ഒരു ജാതി വരുന്നു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു ഒരു മഹാജാതിയും അനേകം രാജാക്കന്മാരും ഇളകിവരുന്നു. | Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. |
| 42 | അവർ വില്ലും കുന്തവും എടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ക്രൂരന്മാർ, കരുണയില്ലാത്തവർ തന്നേ; അവരുടെ ആരവം കടൽപോലെ ഇരെക്കുന്നു; ബാബേൽപുത്രീ, അവർ യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരായി ഓരോരുത്തനും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി നിന്റെ നേരെ അണിനിരന്നു നില്ക്കുന്നു. | They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not shew mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon. |

| 44 | യോൎദ്ദാന്റെ വൻകാട്ടിൽനിന്നു ഒരു സിംഹം എന്നപോലെ അവൻ, എപ്പോഴും പച്ചയായിരിക്കുന്ന മേച്ചൽ പുറങ്ങളിലേക്കു കയറിവരുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരെ പെട്ടെന്നു അതിൽനിന്നു ഓടിച്ചുകളയും; ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന ഒരാളെ അതിന്നു നിയമിക്കും; എനിക്കു സമനായവൻ ആർ? എനിക്കു നേരം കുറിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ? എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കാകുന്ന ഇടയൻ ആർ? | Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me? |
| 45 | അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ബാബേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ആലോചിച്ച ആലേചനയും കല്ദയരുടെ ദേശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരൂപിച്ച നിരൂപണങ്ങളും കേൾപ്പിൻ! ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചെറിയവരെ അവർ ഇഴെച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവൻ അവരുടെ മേച്ചൽപുറങ്ങളെ അവരോടുകൂടെ ശൂന്യമാക്കിക്കളയും. | Therefore hear ye the counsel of the Lord, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them. |
