1	Gottes Hoheit und Huld Halleluja! Lobet, ihr Knechte des Herrn, lobet den Namen des Herrn!	Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
2	Gelobt sei der Name des Herrn von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!	Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.
3	Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobet der Name des Herrn!	From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised.
4	Der Herr ist hoch über alle Völker; seine Herrlichkeit reicht, so weit der Himmel ist.	The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.
5	Wer ist wie der Herr, unser Gott, der oben thront in der Höhe,	Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,
6	der niederschaut in die Tiefe, auf Himmel und Erde;	Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
7	der den Geringen aufrichtet aus dem Staube und erhöht den Armen aus dem Schmutz,	He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8	dass er ihn setze neben die Fürsten, neben die Fürsten seines Volkes;	That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
9	der die Unfruchtbare im Hause wohnen lässt, dass sie eine fröhliche Kindermutter wird. Halleluja!	He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.
