1	E vós estáveis mortos em ofensas e pecados,	And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2	nos quais antes andastes conforme o proceder deste mundo, conforme o príncipe do poder do ar, do espírito que agora opera nos filhos da desobediência.	Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3	Entre esses também todos nós antes andávamos nos desejos da nossa carne, fazendo a vontade da carne e dos pensamentos; e éramos por natureza filhos da ira, como também os outros.	Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4	Mas Deus, que é rico em misericórdia, pelo seu muito amor com que nos amou,	But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5	estando nós ainda mortos em nossas ofensas, nos deu vida juntamente com Cristo (pela graça sois salvos),	Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6	nos ressuscitou, juntamente com ele , e nos fez sentar nos lugares celestiais, em Cristo Jesus;	And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7	para mostrar nos tempos futuros as abundantes riquezas da sua graça, pela sua bondade conosco em Cristo Jesus.	That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8	Porque pela graça sois salvos, por meio da fé; e isto não vem de vós; é dom de Deus;	For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9	não por obras, para que ninguém tenha orgulho de si mesmo.	Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10	Pois nós fomos feitos por ele, criados em Cristo Jesus para as boas obras, que Deus preparou para que nelas andássemos.	For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
11	Portanto, lembrai-vos de que vós, antes, éreis gentios na carne, e chamados de não-circuncidados pelos que se chamam participantes da circuncisão na carne, feita por mãos humanas;	Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12	que naquele tempo estáveis sem Cristo, excluídos da comunidade de Israel, e estranhos aos pactos da promessa, não tendo esperança, e sem Deus no mundo.	That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13	Mas agora em Cristo Jesus, vós que antes estáveis longe, chegastes para perto pelo sangue de Cristo,	But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14	pois ele é a nossa paz. Dos dois povos ele fez um, e derrubou do meio o muro da separação.	For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15	Na sua carne ele desfez a inimizade da Lei dos mandamentos que consistia em ordenanças, para criar em si mesmo os dois em um novo homem, fazendo a paz;	Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16	e pela cruz reconciliar com Deus a ambos num só corpo, matando nela a inimizade.	And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17	Ele veio, e proclamou o evangelho da paz a vós que estáveis longe, e aos que estavam perto.	And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18	Pois por meio dele ambos temos acesso ao Pai por um mesmo Espírito.	For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19	Portanto, já não sois estrangeiros, nem forasteiros, mas sim, concidadãos dos santos, e membros da família de Deus,	Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20	edificados sobre o fundamento dos apóstolos e dos profetas, do qual Jesus Cristo é a pedra principal da esquina.	And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21	Nele o edifício todo, bem ajustado, cresce para ser um templo santo no Senhor.	In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22	Nele também vós sois juntamente edificados para serdes morada de Deus em Espírito.	In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
