1	Das hohepriesterliche Gebet Solches redete Jesus und hob seine Augen auf zum Himmel und sprach: Vater, die Stunde ist gekommen: Verherrliche deinen Sohn, auf dass der Sohn dich verherrliche;	These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2	so wie du ihm Macht gegeben hast über alle Menschen, auf dass er ihnen alles gebe, was du ihm gegeben hast: das ewige Leben.	As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3	Das ist aber das ewige Leben, dass sie dich, der du allein wahrer Gott bist, und den du gesandt hast, Jesus Christus, erkennen.	And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4	Ich habe dich verherrlicht auf Erden und das Werk vollendet, das du mir gegeben hast, damit ich es tue.	I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5	Und nun, Vater, verherrliche du mich bei dir mit der Herrlichkeit, die ich bei dir hatte, ehe die Welt war.	And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6	Ich habe deinen Namen den Menschen offenbart, die du mir aus der Welt gegeben hast. Sie waren dein, und du hast sie mir gegeben, und sie haben dein Wort bewahrt.	I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7	Nun wissen sie, dass alles, was du mir gegeben hast, von dir kommt.	Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8	Denn die Worte, die du mir gegeben hast, habe ich ihnen gegeben, und sie haben sie angenommen und wahrhaftig erkannt, dass ich von dir ausgegangen bin, und sie glauben, dass du mich gesandt hast.	For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9	Ich bitte für sie. Nicht für die Welt bitte ich, sondern für die, die du mir gegeben hast, denn sie sind dein.	I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10	Und alles, was mein ist, das ist dein, und was dein ist, das ist mein; und ich bin in ihnen verherrlicht.	And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
11	Und ich bin nicht mehr in der Welt; sie aber sind in der Welt, und ich komme zu dir. Heiliger Vater, erhalte sie in deinem Namen, den du mir gegeben hast, dass sie eins seien wie wir.	And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
12	Solange ich bei ihnen war, erhielt ich sie in deinem Namen, den du mir gegeben hast, und ich habe sie bewahrt, und keiner von ihnen ist verloren außer dem Sohn des Verderbens, damit die Schrift erfüllt werde.	While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13	Nun aber komme ich zu dir, und dies rede ich in der Welt, auf dass meine Freude in ihnen vollkommen sei.	And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14	Ich habe ihnen dein Wort gegeben, und die Welt hasst sie; denn sie sind nicht von der Welt, wie auch ich nicht von der Welt bin.	I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15	Ich bitte nicht, dass du sie aus der Welt nimmst, sondern dass du sie bewahrst vor dem Bösen.	I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16	Sie sind nicht von der Welt, wie auch ich nicht von der Welt bin.	They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17	Heilige sie in der Wahrheit; dein Wort ist die Wahrheit.	Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18	Wie du mich gesandt hast in die Welt, so habe auch ich sie in die Welt gesandt.	As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19	Ich heilige mich selbst für sie, auf dass auch sie geheiligt seien in der Wahrheit.	And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20	Ich bitte aber nicht allein für sie, sondern auch für die, die durch ihr Wort an mich glauben werden,	Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21	dass sie alle eins seien. Wie du, Vater, in mir bist und ich in dir, so sollen auch sie in uns sein, auf dass die Welt glaube, dass du mich gesandt hast.	That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22	Und ich habe ihnen die Herrlichkeit gegeben, die du mir gegeben hast, auf dass sie eins seien, wie wir eins sind,	And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23	ich in ihnen und du in mir, auf dass sie vollkommen eins seien und die Welt erkenne, dass du mich gesandt hast und sie liebst, wie du mich liebst.	I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24	Vater, ich will, dass, wo ich bin, auch die bei mir seien, die du mir gegeben hast, damit sie meine Herrlichkeit sehen, die du mir gegeben hast; denn du hast mich geliebt, ehe die Welt gegründet war.	Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25	Gerechter Vater, die Welt kennt dich nicht; ich aber kenne dich, und diese haben erkannt, dass du mich gesandt hast.	O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26	Und ich habe ihnen deinen Namen kundgetan und werde ihn kundtun, damit die Liebe, mit der du mich liebst, in ihnen sei und ich in ihnen.	And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
