| 1 | ദൈവം ഇല്ല എന്നു മൂഢൻ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറയുന്നു; അവർ വഷളന്മാരായി, മ്ലേച്ഛമായ നീതികേടു പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നു; നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആരുമില്ല. | The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. |
| 2 | ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന ബുദ്ധിമാൻ ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു കാണ്മാൻ ദൈവം സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ നോക്കുന്നു. | God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. |
| 3 | എല്ലാവരും പിൻവാങ്ങി ഒരുപോലെ കൊള്ളരുതാത്തവരായിത്തീൎന്നു; നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവനില്ല; ഒരുത്തൻപോലും ഇല്ല. | Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. |
| 4 | നീതികേടു പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നവർ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; ദൈവത്തോടു അവർ പ്രാൎത്ഥിക്കുന്നില്ല. | Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God. |
| 5 | ഭയമില്ലാതിരുന്നേടത്തു അവൎക്കു മഹാഭയമുണ്ടായി; നിന്റെ നേരെ പാളയമിറങ്ങിയവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ ദൈവം ചിതറിച്ചുവല്ലോ. ദൈവം അവരെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു നീ അവരെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിച്ചു. | There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them. |

When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. |
