| 1 | Ouve, Deus, minha voz, em minha meditação de súplica ; guarda minha vida do terror do inimigo. | Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. |
| 2 | Esconde-me do grupo dos malignos, e do ajuntamento dos praticantes de maldade, | Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: |
| 3 | Que afiam sua língua como se fosse espada; e armaram palavras amargas como se fossem flechas. | Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: |
| 4 | Para atirarem no inocente às escondidas; disparam apressadamente contra ele, e não têm medo. | That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. |
| 5 | Eles são ousados para fazerem coisas más, comentam sobre como esconder armadilhas, e dizem: Quem as verá? | They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? |
| 6 | Eles buscam por perversidades; procuram tudo o que pode ser procurado, até o interior de cada homem, e as profundezas do coração. | They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. |
| 7 | Mas Deus os atingirá com flecha de repente; e logo serão feridos. | But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. |
| 8 | E a língua deles fará com que tropecem em si mesmos; todo aquele que olhar para eles se afastará. | So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. |
| 9 | E todos os homens terão medo, e anunciarão a obra de Deus, e observarão cuidadosamente o que ele fez. | And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. |
| 10 | O justo se alegará no SENHOR, e confiará nele; e todos os corretos de coração o glorificarão. | The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory. |
