1 καὶ ἐγένετο τὰ ὅρια φυλῆς Ιουδα κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων τῆς Ιδουμαίας ἀπὸ τῆς ἐρήμου Σιν ἕως Καδης πρὸς λίβα This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.
2 καὶ ἐγενήθη αὐτῶν τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ λιβὸς ἕως μέρους τῆς θαλάσσης τῆς ἁλυκῆς ἀπὸ τῆς λοφιᾶς τῆς φερούσης ἐπὶ λίβα And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:
3 καὶ διαπορεύεται ἀπέναντι τῆς προσαναβάσεως Ακραβιν καὶ ἐκπεριπορεύεται Σεννα καὶ ἀναβαίνει ἀπὸ λιβὸς ἐπὶ Καδης Βαρνη καὶ ἐκπορεύεται Ασωρων καὶ προσαναβαίνει εἰς Αδδαρα καὶ περιπορεύεται τὴν κατὰ δυσμὰς Καδης And it went out to the south side to Maaleh–acrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadesh–barnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:
4 καὶ πορεύεται ἐπὶ Ασεμωνα καὶ διεκβαλεῖ ἕως φάραγγος Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν τοῦτό ἐστιν αὐτῶν ὅρια ἀπὸ λιβός From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.
5 καὶ τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν πᾶσα ἡ θάλασσα ἡ ἁλυκὴ ἕως τοῦ Ιορδάνου καὶ τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς λοφιᾶς τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ μέρους τοῦ Ιορδάνου And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:
6 ἐπιβαίνει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ Βαιθαγλα καὶ παραπορεύεται ἀπὸ βορρᾶ ἐπὶ Βαιθαραβα καὶ προσαναβαίνει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ λίθον Βαιων υἱοῦ Ρουβην And the border went up to Beth–hogla, and passed along by the north of Beth–arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:
7 καὶ προσαναβαίνει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ τὸ τέταρτον τῆς φάραγγος Αχωρ καὶ καταβαίνει ἐπὶ Γαλγαλ ἥ ἐστιν ἀπέναντι τῆς προσβάσεως Αδδαμιν ἥ ἐστιν κατὰ λίβα τῇ φάραγγι καὶ διεκβαλεῖ ἐπὶ τὸ ὕδωρ πηγῆς ἡλίου καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος πηγὴ Ρωγηλ And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En–shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En–rogel:
8 καὶ ἀναβαίνει τὰ ὅρια εἰς φάραγγα Ονομ ἐπὶ νώτου Ιεβους ἀπὸ λιβός αὕτη ἐστὶν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ διεκβάλλει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ κορυφὴν ὄρους ἥ ἐστιν κατὰ πρόσωπον φάραγγος Ονομ πρὸς θαλάσσης ἥ ἐστιν ἐκ μέρους γῆς Ραφαϊν ἐπὶ βορρᾶ And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward:
9 καὶ διεκβάλλει τὸ ὅριον ἀπὸ κορυφῆς τοῦ ὄρους ἐπὶ πηγὴν ὕδατος Ναφθω καὶ διεκβάλλει εἰς τὸ ὄρος Εφρων καὶ ἐξάξει τὸ ὅριον εἰς Βααλ αὕτη ἐστὶν πόλις Ιαριμ And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjath–jearim:
10 καὶ περιελεύσεται ὅριον ἀπὸ Βααλ ἐπὶ θάλασσαν καὶ παρελεύσεται εἰς ὄρος Ασσαρες ἐπὶ νώτου πόλιν Ιαριμ ἀπὸ βορρᾶ αὕτη ἐστὶν Χασλων καὶ καταβήσεται ἐπὶ Πόλιν ἡλίου καὶ παρελεύσεται ἐπὶ λίβα And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Beth–shemesh, and passed on to Timnah:
11 καὶ διεκβαλεῖ τὸ ὅριον κατὰ νώτου Ακκαρων ἐπὶ βορρᾶν καὶ διεκβαλεῖ τὰ ὅρια εἰς Σακχαρωνα καὶ παρελεύσεται ὄρος τῆς Βαλα καὶ διεκβαλεῖ ἐπὶ Ιαβνηλ καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ἐπὶ θάλασσαν And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
12 καὶ τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν ἀπὸ θαλάσσης ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μεγάλη ὁριεῖ ταῦτα τὰ ὅρια υἱῶν Ιουδα κύκλῳ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν And the west border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof. This is the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.
