1	Gottes Walten in Schöpfung und Geschichte Lobet den Herrn! / Denn unsern Gott loben, das ist ein köstlich Ding, ihn loben ist lieblich und schön.	Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
2	Der Herr baut Jerusalem auf und bringt zusammen die Verstreuten Israels.	The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
3	Er heilt, die zerbrochenen Herzens sind, und verbindet ihre Wunden.	He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4	Er zählt die Sterne und nennt sie alle mit Namen.	He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
5	Unser Herr ist groß und von großer Kraft, und unermesslich ist seine Weisheit.	Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6	Der Herr richtet die Elenden auf und stößt die Frevler zu Boden.	The Lord lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
7	Singt dem Herrn ein Danklied und lobt unsern Gott mit Harfen,	Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
8	der den Himmel mit Wolken bedeckt / und Regen gibt auf Erden; der Gras auf den Bergen wachsen lässt,	Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
9	der dem Vieh sein Futter gibt, den jungen Raben, die zu ihm rufen.	He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
10	Er hat keine Freude an der Stärke des Rosses noch Gefallen an den Schenkeln des Mannes.	He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
11	Der Herr hat Gefallen an denen, die ihn fürchten, die auf seine Güte hoffen.	The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
12	Preise, Jerusalem, den Herrn; lobe, Zion, deinen Gott!	Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
13	Denn er macht fest die Riegel deiner Tore und segnet deine Kinder in deiner Mitte.	For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
14	Er schafft deinen Grenzen Frieden und sättigt dich mit dem besten Weizen.	He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
15	Er sendet seine Rede auf die Erde, sein Wort läuft schnell.	He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
16	Er gibt Schnee wie Wolle, er streut Reif wie Asche.	He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
17	Er wirft seine Schloßen herab wie Brocken; wer kann bleiben vor seinem Frost?	He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18	Er sendet sein Wort, da schmilzt der Schnee; er lässt seinen Wind wehen, da taut es.	He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19	Er verkündigt Jakob sein Wort, Israel seine Gebote und sein Recht.	He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
20	So hat er an keinem Volk getan; sein Recht kennen sie nicht. Halleluja!	He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord.
