| 3 | Eles teriam nos devorado vivos, quando o furor deles se acendeu contra nós. | Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: |
| 4 | As águas teriam nos coberto, e a corrente de águas teria passado por sobre nossas almas. | Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: |
| 5 | Águas violentas teriam passado por sobre nossas almas. | Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. |
| 6 | Bendito seja o SENHOR, que não nos entregou como presa aos dentes deles. | Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. |
| 7 | Nossa alma escapou como um pássaro da armadilha dos caçadores; a cadeia se quebrou, e nós escapamos. | Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. |
| 8 | Nosso socorro está no nome do SENHOR, que fez o céu e a terra. | Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. |
