1 ദൈവേഷ്ടത്താൽ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലനായ പൌലൊസ് [എഫെസോസിൽ ഉള്ള] വിശുദ്ധന്മാരും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ വിശ്വാസികളുമായവൎക്കു എഴുതുന്നതു: Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽനിന്നും കൎത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിങ്കൽനിന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ. Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിലെ സകല ആത്മികാനുഗ്രഹത്താലും നമ്മെ ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ കൎത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവൻ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 നാം തന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വിശുദ്ധരും നിഷ്കളങ്കരും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ലോകസ്ഥാപനത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ നമ്മെ അവനിൽ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കയും According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 തിരുഹിതത്തിന്റെ പ്രസാദപ്രകാരം യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം നമ്മെ ദത്തെടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 അവൻ പ്രിയനായവനിൽ നമുക്കു സൌജന്യമായി നല്കിയ തന്റെ കൃപാമഹത്വത്തിന്റെ പുകഴ്ചെക്കായി സ്നേഹത്തിൽ നമ്മെ മുന്നിയമിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ. To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 അവനിൽ നമുക്കു അവന്റെ രക്തത്താൽ അതിക്രമങ്ങളുടെ മോചനമെന്ന വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു ഉണ്ടു. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 അതു അവൻ നമുക്കു താൻ ധാരാളമായി കാണിച്ച കൃപാധനപ്രകാരം സകലജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവുമായി നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 അവനിൽ താൻ മുന്നിൎണ്ണയിച്ച തന്റെ പ്രസാദത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം തന്റെ ഹിതത്തിന്റെ മൎമ്മം അവൻ നമ്മോടു അറിയിച്ചു. Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10 അതു സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലുമുള്ളതു എല്ലാം പിന്നെയും ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ ഒന്നായിച്ചേൎക്ക എന്നിങ്ങനെ കാലസമ്പൂൎണ്ണതയിലെ വ്യവസ്ഥെക്കായിക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നേ. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 അവനിൽ നാം അവകാശവും പ്രാപിച്ചു, തന്റെ ഹിതത്തിന്റെ ആലോചനപോലെ സകലവും പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നവന്റെ In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 നിൎണ്ണയപ്രകാരം മുന്നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു മുമ്പിൽകൂട്ടി ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ ആശവെച്ചവരായ ഞങ്ങൾ അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ പുകഴ്ചെക്കാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ. That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 അവനിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷം എന്ന സത്യവചനം നിങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കയും അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു, In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 തന്റെ സ്വന്തജനത്തിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിന്നു വേണ്ടി തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ പുകഴ്ചെക്കായിട്ടു നമ്മുടെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ അച്ചാരമായ വാഗ്ദത്തത്തിൻ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
15 അതുനിമിത്തം ഞാനും നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൎത്താവായ യേശുവിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തെയും സകലവിശുദ്ധന്മാരോടുമുള്ള സ്നേഹത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടിട്ടു, Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16 നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ഇടവിടാതെ സ്തോത്രംചെയ്തു എന്റെ പ്രാൎത്ഥനയിൽ നിങ്ങളെ ഓൎത്തുംകൊണ്ടു Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 നമ്മുടെ കൎത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദൈവവും മഹത്വമുള്ള പിതാവുമായവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും വെളിപ്പാടിന്റെയും ആത്മാവിനെ തരേണ്ടതിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയദൃഷ്ടി പ്രകാശിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടു That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 അവന്റെ വിളിയാലുള്ള ആശ ഇന്നതെന്നും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരിൽ അവന്റെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ മഹിമാധനം ഇന്നതെന്നും The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 അവന്റെ ബലത്തിൻ വല്ലഭത്വത്തിന്റെ വ്യാപാരത്താൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി വ്യാപരിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ അളവറ്റ വലിപ്പം ഇന്നതെന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നും പ്രാൎത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിലും വ്യാപരിച്ചു അവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ഉയിൎപ്പിക്കയും സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ തന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 എല്ലാ വാഴ്ചെക്കും അധികാരത്തിന്നും ശക്തിക്കും കൎത്തൃത്വത്തിന്നും ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ മാത്രമല്ല വരുവാനുള്ളതിലും വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സകലനാമത്തിന്നും അത്യന്തം മീതെ ഇരുത്തുകയും Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 സൎവ്വവും അവന്റെ കാൽക്കീഴാക്കിവെച്ചു അവനെ സൎവ്വത്തിന്നും മീതെ തലയാക്കി And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 എല്ലാറ്റിലും എല്ലാം നിറെക്കുന്നവന്റെ നിറവായിരിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ ശരീരമായ സഭെക്കു കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
