| 1 | Então Bildade, o suíta, respondeu, dizendo: | Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, |
| 2 | O domínio e o temor estão com ele; ele faz paz em suas alturas. | Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. |
| 3 | Por acaso suas tropas têm número? E sobre quem não se levanta sua luz? | Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? |
| 4 | Como, pois, o ser humano seria justo para com Deus? E como seria puro aquele que nasce de mulher? | How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? |
| 5 | Eis que até a luz não tem brilho; nem as estrelas são puras diante de seus olhos. | Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. |
| 6 | Quanto menos o ser humano, que é uma larva, e o filho de homem, que é um verme. | How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm? |
