1	Gegen die führenden Männer in Juda Und ich sprach: Höret doch, ihr Häupter Jakobs und ihr Herren im Hause Israel! Ihr solltet die sein, die das Recht kennen.	And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
2	Aber sie hassen das Gute und lieben das Arge; sie schinden ihnen die Haut ab und das Fleisch von ihren Knochen	Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3	und fressen das Fleisch meines Volks. Und wenn sie ihnen die Haut abgezogen und ihnen die Knochen zerbrochen haben, zerlegen sie es wie für den Topf und wie Fleisch für den Kessel.	Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
4	Wenn sie dann zum Herrn schreien, wird er sie nicht erhören, sondern wird sein Angesicht vor ihnen verbergen zur selben Zeit, wie sie es mit ihrem bösen Treiben verdient haben.	Then shall they cry unto the Lord, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
5	So spricht der Herr wider die Propheten, die mein Volk verführen, die da predigen, es werde gut gehen, wenn man ihnen zu fressen gibt; wer ihnen aber nichts ins Maul gibt, dem erklären sie den Krieg.	Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
6	Darum kommt Nacht über euch statt Gesicht und Finsternis statt Wahrsagung. Die Sonne soll über den Propheten untergehen und der Tag über ihnen finster werden.	Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
7	Und die Seher sollen zuschanden und die Wahrsager zu Spott werden; sie müssen alle ihren Bart verhüllen, weil Gott nicht antworten wird.	Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
8	Ich aber bin voll Kraft, voll Geist des Herrn, voll Recht und Stärke, dass ich Jakob seine Übertretung und Israel seine Sünde anzeigen kann.	But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9	So höret doch dies, ihr Häupter im Hause Jakob und ihr Herren im Hause Israel, die ihr das Recht verabscheut und alles, was gerade ist, krumm macht;	Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
10	die ihr Zion mit Blut baut und Jerusalem mit Unrecht.	They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11	Jerusalems Häupter sprechen Recht für Geschenke, seine Priester lehren für Lohn, und seine Propheten wahrsagen für Geld, und dennoch verlassen sie sich auf den Herrn und sprechen: »Ist nicht der Herr unter uns? Es kann kein Unglück über uns kommen«:	The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us.
12	Darum wird Zion um euretwillen zum Acker umgepflügt werden, und Jerusalem wird zu Steinhaufen werden und der Berg des Tempels zu einer Höhe wilden Gestrüpps.	Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
