| 2 | Se é que já ouvistes da responsabilidade acerca da graça de Deus, que me foi dada para vós; | If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: |
| 3 | que por revelação me foi dado a conhecer este mistério (conforme já vos escrevi um pouco; | How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, |
| 4 | quando o ledes, podeis entender o meu entendimento deste mistério de Cristo). | Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) |
| 5 | Esse mistério em outras gerações não foi dado a conhecer aos seres humanos , como agora foi revelado pelo Espírito aos seus santos apóstolos e profetas: | Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; |
| 6 | isto é, que os gentios são conjuntamente herdeiros, membros de um mesmo corpo, e participantes da promessa em Cristo Jesus por meio do evangelho. | That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: |
| 7 | Eu fui feito servidor desse evangelho conforme o dom da graça de Deus, que me foi dada segundo a operação do seu poder. | Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. |
| 8 | A mim, o menor de todos os santos, foi dada esta graça de anunciar aos gentios, por meio do Evangelho, as inimagináveis riquezas de Cristo, | Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; |
| 9 | E para esclarecer qual é a administração do mistério que desde as eras passadas esteve oculto em Deus, que criou todas as coisas, | And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: |
| 10 | para que a multiforme sabedoria de Deus seja agora manifestada pela igreja aos domínios e autoridades nos lugares celestes, | To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, |
| 11 | conforme o eterno propósito que ele cumpriu em Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor, | According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: |
| 12 | no qual temos coragem e acesso confiante pela fé nele. | In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. |
| 13 | Portanto, eu vos peço que não vos desanimeis em minhas aflições por vós. Elas são a vossa glória. | Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. |
| 14 | Por causa disso me ponho de joelhos diante do Pai; | For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, |
| 15 | do qual toda a família nos céus e na terra recebe nome. | Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, |
| 16 | Oro para que, conforme a sua riquíssima glória, ele vos conceda que sejais fortalecidos com poder pelo seu Espírito no interior de cada um, | That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; |
| 17 | para que Cristo habite em vossos corações pela fé. Oro para que vós estejais enraizados e firmados no amor, | That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, |
| 18 | e assim possais compreender, com todos os santos, qual é a largura, comprimento, profundidade, e altura, | May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; |
| 19 | e conhecer o amor de Cristo, que excede o entendimento, para que sejais cheios de toda a plenitude de Deus. | And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. |
| 20 | E quanto àquele que é poderoso para fazer tudo muito mais abundantemente do que pedimos ou pensamos, segundo o poder que opera em nós, | Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, |
| 21 | a ele seja a glória na Igreja, e em Cristo Jesus, por todas as gerações para todo o sempre, Amém! | Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. |