13 καὶ τῷ Χαλεβ υἱῷ Ιεφοννη ἔδωκεν μερίδα ἐν μέσῳ υἱῶν Ιουδα διὰ προστάγματος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ Ἰησοῦς τὴν πόλιν Αρβοκ μητρόπολιν Ενακ αὕτη ἐστὶν Χεβρων And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.
14 καὶ ἐξωλέθρευσεν ἐκεῖθεν Χαλεβ υἱὸς Ιεφοννη τοὺς τρεῖς υἱοὺς Ενακ τὸν Σουσι καὶ τὸν Θολμι καὶ τὸν Αχιμα And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
15 καὶ ἀνέβη ἐκεῖθεν Χαλεβ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Δαβιρ τὸ δὲ ὄνομα Δαβιρ ἦν τὸ πρότερον Πόλις γραμμάτων And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjath–sepher.
16 καὶ εἶπεν Χαλεβ ὃς ἐὰν λάβῃ καὶ ἐκκόψῃ τὴν Πόλιν τῶν γραμμάτων καὶ κυριεύσῃ αὐτῆς δώσω αὐτῷ τὴν Αχσαν θυγατέρα μου εἰς γυναῖκα And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath–sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.
17 καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν Γοθονιηλ υἱὸς Κενεζ ἀδελφὸς Χαλεβ ὁ νεώτερος καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ τὴν Αχσαν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ αὐτῷ γυναῖκα And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.
18 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ εἰσπορεύεσθαι αὐτὴν καὶ συνεβουλεύσατο αὐτῷ λέγουσα αἰτήσομαι τὸν πατέρα μου ἀγρόν καὶ ἐβόησεν ἐκ τοῦ ὄνου καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Χαλεβ τί ἐστίν σοι And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?
19 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ δός μοι εὐλογίαν ὅτι εἰς γῆν Ναγεβ δέδωκάς με δός μοι τὴν Γολαθμαιν καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῇ Χαλεβ τὴν Γολαθμαιν τὴν ἄνω καὶ τὴν Γολαθμαιν τὴν κάτω Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.
20 αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ιουδα This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
21 ἐγενήθησαν δὲ αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν πόλις πρώτη φυλῆς υἱῶν Ιουδα ἐφ’ ὁρίων Εδωμ ἐπὶ τῆς ἐρήμου Καιβαισελεηλ καὶ Αρα καὶ Ασωρ Καβσεηλ καὶ Εδραι καὶ Ιαγουρ And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
22 καὶ Ικαμ καὶ Ρεγμα καὶ Αρουηλ καὶ Κινα καὶ Διμωνα καὶ Αδαδα And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 καὶ Καδης καὶ Ασοριωναιν καὶ Κεδες καὶ Ιθναζιφ And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
24 καὶ Μαιναμ καὶ Βαλμαιναν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Τελεμ καὶ Βαλωθ Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 καὶ αἱ πόλεις Ασερων αὕτη Ασωρ καὶ πόλις Ασερων αὕτη Ασωρ And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron, which is Hazor,
26 καὶ Σην καὶ Σαλμαα καὶ Μωλαδα Αμαμ καὶ Σαμαα καὶ Μωλαδα Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 καὶ Σερι καὶ Βαιφαλαδ καὶ Ασεργαδδα καὶ Βαιθφαλεθ And Hazar–gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth–palet,
28 καὶ Χολασεωλα καὶ Βηρσαβεε καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν καὶ Ασαρσουλα καὶ Βηρσαβεε καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν And Hazar–shual, and Beer–sheba, and Bizjothjah,
29 Βαλα καὶ Βακωκ καὶ Ασομ Βααλα καὶ Αυιμ καὶ Ασεμ Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 καὶ Ελβωυδαδ καὶ Βαιθηλ καὶ Ερμα καὶ Ελθωδαδ καὶ Χασιλ καὶ Ερμα And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 καὶ Σεκελακ καὶ Μαχαριμ καὶ Σεθεννακ καὶ Σικελεγ καὶ Μεδεβηνα καὶ Σανσαννα And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32 καὶ Λαβως καὶ Σαλη καὶ Ερωμωθ πόλεις κθ# καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Λαβωθ καὶ Σελεϊμ καὶ Ρεμμων πόλεις εἴκοσι καὶ ἐννέα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages:
