| 1 | Diga Israel: Desde minha juventude muitas vezes me afligiram. | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say: |
| 2 | Desde minha juventude, muitas vezes me afligiram, porém não prevaleceram contra mim. | Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. |
| 3 | Lavradores lavraram sobre minhas costas, fizeram compridos os seus sulcos. | The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. |
| 4 | O SENHOR é justo; ele cortou as cordas dos perversos. | The Lord is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked. |
| 5 | Sejam envergonhados, e voltem para trás todos os que odeiam a Sião. | Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. |
| 6 | Sejam como a erva dos telhados, que se seca antes que cresça. | Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up: |
| 7 | Com que o ceifeiro não enche sua mão, nem o braço daquele que amarra os molhos. | Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom. |
| 8 | Nem também os que passam, dizem: A bênção do SENHOR seja sobre vós; nós vos bendizemos no nome do SENHOR. | Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we bless you in the name of the Lord. |
