1	Die Stämme jenseits des Jordans Die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels – denn er war zwar der Erstgeborene, aber weil er seines Vaters Bett entweihte, wurde sein Erstgeburtsrecht gegeben den Söhnen Josefs, des Sohnes Israels, doch wurde er nicht in das Geschlechtsregister als Erstgeborener aufgezeichnet;	Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2	denn Juda war mächtig unter seinen Brüdern, und aus ihm sollte der Fürst kommen, Josef aber erhielt das Erstgeburtsrecht –	For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)
3	die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels, sind: Henoch, Pallu, Hezron und Karmi.	The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
4	Die Söhne Joels aber waren: Schemaja, dessen Sohn war Gog, dessen Sohn war Schimi,	The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
5	dessen Sohn war Micha, dessen Sohn war Reaja, dessen Sohn war Baal,	Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
6	dessen Sohn war Beera, den Tiglat-Pileser, der König von Assur, gefangen wegführte. Er aber war ein Fürst der Rubeniter.	Beerah his son, whom Tilgath–pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
7	Aber seine Brüder nach ihren Geschlechtern, wie sie in das Geschlechtsregister aufgezeichnet wurden, waren: Jëiël, der erste, und Secharja	And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
8	und Bela, der Sohn des Asas, des Sohnes Schemas, des Sohnes Joels. Der wohnte zu Aroër und bis nach Nebo und Baal-Meon	And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal–meon:
9	und wohnte nach Osten zu bis an die Wüste am Euphratstrom; denn sie hatten viel Vieh im Lande Gilead.	And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
10	Und zur Zeit Sauls führten sie Krieg gegen die Hagariter, und diese fielen durch ihre Hand, und sie wohnten in deren Zelten auf der ganzen Ostgrenze von Gilead.	And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.
11	Die Söhne Gad aber wohnten ihnen gegenüber im Lande Baschan bis nach Salcha:	And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:
12	Joel, der erste, und Schafam, der zweite, ferner Janai und Schafat in Baschan.	Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13	Und ihre Brüder nach ihren Sippen waren: Michael, Meschullam, Scheba, Jorai, Jakan, Sia und Eber, diese sieben.	And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
14	Das sind die Söhne Abihajils, des Sohnes Huris, des Sohnes Jaroachs, des Sohnes Gileads, des Sohnes Michaels, des Sohnes Jeschischais, des Sohnes Jachdos, des Sohnes des Bus.	These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
15	Ahi, der Sohn Abdiëls, des Sohnes Gunis, war Haupt ihrer Sippen.	Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
16	Und sie wohnten zu Gilead in Baschan und in seinen Tochterstädten und in allen Fluren Scharons bis an ihre Enden.	And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
17	Diese wurden alle aufgezeichnet zur Zeit Jotams, des Königs von Juda, und Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel.	All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18	Von den Rubenitern, den Gaditern und dem halben Stamm Manasse zählten die streitbaren Männer, die Schild und Schwert führen und Bogen spannen konnten und kriegskundig waren, 44760, die in den Kampf ziehen konnten.	The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
19	Und sie kämpften mit den Hagaritern und mit Jetur, Nafisch und Nodab.	And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
20	Und es wurde ihnen geholfen gegen sie, und die Hagariter wurden in ihre Hände gegeben und alle, die mit ihnen waren. Denn sie schrien zu Gott im Kampf, und er ließ sich erbitten; denn sie vertrauten ihm.	And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
21	Und sie führten weg ihr Vieh, 50000 Kamele, 250000 Schafe, 2000 Esel, und 100000 Menschen.	And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
22	Dazu waren viele erschlagen liegen geblieben, denn der Krieg war von Gott. Und sie wohnten an ihrer statt bis zur Zeit, wo sie gefangen weggeführt wurden.	For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
23	Die Söhne des halben Stammes Manasse aber wohnten im Lande von Baschan bis Baal-Hermon und bis zum Senir und bis zum Berg Hermon. Und ihrer waren viele.	And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal–hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
24	Und dies waren die Häupter ihrer Sippen: Efer, Jischi, Eliël, Asriël, Jirmeja, Hodawja, Jachdiël, gewaltige Männer und berühmte Häupter ihrer Sippen.	And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.
25	Da sie aber dem Gott ihrer Väter untreu wurden und abfielen zu den Götzen der Völker des Landes, die Gott vor ihnen vertilgt hatte,	And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
26	erweckte der Gott Israels den Geist des Pul, des Königs von Assyrien, und den Geist Tiglat-Pilesers, des Königs von Assyrien, und er führte weg die Rubeniter, Gaditer und den halben Stamm Manasse und brachte sie nach Halach und an den Habor und nach Hara und an den Fluss Gosan bis auf diesen Tag.	And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath–pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
27	Die Geschlechter Levis Die Söhne Levis waren: Gerschon, Kehat und Merari.	—
28	Die Söhne Kehats aber waren: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Usiël.	—
29	Die Kinder Amrams waren: Aaron und Mose und Mirjam. Die Söhne Aarons waren: Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar.	—
30	Eleasar zeugte Pinhas. Pinhas zeugte Abischua.	—
31	Abischua zeugte Bukki. Bukki zeugte Usi.	—
32	Usi zeugte Serachja. Serachja zeugte Merajot.	—
33	Merajot zeugte Amarja. Amarja zeugte Ahitub.	—
34	Ahitub zeugte Zadok. Zadok zeugte Ahimaaz.	—
35	Ahimaaz zeugte Asarja. Asarja zeugte Johanan.	—
36	Johanan zeugte Asarja; das ist der, der Priester war in dem Hause, das Salomo gebaut hatte zu Jerusalem.	—
37	Asarja zeugte Amarja. Amarja zeugte Ahitub.	—
38	Ahitub zeugte Zadok. Zadok zeugte Schallum.	—
39	Schallum zeugte Hilkija. Hilkija zeugte Asarja.	—
40	Asarja zeugte Seraja. Seraja zeugte Jozadak.	—
41	Jozadak aber wurde mit weggeführt, als der Herr Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezar gefangen wegführen ließ.	—