33 ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ Ασταωλ καὶ Ραα καὶ Ασσα ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ Εσθαολ καὶ Σαραα καὶ Ασνα And in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 καὶ Ραμεν καὶ Τανω καὶ Ιλουθωθ καὶ Μαιανι καὶ Ραμεν καὶ Ζανω καὶ Αδιαθαϊμ καὶ Ηναϊμ And Zanoah, and En–gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 καὶ Ιερμουθ καὶ Οδολλαμ καὶ Μεμβρα καὶ Σαωχω καὶ Αζηκα καὶ Ιεριμουθ καὶ Οδολλαμ καὶ Νεμρα καὶ Σωχω καὶ Αζηκα Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 καὶ Σακαριμ καὶ Γαδηρα καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς πόλεις δέκα τέσσαρες καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Σαργαριμ καὶ Γαδηρα καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς πόλεις δέκα τέσσαρες καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages:
37 Σεννα καὶ Αδασαν καὶ Μαγαδαγαδ Σενναν καὶ Αδασα καὶ Μαγδαλγαδ Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal–gad,
38 καὶ Δαλαλ καὶ Μασφα καὶ Ιακαρεηλ καὶ Δαλααν καὶ Μασφα καὶ Ιεχθαηλ And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39 καὶ Λαχης καὶ Βασηδωθ καὶ Ιδεαδαλεα καὶ Λαχις καὶ Βαζκαθ καὶ Αγλων Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 καὶ Χαβρα καὶ Μαχες καὶ Μααχως καὶ Χαββα καὶ Λαμας καὶ Χαθλως And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41 καὶ Γεδδωρ καὶ Βαγαδιηλ καὶ Νωμαν καὶ Μακηδαν πόλεις δεκαὲξ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Γαδηρωθ καὶ Βηθδαγων καὶ Νωμα καὶ Μακηδα πόλεις δεκαὲξ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν And Gederoth, Beth–dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:
42 Λεμνα καὶ Ιθακ Λεβνα καὶ Αθερ Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 καὶ Ανωχ καὶ Ιανα καὶ Νασιβ καὶ Ιεφθα καὶ Ασεννα καὶ Νεσιβ And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 καὶ Κεϊλαμ καὶ Ακιεζι καὶ Κεζιβ καὶ Βαθησαρ καὶ Αιλων πόλεις δέκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Κεϊλα καὶ Αχζιβ καὶ Μαρησα καὶ Εδωμ πόλεις ἐννέα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:
45 Ακκαρων καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν Ακκαρων καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς Ekron, with her towns and her villages:
46 ἀπὸ Ακκαρων Γεμνα καὶ πᾶσαι ὅσαι εἰσὶν πλησίον Ασηδωθ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ Ακκαρων Ιεμναι καὶ πᾶσαι ὅσαι εἰσὶν πλησίον Ασδωδ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι From Ekron even unto the sea, all that lay near Ashdod, with their villages:
47 Ασιεδωθ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς Γάζα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς ἕως τοῦ χειμάρρου Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μεγάλη διορίζει αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς Γάζα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῆς καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῆς ἕως τοῦ χειμάρρου Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μεγάλη διορίζει Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof:
