1	Anbetung des lebendigen Gottes Halleluja! Lobet den Namen des Herrn, lobet, ihr Knechte des Herrn,	Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord.
2	die ihr steht im Hause des Herrn, in den Vorhöfen des Hauses unsres Gottes!	Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God,
3	Lobet den Herrn, denn der Herr ist freundlich; lobsinget seinem Namen, denn er ist lieblich!	Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
4	Denn der Herr hat sich Jakob erwählt, Israel zu seinem Eigentum.	For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.
5	Ja, ich weiß, dass der Herr groß ist und unser Herr über allen Göttern.	For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
6	Alles, was der Herr will, das tut er im Himmel und auf Erden, im Meer und in allen Tiefen;	Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
7	der die Wolken lässt aufsteigen vom Ende der Erde, / der die Blitze samt dem Regen macht, der den Wind herausführt aus seinen Kammern;	He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
8	der die Erstgeburten schlug in Ägypten bei den Menschen und beim Vieh	Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
9	und ließ Zeichen und Wunder kommen über dich, Ägyptenland, über den Pharao und alle seine Knechte;	Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
10	der viele Völker schlug und tötete mächtige Könige,	Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
11	Sihon, den König der Amoriter, / und Og, den König von Baschan, und alle Königreiche in Kanaan,	Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
12	und gab ihr Land zum Erbe, zum Erbe seinem Volk Israel.	And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.
13	Herr, dein Name währet ewiglich, dein Ruhm, Herr, währet für und für.	Thy name, O Lord, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O Lord, throughout all generations.
14	Denn der Herr schafft Recht seinem Volk und wird seinen Knechten gnädig sein.	For the Lord will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.
15	Die Götzen der Heiden sind Silber und Gold, gemacht von Menschenhänden.	The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
16	Sie haben Mäuler und reden nicht, sie haben Augen und sehen nicht,	They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
17	sie haben Ohren und hören nicht, auch ist kein Odem in ihrem Munde.	They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
18	Die solche Götzen machen, sind ihnen gleich, alle, die auf sie hoffen.	They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.
19	Das Haus Israel lobe den Herrn! Lobet den Herrn, ihr vom Hause Aaron!	Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: bless the Lord, O house of Aaron:
20	Ihr vom Hause Levi, lobet den Herrn! Die ihr den Herrn fürchtet, lobet den Herrn!	Bless the Lord, O house of Levi: ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
21	Gelobt sei der Herr aus Zion, der zu Jerusalem wohnt! Halleluja!	Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
