1 അനന്തരം അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും ഓരോ ധൂപകലശം എടുത്തു അതിൽ തീ ഇട്ടു അതിന്മേൽ ധൂപ വൎഗ്ഗവും ഇട്ടു, അങ്ങനെ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതല്ലാത്ത അന്യാഗ്നി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.
2 ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു തീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവർ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ മരിച്ചുപോയി. And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.
3 അപ്പോൾ മോശെ: എന്നോടു അടുക്കുന്നവരിൽ ഞാൻ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടും; സൎവ്വജനത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പാകെ ഞാൻ മഹത്വപ്പെടും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇതു തന്നേ എന്നു അഹരോനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അഹരോനോ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
4 പിന്നെ മോശെ അഹരോന്റെ ഇളയപ്പൻ ഉസ്സീയേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ മീശായേലിനെയും എത്സാഫാനെയും വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ അടുത്തുചെന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.
5 മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ അവർ അടുത്തുചെന്നു അവരെ അവരുടെ അങ്കികളോടുകൂടെ പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.
6 പിന്നെ മോശെ അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും നിങ്ങൾ മരിക്കാതെയും സൎവ്വസഭയുടെയും മേൽ കോപം വരാതെയും ഇരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ തലമുടി പിച്ചിപ്പറിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം കീറുകയും അരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും യഹോവ ദഹിപ്പിച്ച ദഹനംനിമിത്തം കരയട്ടെ. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.
7 നിങ്ങളോ മരിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽ വിട്ടു പുറത്തു പോകരുതു; യഹോവയുടെ അഭിഷേകതൈലം നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ മോശെയുടെ വചനംപോലെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു. And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
8 യഹോവ അഹരോനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: And the Lord spake unto Aaron, saying,
9 നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും മരിച്ചു പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനകൂടാരത്തിൽ കടക്കുമ്പോൾ വീഞ്ഞും മദ്യവും കുടിക്കരുതു. ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു തലമുറതലമുറയായി എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടമായിരിക്കേണം. Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
10 ശുദ്ധവും അശുദ്ധവും മലിനവും നിൎമ്മലവും തമ്മിൽ നിങ്ങൾ വകതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;
11 യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു കല്പിച്ച സകലപ്രമാണങ്ങളും അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ. And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.
12 അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള ഭോജനയാഗം നിങ്ങൾ എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വെച്ചു പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്തതായി ഭക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; അതു അതിവിശുദ്ധം. And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
13 അതു ഒരു വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തു വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കേണം; യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളിൽ അതു നിനക്കുള്ള അവകാശവും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാൎക്കുള്ള അവകാശവും ആകുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire: for so I am commanded.
14 നിരാജനത്തിന്റെ നെഞ്ചും ഉദൎച്ചയുടെ കൈക്കുറകും നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും വെടിപ്പുള്ളോരു സ്ഥലത്തു വെച്ചു തിന്നേണം; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളിൽ അവ നിനക്കുള്ള അവകാശവും നിന്റെ മക്കൾക്കുള്ള അവകാശവുമായി നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
15 മേദസ്സിന്റെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ അവർ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നീരാജനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ഉദൎച്ചയുടെ കൈക്കുറകും നീരാജനത്തിന്റെ നെഞ്ചും കൊണ്ടു വരേണം; അതു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ശാശ്വതാവകാശമായി നിനക്കും നിന്റെ മക്കൾക്കും ഇരിക്കേണം. The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the Lord; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the Lord hath commanded.
16 പിന്നെ പാപയാഗമായ കോലാടിനെക്കുറിച്ചു മോശെ താൽപൎയ്യമായി അന്വേഷിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ അതു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; അപ്പോൾ അവൻ അഹരോന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും കോപിച്ചു: And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
17 പാപയാഗം അതിവിശുദ്ധവും സഭയുടെ അകൃത്യം നീക്കിക്കളവാനും അവൎക്കുവേണ്ടി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നതുമായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങൾ അതു ഒരു വിശുദ്ധ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു? Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?
18 അതിന്റെ രക്തം വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നകത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നില്ലല്ലോ; ഞാൻ ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ അതു ഒരു വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തു വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.
19 അപ്പോൾ അഹരോൻ മോശെയോടു: ഇന്നു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പാപയാഗവും ഹോമയാഗവും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അൎപ്പിച്ചു; എനിക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ഭവിച്ചുവല്ലോ. ഇന്നു ഞാൻ പാപയാഗം ഭക്ഷിച്ചു എങ്കിൽ അതു യഹോവെക്കു പ്രസാദമായിരിക്കുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the Lord?
20 ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ മോശെക്കു ബോധിച്ചു. And when Moses heard that, he was content.