48 καὶ ἐν τῇ ὀρεινῇ Σαμιρ καὶ Ιεθερ καὶ Σωχα καὶ ἐν τῇ ὀρεινῇ Σαφιρ καὶ Ιεθερ καὶ Σωχω And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
49 καὶ Ρεννα καὶ Πόλις γραμμάτων αὕτη Δαβιρ καὶ Ρεννα πόλις γραμμάτων αὕτη ἐστὶν Δαβιρ And Dannah, and Kirjath–sannah, which is Debir,
50 καὶ Ανων καὶ Εσκαιμαν καὶ Αισαμ καὶ Ανωβ καὶ Εσθεμω καὶ Ανιμ And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51 καὶ Γοσομ καὶ Χαλου καὶ Χαννα πόλεις ἕνδεκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Γοσομ καὶ Χιλουων καὶ Γηλων πόλεις δέκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages:
52 Αιρεμ καὶ Ρεμνα καὶ Σομα Ερεβ καὶ Εσαν καὶ Ρουμα Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 καὶ Ιεμαϊν καὶ Βαιθαχου καὶ Φακουα καὶ Ιανουμ καὶ Βαιθθαπφουε καὶ Αφακα And Janum, and Beth–tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 καὶ Ευμα καὶ πόλις Αρβοκ αὕτη ἐστὶν Χεβρων καὶ Σωρθ πόλεις ἐννέα καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν καὶ Χαμματα καὶ πόλις Αρβο αὕτη ἐστὶν Χεβρων καὶ Σιωρ πόλεις ἐννέα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν And Humtah, and Kirjath–arba, which is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages:
55 Μαωρ καὶ Χερμελ καὶ Οζιβ καὶ Ιταν Μαων καὶ Χερμελ καὶ Ζιφ καὶ Ιεττα Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
56 καὶ Ιαριηλ καὶ Ιαρικαμ καὶ Ζακαναϊμ καὶ Ιεζραελ καὶ Ιεκδααμ καὶ Ζανωακιμ And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 καὶ Γαβαα καὶ Θαμναθα πόλεις ἐννέα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Γαβαα καὶ Θαμνα πόλεις ἐννέα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages:
58 Αλουα καὶ Βαιθσουρ καὶ Γεδδων Αλουλ καὶ Βαιθσουρ καὶ Γεδωρ Halhul, Beth–zur, and Gedor,
59 καὶ Μαγαρωθ καὶ Βαιθαναμ καὶ Θεκουμ πόλεις ἓξ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν Θεκω καὶ Εφραθα αὕτη ἐστὶν Βαιθλεεμ καὶ Φαγωρ καὶ Αιταν καὶ Κουλον καὶ Ταταμ καὶ Εωβης καὶ Καρεμ καὶ Γαλεμ καὶ Θεθηρ καὶ Μανοχω πόλεις ἕνδεκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Μαρωθ καὶ Βαιθανωθ καὶ Ελθεκεν πόλεις ἓξ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν Θεκω καὶ Εφραθα αὕτη ἐστὶν Βηθλεεμ καὶ Φαγωρ καὶ Αιταμ καὶ Κουλον καὶ Ταταμι καὶ Σωρης καὶ Καρεμ καὶ Γαλλιμ καὶ Βαιθηρ καὶ Μανοχω πόλεις ἕνδεκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν And Maarath, and Beth–anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:
60 Καριαθβααλ αὕτη ἡ πόλις Ιαριμ καὶ Σωθηβα πόλεις δύο καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν Καριαθβααλ αὕτη πόλις Ιαριμ καὶ Αρεββα πόλεις δύο καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν Kirjath–baal, which is Kirjath–jearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:
61 καὶ Βαδδαργις καὶ Θαραβααμ καὶ Αινων καὶ Αιχιοζα Βαδδαργις καὶ Βηθαραβα καὶ Μαδων καὶ Σοχοχα In the wilderness, Beth–arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 καὶ Ναφλαζων καὶ αἱ πόλεις Σαδωμ καὶ Ανκαδης πόλεις ἑπτὰ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ Νεβσαν καὶ αἱ πόλεις ἁλῶν καὶ Ηνγαδδι πόλεις ἑπτὰ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En–gedi; six cities with their villages.
63 καὶ ὁ Ιεβουσαῖος κατῴκει ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνάσθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ιουδα ἀπολέσαι αὐτούς καὶ κατῴκησαν οἱ Ιεβουσαῖοι ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ἐκείνης As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.
