1 യഹോവെക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‌വിൻ; അവൻ നല്ലവനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു! O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 യഹോവ വൈരിയുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കയും കിഴക്കും പടിഞ്ഞാറും വടക്കും കടലിലും ഉള്ള Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 ദേശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു കൂട്ടിച്ചേൎക്കയും ചെയ്തവരായ അവന്റെ വിമുക്തന്മാർ അങ്ങനെ പറയട്ടെ. And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 അവർ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ജനസഞ്ചാരമില്ലാത്ത വഴിയിൽ ഉഴന്നുനടന്നു; പാൎപ്പാൻ ഒരു പട്ടണവും അവർ കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 അവർ വിശന്നും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രാണൻ അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ തളൎന്നു. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 അവർ പാൎപ്പാൻ തക്ക പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ അവരെ ചൊവ്വെയുള്ള വഴിയിൽ നടത്തി. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 അവർ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരിൽ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 അവൻ ആൎത്തിയുള്ളവന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുകയും വിശപ്പുള്ളവനെ നന്മകൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
10 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളോടു മത്സരിക്കയും അത്യുന്നതന്റെ ആലോചനയെ നിരസിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു ഇരുളിലും അന്ധതമസ്സിലും ഇരുന്നു Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
11 അരിഷ്ടതയാലും ഇരുമ്പുചങ്ങലയാലും ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ - Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
12 അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അവൻ കഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു താഴ്ത്തി; അവർ ഇടറിവീണു; സഹായിപ്പാൻ ആരുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
13 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 അവൻ അവരെ ഇരുട്ടിൽനിന്നും അന്ധതമസ്സിൽനിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളെ അറുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
15 അവർ യഹോവയെ, അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരിൽ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
16 അവൻ താമ്രകതകുകളെ തകൎത്തു, ഇരിമ്പോടാമ്പലുകളെ മുറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17 ഭോഷന്മാർ തങ്ങളുടെ ലംഘനങ്ങൾ ഹേതുവായും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾനിമിത്തവും കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18 അവൎക്കു സകലവിധ ഭക്ഷണത്തോടും വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി; അവർ മരണവാതിലുകളോടു സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
19 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചു. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20 അവൻ തന്റെ വചനത്തെ അയച്ചു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി; അവരുടെ കുഴികളിൽനിന്നു അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
21 അവർ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരിൽ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
22 അവർ സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിക്കയും സംഗീതത്തോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ വൎണ്ണിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ. And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
23 കപ്പൽ കയറി സമുദ്രത്തിൽ ഓടിയവർ, പെരുവെള്ളങ്ങളിൽ വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തവർ, They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
24 അവർ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെയും ആഴിയിൽ അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെയും കണ്ടു. These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
25 അവൻ കല്പിച്ചു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു, അതു അതിലെ തിരകളെ പൊങ്ങുമാറാക്കി. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26 അവർ ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു ഉയൎന്നു, വീണ്ടും ആഴത്തിലേക്കു താണു, അവരുടെ പ്രാണൻ കഷ്ടത്താൽ ഉരുകിപ്പോയി. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
27 അവർ മത്തനെപ്പോലെ തുള്ളി ചാഞ്ചാടിനടന്നു; അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധി പൊയ്പോയിരുന്നു. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
28 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഞെരുക്കങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29 അവൻ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെ ശാന്തമാക്കി; തിരമാലകൾ അടങ്ങി. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30 ശാന്തത വന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ സന്തോഷിച്ചു; അവർ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച തുറമുഖത്തു അവൻ അവരെ എത്തിച്ചു. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31 അവർ യഹോവയെ അവന്റെ നന്മയെ ചൊല്ലിയും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരിൽ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചൊല്ലിയും സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
32 അവർ ജനത്തിന്റെ സഭയിൽ അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തിൽ അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ. Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
33 നിവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം അവൻ നദികളെ മരുഭൂമിയും He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
34 നീരുറവുകളെ വരണ്ട നിലവും ഫലപ്രദമായ ഭൂമിയെ ഉവൎന്നിലവും ആക്കി. A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35 അവൻ മരുഭൂമിയെ ജലതടാകവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തെ നീരുറവുകളും ആക്കി. He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
36 വിശന്നവരെ അവൻ അവിടെ പാൎപ്പിച്ചു; അവർ പാൎപ്പാൻ പട്ടണം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും നിലം വിതെക്കയും And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
37 മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കുകയും സമൃദ്ധിയായി ഫലങ്ങളെ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
38 അവൻ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു അവർ അത്യന്തം പെരുകി; അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികൾ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകുവാൻ അവൻ ഇടവരുത്തിയില്ല. He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39 പീഡനവും കഷ്ടതയും സങ്കടവും ഹേതുവായി അവർ പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞു താണുപോയി. Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
40 അവൻ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേൽ നിന്ദ പകരുകയും വഴിയില്ലാത്ത ശൂന്യപ്രദേശത്തു അവരെ ഉഴലുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
41 അവൻ ദരിദ്രനെ പീഡയിൽനിന്നു ഉയൎത്തി അവന്റെ കുലങ്ങളെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടംപോലെ ആക്കി. Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
42 നേരുള്ളവർ ഇതു കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും; നീതികെട്ടവർ ഒക്കെയും വായ്പൊത്തും. The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43 ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവർ ഇവയെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കും; അവർ യഹോവയുടെ കൃപകളെ ചിന്തിക്കും. Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.
