1 അവൻ എന്നോടു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ കാണുന്നതു തിന്നുക: ഈ ചുരുൾ തിന്നിട്ടു ചെന്നു യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തോടു സംസാരിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
2 ഞാൻ വായ്തുറന്നു, അവൻ ആ ചുരുൾ എനിക്കു തിന്മാൻ തന്നു എന്നോടു: So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.
3 മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ഈ ചുരുൾ നീ വയറ്റിൽ ആക്കി ഉദരം നിറെക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ അതു തിന്നു; അതു വായിൽ തേൻപോലെ മധുരമായിരുന്നു. And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.
4 പിന്നെ അവൻ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ അവരോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്ക. And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.
5 അവ്യക്തവാക്കും കനത്ത നാവും ഉള്ള ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ അല്ല, യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കലത്രേ നിന്നെ അയക്കുന്നതു; For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;
6 അവ്യക്തവാക്കും കനത്ത നാവും ഉള്ളവരായി, നിനക്കു വാക്കു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത അനേകം ജാതികളുടെ അടുക്കലല്ല; അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അയച്ചെങ്കിൽ അവർ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കുമായിരുന്നു. Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.
7 യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമോ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കയില്ല; എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പാൻ അവൎക്കു മനസ്സില്ലല്ലോ; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമൊക്കെയും കടുത്ത നെറ്റിയും കഠിനഹൃദയവും ഉള്ളവരത്രെ. But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.
8 എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മുഖം അവരുടെ മുഖത്തിന്നു നേരെ കഠിനവും നിന്റെ നെറ്റി അവരുടെ നെറ്റിക്കു നേരെ കടുപ്പവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.
9 ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നെറ്റി തീക്കല്ലിനെക്കാൾ കടുപ്പമുള്ള വജ്രംപോലെ ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ മത്സരഗൃഹമെങ്കിലും നീ അവരെ പേടിക്കരുതു; അവരുടെ നോട്ടം കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിക്കയുമരുതു. As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
10 അവൻ പിന്നെയും എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ചെവികൊണ്ടു കേട്ടു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ കൈക്കൊൾക. Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.
11 നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തിൻ പുത്രന്മാരായ പ്രവാസികളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു, അവർ കേട്ടാലും കേൾക്കാഞ്ഞാലും അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു: യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറക. And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord God; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.
12 അപ്പോൾ ആത്മാവു എന്നെ എടുത്തു: യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം സ്വസ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഞാൻ വലിയ മുഴക്കത്തോടെ ഒരു ശബ്ദം എന്റെ പിറകിൽ കേട്ടു. Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place.
13 ജീവികളുടെ ചിറകു തമ്മിൽ തട്ടുന്ന ഒച്ചയും അവയുടെ അരികെയുള്ള ചക്രങ്ങളുടെ ഇരെച്ചലും വലിയ മുഴക്കമുള്ളോരു ശബ്ദവും ഞാൻ കേട്ടു. I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.
14 ആത്മാവു എന്നെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോയി; ഞാൻ വ്യസനത്തോടും മനസ്സിന്റെ ഉഷ്ണത്തോടും കൂടെ പോയി, യഹോവയുടെ കൈ ശക്തിയോടെ എന്റെമേൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.
15 അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ കെബാർനദീതീരത്തു പാൎത്ത തേൽ-ആബീബിലെ പ്രവാസികളുടെ അടുക്കൽ, അവർ പാൎത്തെടത്തുതന്നേ എത്തി, അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഏഴു ദിവസം സ്തംഭിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പാൎത്തു. Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel–abib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.
16 ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
17 മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്നു കാവല്ക്കാരനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നു വചനം കേട്ടു എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അവരെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കേണം. Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18 ഞാൻ ദുഷ്ടനോടു: നീ മരിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ നീ അവനെ ഓൎപ്പിക്കയോ ദുഷ്ടനെ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ തന്റെ ദുർമ്മാൎഗ്ഗം വിടുവാൻ അവനെ ഓൎപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടും ഒന്നും പറകയോ ചെയ്യാഞ്ഞാൽ, ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിൽ മരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്തമോ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 എന്നാൽ നീ ദുഷ്ടനെ ഓൎപ്പിച്ചിട്ടും അവൻ തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതയും ദുൎമ്മാൎഗ്ഗവും വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ അവൻ തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിൽ മരിക്കും; നീയോ നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 അഥവാ, നീതിമാൻ തന്റെ നീതി വിട്ടുമാറി നീതികേടു പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചിട്ടു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇടൎച്ച വെക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവൻ മരിക്കും; നീ അവനെ ഓൎപ്പിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവൻ തന്റെ പാപത്തിൽ മരിക്കും; അവൻ ചെയ്ത നീതി അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയുമില്ല; അവന്റെ രക്തമോ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21 എന്നാൽ നീതിമാൻ പാപം ചെയ്യാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ നീതിമാനെ ഓൎപ്പിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ പാപം ചെയ്യാതെ ഇരുന്നാൽ, അവൻ പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയാൽ അവൻ ജീവിക്കും; നീയും നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
22 യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അവിടെ പിന്നെയും എന്റെമേൽ വന്നു; അവൻ എന്നോടു: നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സമഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോക; അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. And the hand of the Lord was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.
23 അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സമഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോയി; ഞാൻ കെബാർനദീതീരത്തു കണ്ട മഹത്വംപോലെ അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഞാൻ കവിണ്ണുവീണു. Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.
24 അപ്പോൾ ആത്മാവു എന്നിൽ വന്നു എന്നെ നിവൎന്നുനില്ക്കുമാറാക്കി, എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചു: നീ ചെന്നു നിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നകത്തു കതകടെച്ചു പാൎക്ക. Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.
25 എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിനക്കു അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ പെരുമാറുവാൻ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം അവർ നിന്നെ കയറുകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടും. But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:
26 നീ ഊമനായി അവൎക്കു ശാസകനാകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാവിനെ നിന്റെ അണ്ണാക്കോടു പറ്റുമാറാക്കും; അവർ മത്സരഗൃഹമല്ലോ. And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.
27 ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വായ് തുറക്കും; നീ അവരോടു: യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം; കേൾക്കുന്നവൻ കേൾക്കട്ടെ; കേൾക്കാത്തവൻ കേൾക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; അവർ മത്സരഗൃഹമല്ലോ. But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.
